Touhou is like Skittles, each are delicious and has their own outstanding taste to enjoy for specific tasters. But in the end, they're all delicious :: After 2 years, I've come to realise that LoLK has some of the best stage themes ever! My point still, counts! It has different tastes to it, but I LOVE THEM ALL.
One of my favorites, I don't care what people said, LoLK has alot of really good tracks so far, even it's different than the older ones. I'd say this is one of ZUN's best pieces so far.

yeah thats what I thought with MoF I felt SWR was weak and that he would never top the previous and then he releases subterranean animism and so on it happened again later lol he invest more in the music than the actual game
The stage themes are so incredibly good in this game. They're atmospheric, melodic, and fantastical all at once. Really makes you feel like you're in space. You can tell ZUN spent as much love and attention on the stage themes as on the character themes.

I like IN but I don’t listen to it much as I should but I do like MoF and this, but my absolute favorites are most likely HSiFS, DDC, TD, EoSD, PCB, or SA. Maybe HM and ULiL.

There's this undercurrent of wonder to the entire OST, but there's also this uneasy grimness, this kind of sombre finality that settles you into grim determination and say "Okay, let's do this". Tonally sombre and climactic melodies/sounds usually reserved for like Stage 5/6 are thrown at you as early as Stage 1, and this game's *actual* Stage 5/6 is at this level of insanely serious gravitas basically unheard of in a Touhou game up to this point. Sure, other games have had individually serious songs or sections of songs (i.e. Fires of Houkai, Hellfire Mantle, Extend Ash, Kobito of the Shining Needle etc.), but that tone has never cut through an entire *game* before. Listening to this OST, watching the tone and intensity build up to Stage 6 and then **the** final boss theme...yeah, I definitely like this one the most.
You never even got past the download screen? Jeez. As for being memorable songs... that kinda depends on your memory now, doesn't it? Because there are plenty of songs I come back to here over some others in the franchise. Whether or not you like them doesn't mean they are bad. These soundtracks are all great. Whether or not we as individuals like, dislike or prefer over another is nothing more than personal opinion. Don't consider opinion as fact.
Best stage theme: Faraway 380,000-Kilometer Voyage Best boss theme: Pure Furies ~ Whereabouts of the Heart (and this is probably the best boss theme in the whole franchise)
I always find it hype when I can sync up the ZUNpets in “The Lake Reflects the Purified Moonlight” with Ringo’s first retreat, so that gives it a ton of points with me. And as for boss themes, The Reversed Wheel of Fortune is really growing on me, actually. I definitely didn’t give it as much credit as I should have at first.

I think if it wasn't for this OST I wouldn't grind LoLK as much as I'm currently doing. Haven't had this much fun trying to get a 1cc since SA some couple of years ago. The game has slowly climbed his way up to my top 3 favourite mainline games and I haven't even seen the Extra stage yet.
Fucking love this game’s soundtrack, rivals SA for me definitely. It’s just too bad that this game is the only Touhou to filter me completely. Point device especially just stopped being fun to play through.
