    37:20 Note to self: 1. Buddhist Enlightenment is gained through meditation & self-inquiry. Once enlightenment is gained, bondage is extinguished.
    In contrast, Vedanta philosophy: Enlightenment is ever present (already here), but veiled by ignorance/illusion (Maya). We were never in bondage, we falsely attributed our Being to illusory objects and events. Realization & removal of ignorance reveals enlightenment.

    - once one give up all desires.. one can realise oneself as brahman,, why is this? swami explains wonderfully regarding the happiness and human search for it.. we keep on searching for it in a zillion different ways but however whenever we try to search for it.. it is always limited.. because we in the body are limited.. but what we are searching for is the unlimited bliss which by definition should exist everywhere and everytime and everyplace.. and all of this exercise by vedas is to remove the ignorance and show us the unlimited bliss.. effortless bliss which is our nature.. that's why desires (kama) are by definition anti-thesis of what we are trying to achieve. also shankara says what are you even desiring? everything is you.. what are you desiring and why are you.. it doesn't make anysense does it...avidya kama karma.

    Thank you for guiding us. May I ask a question? Why is Yama, lord of death the teacher?

    • @1oscarbravo
      @1oscarbravo ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Several reasons.
      1. Nachiketas's father curses his son, saying: "You can go to hell!" And Yama is the lord of that domain.
      2. Nachiketas's question is: "What happens to the purusha after death?" Who better to answer than Yama?
      3. Yama is an enlightened being of very high discernment, gibn that he has ascended to the role of apportioning karmic merits or demerits appropriately. Such a wise being is eminently suited to teaching the highest mysteries.

    Those who are enlightened will go no where. Does it mean that Avatar descend from Bramhaloka out of compassion? Or Avatars are of different kind and these rules don't apply to them. How to understand statements like Ramakrishna is still here and guiding hundred of thousands devotees. How to explain it? Thankyou.
