Batten down the hatches and get those winter woolies and thermal underwear ready!!! Thank you to all the weather peeps at the Met Office for doing these forecasts and deep dives and Happy New Year everyone!!!
Thanks Alex . I look fwd to the cold and sunny stuff then later this week. Kent has been misty, murky, mild, mainly dry and completely Gloomy for far too long....Very Happy New Year to You 🎉 and all the team at Met Office 😊
Hello Met Office UK. Season's Greetings and Best Wishes for 2025 to our neighbours throughout the UK. I watch you regularly from Galway City in the West of Ireland. Give us a shout if you can. Bye
I miss the days of deep snowfall 😢as a child living in the north , now In the south winter is mild and doesn’t really feel like true winter I’m disenchanted.
@@redwing3969 Yes, which is very sad. I've been in Edinburgh for Hogmanay many years ago, it was awesome. Very controversial decision, I'd say, as the wind gusts aren't forecast to be that extreme at all - I'd understand if it was gusting over 55mph frequently, but the forecast has gusts below 50mph. There's been many a time the market in my town has gone ahead in those kinds of wind gusts - and the market stalls have weathered it just fine.
Where's is this snow that we were supposed to be getting. This is what gets me mad you keep changing the forecast each day and I'm getting fed up with it now.
Dont get hooked in by the extreme headlines you see in the news, they rarely reflect reality. The Met Office do a great job of explaining the chances of certain weather. Maybe check out some of their deep dives if you're interested to learn
Bloody low pressure areas being less intense and in a different place than models predicted yesterday. For several days the on line forecasts have been saying how we were on a knife edge of either a rain or snow event . Don’t worry, plenty cold weather coming and likely at least one snow event will hit the UK in next 10 days.
Funny how the region of Yorkshire just misses the more colder/snowy conditions. I like the snow, it keeps avoiding us! lol
Keeps missing the south east too and I love snow coming from the north originally! 😂
Me too. Wish we would get it.
While as an outdoors person I agree, but as a community staff nurse who works in the remoter areas of the region I’m quite happy 😊 happy new year 🎉🌞🌀
I love snow! Hopefully it will reach us all eventually! Happy new year! 😂
Thank you, Alex
Thanks for a long and detailed forecast.
A happy new year to all the team.
Thank You Alex⛄⛄⛄
Ooooh wet and windy and cold and frosty and some sun!!
Thanks Alex! Happy New Year Everyone!
Loved those fireworks hahaha 🎊
Happy New Year to everyone at the Met Office, thank you for all your hard work❤🎉

Would rather have it cold and sunny than wet and windy.

The washing that I hung out today on the line dried very well today in Suffolk.
Thanks Alex! And the wild birds will need our help!
Happy New Year🎉
Thankyou for your update. Useful information.
Excellent delivery, as ever 😊 thanks Alex 👍🏻☺️🌀
That's actually a very organised, intense squall line being shown during Wednesdays weather front south, one to keep an eye on.
Many thanks!!❤️
Roofers in Northern Ireland must walk around with a permanent grin...
I liked the whimsy of the fireworks 🎆

Some giant explosions in the sky to look out for too 😬 - thanks Alex!

Appalling graphics and too many sub standard weather stations.Met Office need to get there act together. HNY
Nah, they're just fine and the GFX is fine.
How depressing
Not if you’re a duck 🦆 ❤
Give me warm and gloomy any day of the week. Winter sun sucks.
And yet ,we live a water stressed country lol.

@Paranormalcoffeelounge no it isn't it's hasn't snowed in Leeds for 75 years.

Whats fn new 😂😂😂
The graphics in this video are terrible. we do not need simulated fireworks from the met office. We just need accurate data.
Normal then!
It's nothing new for the uk. It rains constantly.
Thanks Alex! Happy New Year!
