The Fire Claimed The Lives of Two elderly People On the first floor and A man was hurt bad jumping from the third floor porch. He Later Passed. We are All very sad.

Thank you,Dizzy for all you do in getting these videos out so the public can see what our first responders have to go through.This tragic fire is an example of the selfless acts that these firefighters perform,even in extreme conditions to serve our public.These heros don't think twice during these emergencies but as a former firefighter, I know that when they get home,it all sinks in and they get thoughts that maybe they could have done more,even though they did all that they could.Firefighters,just like our police departments are prepared to put their own lives on the line every time they are called out.Yes, it's a chosen profession but it takes a dedicated heart of a special breed to serve our public in this way.My sincere condolences go out to the families of the three victims of this unfortunate tragity and a huge nod of appreciation to all involved with this exhausting effort.I only can wish that more of the public could actually know what a firefighter has to endure.As you have stated many times,Dizzy,they are heros.

I just read the statement from the Worcester court officer that stated all 3 of his family members perished in this fire. My heart sunk. Such a tragic event. I know there is nothing I could possibly say that would ease this families pain but I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers everyday. God bless you all. May their souls rest in peace. May God bless you with some sort of ease to the pain you feel. My heart breaks for you and your family. Udizzy although I think you do a amazing job with these videos I am also concerned for you. It takes a horrible mental and emotional toll to see such tragedy and loss all the time especially with loss of life involved. You are standing there watching it unfold right in front of your eyes.. There is no way its not effecting you in some way whether you realise it or not. Please Udizzy be aware of your mental and emotional health as well. This is alot for someone to deal with after seeing it first hand and you have unfortunately seen it way too many times. I just worry about you. If you ever need to vent or talk at all I'm here. I have a great listening ear. Sending lots of love and prayers. Stay safe and stay healthy.
I do This Because My heart leads Me To, and We are very proud to be able to show the Great work The WFD,WPD, WEMS does for us Everyday. The way I deal with is is Giving Back. In anyway we can. showing video, shoving Hydrants, Making Banners and Just showing up to the Fire houses with Coffee and Donuts.. The Pain is Felt By all. and We share With this Family our Prayers. I watch the videos of you giving back to your community. The Santa rides, shoveling out hydrants , going to the different fire stations to bring donuts, coffee or whatever just to show your appreciation for what they do and the list goes on and I know you do much more off camera. You and your wife have hearts if gold.

Great footage! So odd that the fire seems to have largely bypassed the second floor and went from the first to the third floor. They also did a great job protecting the side exposure which is another wooden firetrap house.

Amazing how fast things can change with them old 3 deckers going from 2nd alarm companies staging to striking a fifth alarm later amazing work by these guys again just hours after the williams street fire and sadly this one was fatal. Stay safe and warm dizzy

Those houses were built long before modern fire stops were mandated. The type of construction in these houses is called “balloon construction”. Once the fire gets into the walls, it has a straight access to the attic or cockloft. These spaces act like chimneys for heat & fire to move freely inside the voids of the building. Hence why small fires become raging infernos in no time at all.
It is so sad that lives are too often lost in conditions such as these, Prayers for all the departments who work so tirelessly and for you for documenting.

those buildings terrify me. I remember 4 stories and rotten porches way back in the 70s I was a kid.. we got scolded to not walk on them. My grandpa and great grandpa died at the same time in a fire like this. no escape. that was in boston, 1961.

I was near I was in the Conor of the streets and my hart just broke and I’m crying and I see a girl get out of her car crying and there were kids screaming and there was people leaving the street this was very hard for me to watch
And the fire would not stop it took them a hour to deal with this I’m so sad
There used to be candles and balloons but they took it down and abandoned it is all bored up and there sighs that say no trespassing and I saw a light that was on when I was going to get gerosery
And people are saying that this fire is deadly 😖😭

It seemed like they would spray an area for quite a while and it would go out, but would flare up again badly after moving the water from it. What would cause that?

I don't get it at all, they keep saying 11 Jaques that is the Adams house, but you where up on the back of 11 jaques and I don't see any damages, now 13 jaques looks like arson, I am sorry but it looks like someone set 13 jaques back porch. Well Cbs cleared up what was what. I looks that 13 jaques was that adams family home and it looks like it was 13 not 11 that started the fire. By the looks of the building and fire , It looks like the 13 Jaques was intentionally set by someone.

There may be a new phenomenon at work here.
Smoking back in the days when these houses were built? The smoking material was extinguished in a safe manner. Today with the health impacts of smoking? Many people smoke on their decks. Many still don’t use proper means to extinguish their butts. They may discard them in an unsafe manner? I know this from a person losing their son in a fire caused by a discarded lit cigarette.
