    How do you not have the gear not slipping?

      Hello. We don’t know why it is not working for so many people. We ran it multiple times like this to record the video and didn’t have a problem.
      Are you sure your mission model is built correctly and works as intended?
      Are you stopping the robot at the right distance in front of the mission model?
      Are you using the right speed for moving the arm down (fast=speed; slow=torque)?
      Is your robot and attachment built to have the gears meshing correctly?
      Could you modify your attachment with a taller gear ratio to transmit more torque?
      If this all does not help, there is another solution with a static or passive attachment which looks like an upside down ramp. With that attached to the front of the robot, you could just drive into the mission model and activate it.

      @@ashcool123 You can change the speed of individual or multiple motors by using the “(A) set speed to (50)%” change the (A) to any motor port you want to change and set the (50) to any speed percentage (between 0 and 100) you want. The speed for that motor will stay at the selected percentage until you change it to something else.

      @@ashcool123 The number of rotations determines how many rotations the selected motor spins. Since attachment arms are usually limited in their movement by the gear ratios used in the attachment and physical movement, we tend to to use “degrees” from the dropdown rather than “rotations”. Only for the “Movement” blocks to drive the robot do we use rotations to travel certain distances by specifying the number of motor=wheel rotations.
      Using degrees for attachment movement gives you finer control over the attachment (as 1 rotation = 360 degrees).

    • @6006TechWarriors
      @6006TechWarriors  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello,
      The build instructions for the Spike Prime Advanced Driving Base (ADB) are included with the Spike App for programming the robot.
      Just go the the “Home” window, scroll down and click on “Building Instructions”. In that window there are instructions for “Advanced Driving Base Parts”, “Advanced Driving Base Assembly” and (a lot further down) “Tools”. Build the parts first, then use them to build the assembly. In “Tools” you will find instructions for the base versions of the “Lift Arm” and “Dozer Blade”. You might have to experiment and change the length of the lift arm attachment to have it at the correct height.

    hi, what to do if the lift arm is not strong enough to fully push the lever down?

    • @6006TechWarriors
      @6006TechWarriors  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Have you tried running the arm down at different speeds? Sometimes that helps. If you are still having trouble with it, you could build a so called static attachment from angled beams like an up angled ramp and just run into the lever. ⚙️⚙️

    Can I use your robot design by any chance?

    • @6006TechWarriors
      @6006TechWarriors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello. Fortunately for you the Spike Prime advanced driving base instructions are included in the Spike App that you use on your computer to create the programs. When you are on the “Home” screen there will be an area with “building instructions” once you click that, all instructions included with the Spike Prime kit will be available. You will need “Advanced Driving Base Parts” and “Advanced Driving Base Assembly” and probably “Tools” (further down in the list).
      We chose to use this version of the robot so that rookie teams could easily replicate our solutions. Feel free to modify the attachments to your needs to make them work better.
      Good luck.

      @@ashcool123 if you build attachments that can activate the mission models correctly, yes it will be able to do all the mission models. In order to complete them all within the 2:30min match time, you will have to get creative and develop attachments that can multitask and do multiple missions in a single run, then, back at either home area, change to other attachments and do some more. Good luck this season.

      @@ashcool123 Hello again. We have given up on line-following when the lines on the mat started to have weird bends and interruptions in it and concentrated on using the gyro sensor, which seems to serve us pretty well.

      @@ashcool123 Yes, we usually run the attachment motors by degrees. We modified the quick attachments to be easier to remove with the trade off of the gears slipping when the attachment struggles. This could be fixed with introducing the securing pins in the front or side of the quick attachment frame as suggested in the build instructions.

      Hi, I see your doing a different action for the 1st soft press and then a depress and drag for changing scene twice. How r u doing the changing scene depressing hard- is it only rotating by degrees or rotating and moving back as you do so? We are not able to press hard enough, sometimes scene doesn't change. Also, do we even need to a soft press at first? Can we not directly do 2 hard press to drop flag and change scene twice?
