This original version is the way RATT created it. It's the way it was intended and sounds much heavier than the original album release on Out of the Cellar. I enjoy comparing both!
I have listened to all these different versions of this song for the last 2 weeks and I've concluded that Robin is the architect and master of the song and Demartini is the Johnny Ringo of delivery.
I like this version a little bit better then the out of the cellar version. More of a classic rock sound. Really like the drumming in the later stage of it
RIP both Robbin Crosby and now, Julie E. "Tawny" Kitaen... Incidentally, this song was written by Stephen Pearcy, specifically about Robbin and Tawny's rocky relationship, and how she'd often come crawling back to Crosby after only a few days away...
Always loved this version... There are two versions of this song- one without Juan's bass pops and this version with them. I dig both versions Ratt 'N' Roll
Imagine being these guys at this stage of their careers- just recorded and released an EP and they were on the verge of recording and releasing one of the BEST rock albums of the 1980's. They were so young and were about to just explode.
my first for real ferreal concert, Ratt y Bon Jovi.. so much weed, fishnets and desire that night!!! 30+ yrs later i still dig em... no lies, just integrity!!!
This version is such a vast improvement over the other one! More dynamic between loud/quiet, thicker bass tone and audible note voicings, additional melodic interlude in the middle. Superior offering in almost every way. They must have had better studio engineers with this one.
You turn him away, you tell him you're mine You make him believe you're but one of a kind You give him a cold look, you tell him a lie You turn him away, girl, you know you're mine And you're back, you're back for more You turn away, you're back for more You gave him an inch, he took you a mile He made you believe you're society's child Then get in his new car, get in his style I told you his way, he won't take you far And you're back, you're back for more You turn away, you're back for more And you're back, you're back for more You turn away, you're back for more
I like Juan Crocier's farty bass , I don't care what everybody else says this je thé best version of Back for More. The Out of the Cellar version fine. But this is my personal opinion. It's awesome. Very Sick actually......
Dan Scott Bass players back then were experimenting with that technique, sound, and trying new basses, ie: Steinberger etc. Personally i never tried to play it, an incidental or accent maybe. I wrote keyboard parts to all of Ratt's music but kept it to myself. Probably wouldn't go over well
So if you listen real closely you can hear like a fairly loud fart sound effect 1:29. What the hell is this recording? Out of the Cellar version is cooler, WTF?
To answer your question. This recording is the one that Atlantic Records re-released after the huge sales success of "Out of The Cellar." At the the time, back in 1984, many fans had written into both the band's fan club and Atlantic Records asking them to re-release the band's EP on cassette since the band's original self-distributed Time Coast Records pressings had a very poor low frequency sound quality to them. Cassette tapes were very popular at the time. So, engineers at Atlantic remixed Ratt's original EP recording with the added bass parts that you're hearing and re-released it 1984 with both sides of the cassette containing the whole EP. Because Ratt hadn't yet signed to Atlantic Records when the EP was originally recorded and self distributed on Ratt's label Time Coast Records, Atlantic Records had to include Time Coast Communications on all pressing of their re-released version for legal reasons. The original EP release is here without the added bass parts: th-cam.com/video/ReoIDf39nO0/w-d-xo.html
It's an actual fart. The producer asked the bassist, as an experiment, to grab his butt cheeks and fart into the mic during the recording session. The way it was mic'ed up left quite an impression. This started a trend in the early to mid-80s of producers asking bands to fart into the mic so they could incorporate it into albums tracks. But it all started with RATT. Little known fact!
This original version is the way RATT created it. It's the way it was intended and sounds much heavier than the original album release on Out of the Cellar. I enjoy comparing both!
This version is the best hands down!!!!
no F ing way, chech your ears bro, this one is terrible , glad they re did it.
@@maidendimeola65 Raw metal is far better, wtfdym
Warren is a great guitarist. Owned the 80s
This is all Crosby. Warren never played on this version.
He is but Jake E Lee played this version i think
@@briannorman952No, this is obviously Warren
Still listening to this masterpiece 2023 - RATT Forever 🙏🏿❤️🌹
this ep is bout as close to ratt as you can get, before the fame, wish i could've seen em back in that raw state, clubbing round
I have listened to all these different versions of this song for the last 2 weeks and I've concluded that Robin is the architect and master of the song and Demartini is the Johnny Ringo of delivery.
its robins masterpiece, and this version is the best.. you have more of the song, the bridge or whatever at the end is genius
I like this version a little bit better then the out of the cellar version. More of a classic rock sound. Really like the drumming in the later stage of it
What does Johnny ringo supposed to mean?
Yeah Robin wrote the classic RATT riffs. After dancing undercover, DeMartini wrote most of the material and it didn't sound anything like this
RIP both Robbin Crosby and now, Julie E. "Tawny" Kitaen... Incidentally, this song was written by Stephen Pearcy, specifically about Robbin and Tawny's rocky relationship, and how she'd often come crawling back to Crosby after only a few days away...
That is crazy
RIP. Also Tawny's legs on the cover of this EP.
@@E.F.-777-1 I KNOW She had nice legs
Great inside info! Thx
Robbin was a fucking god in the 80s. I'm not surprised she came crawling back to him.
How did I not know that my favorite Ratt song was even better??!!
Love the bass in this version
Hello 3 year old comment - Me too! its absolutely poppin!

@@Rose.Of.Hizaki hello 7 month old comment. I love it too ,it is poppin! You have great taste in Rock!
Killer bass sound
Best version of Back For More. Way better than the Out of the Cellar version
Far better than the later over produced version. This was when we were going to see Ratt in the Hollywood clubs before they got signed.
We were there at The Beverly Theater the night they got signed !
Those were some great times 🤘

One of the very best “hair metal“ tunes. #gire
This sounds why better than the album version
This was on an officially released EP. CD, cassette ,vinyl, etc.
Saw em on Invasion tour, '85...helluva show!

Just like Robbin said "this is the REAL Ratt", metal as fuck, not corporate bullshit

That guitar solo deserved some reverb to really let the notes just ring out.
I have this ep on vinyl and always liked this version better too except for the random bass farts. lol
mdrinkwine2000 bass farts lmao
Lmfao
mdrinkwine2000 in some parts it almost sounds like there are two bass guitars playing... Overdub? I agree about those random jazzy funk notes lol.
This comment still has me rolling. I can only hear them now
@@robbiestewart89 That version sounds good
Party metal 🎉🎉 83 this ep shout at the devil and you can't stop rock n roll drugs booze chicks..ah to be young again 🍻
verse is very funky
Back for more... máster piece, Robin and Warren genios
Monster cut !!
Gorgeous
Like this version much better than OOTC version, RAW!
strongly agree
In terms of sound quality the album version is way better but I like the guitar tone more on this
This is definitely my favorite version of this song.
Robbin Crosby on all Acustic guitar on this version and outro solo
Lol that pop funky verse that goes into heavy duty rock.. great song
what a tune....
sounds so perfect, the sound, so rough, but didnt cross the line
This is the version our RATT tribute does
I'd love to re-mix this thicken the guitars bring them up a bit more but of course at the same time keepin Jaun;s face punching pops perfectly intact!
He’s reissuing the EP this year and I think he said he’s doing a remaster
Ratt rules forever!!!
Great !!!
Why didn't they keep this version its so much better!
Agree
happy i always liked good music
Wow the base is popin in this version, in a great way...
still got this on original label in plastic
I have the EP too but the version on it is 4:45, little shorter intro.

Who else listens all the way to the very, very, last drop?
this version is way better then the out of the cellar version.i prefer this tbe best...
Are those Tawny Kittaens stems on the cover????
Yep
Cleaner than Motley and Def Lep’s first albums.
The original version of Too fast for love by the crue is SOOO much better...
Thousand times better than motley Crue, def Leppard and Bonjovi
Do you have the whole EP? I can't find it anywhere. I used to own it on vinyl back in the day. I love this version more!
hello from 2024
And your back....well I'm gone....moving on.
This acoustic was lent to them from nikki sixx
Bad ass
🎵!!
Hey this is my song
The sound clarity suffers some, but this version STILL beats the major-label recording….the latter is just devoid of energy.
Interesting ... sounds like a descent demo.I hear why they got signed 👍🏻
Robbin was right, this sounds more like Ratt
Robbin plays most of the leads.just sayin...
He was a god. Mental health is a cold bitch.
My favorite RATT song of all time!!!
This version is better
Tawny's legs
This is best of the 2.
Warren DeMartini
Rawer. Bass fartz
Marissa brought me here
much better than OOTC version but the outro guitar solo is better in the OOTC
Warren DeMartini was like 17 on this
The intro is better
Love the bass Farts

first time hearing this version, i like it more, but the bass farts, little annoying.

Yea the great bass fart wars of 1984. I was in 7th grade. I remember this 😂
Definitely 🔥 Don’t Like This Version
The studio version is definitely better
Nowhere near as good as the Out of the Cellar version. Bass pops make no sense. Too slow. Still a great song and good for a demo but needed work.
This is not an official version. I think it's someone jammin' to it. This is terrible. You people are being mindless sycophants.
