It's honestly blowing my mind how many choreographers I know and admire work with BTS. I had to pause the first video you did when you mentioned Keone and Mari because I've been following them for years and had no idea they did the choreo for so many groups.

Yeah the choreographers they have are incredible. But also, I just realized how incredible of an interpreter Jimin is. Watch at 4:32 how the guide dancer is very technically good, but strong/stiff. And see how Jimin interpreted and "refined" the choreography to fit his style and the song better. Art is all about collaboration and inspiration!

I first fell in love with how Jimin danced to Seredipity at their Wembley concert. I was so amazed that I was hooked. It is so unique a dance as interpreted by the slick moves of Jimin as well. Kudos to the choreographers, Brian Puspos and Ria Hata. Idol was the first BTS group dance that I was so impressed. This series is great - super informative and well-formatted! (I loved the Madrids on SYTYCD, I had no idea they worked with BTS!) I have a question (and sorry if this isn't the appropriate venue) but you seem really knowledgeable about BTS' choreographies and I haven't been able to google up an answer myself: do you know if parts of Jungkook's Begin are meant to reference other BTS choreos/members? I just watched it recently and there's a few parts that look familiar: [referencing "170324 THE WINGS BEGIN / 정국 직캠 JUNGKOOK FOCUS" here on youtube] 1:21 in it looks like a strong man pose (both fists up), then Suga's 90 degree hand dance thing (not sure what it's called lol), followed by the 'cooking' portion of Fire 1:40 the locking might be J-hope? 1:50 at a stretch, Jin's traffic dance 2:40 the guitar bit from Butterfly 2:55 the crossing wave above the head from Jimin's Lie I could totally be reading too far into it but the part that looks like Suga seemed very distinct to me when I was first watching Begin, and because the theme is how Jungkook has changed since meeting the other BTS members I figure it's possible the choreo could be explicitly referencing them. Anyway, it'd be cool to hear your thoughts! And thanks for these videos.
hi! thank you so much for watching my videos ☺️ to answer your question, no information has been released about who choreographed begin :( but! knowing the creative direction bts always takes, it would make sense that when they were designed the choreo, they would want to incorporate that idea to follow the message of the song. looking specifically, suga's part & the cooking Fire part are actually quite similar in my opinion! the other ones could be interpreted as such too. my guess is that when making this dance they wanted to include a variety of dance styles & moves to reference how he has been influenced by his members, and likely some old moves were discussed and likely influenced some of the choreo. but for now it will remain a mystery :')
Brian Puspos was once mentioned by JK in BTS Festa as Jimin’s favorite dancer. Imo, with Jimin’s dancing background in contemporary dancing is pretty suitable with his dance style. Jimin presence the dance with his sexiness. It makes him stands out.
