For real. I never even thought about it, but as they went on and on about how Aether's limits, it was great to have an explanation of what that extra something is.
It's been a thing since Omega as far as overt plot points go. But people don't remember Maggie the Magitek Armor, who we overloaded, we fried that mech. But it broke its limits to rescue us at the end of Praetorium!
I think only one other Raid boss goes into things like that back in Heavensward in the Weeping city I forget her name but when you survive her I believe it was called "Dancing Mad" ultimate she said something to the degree of "You...live?!? What infernal power flows through you?!?".
@@Dark2857 To be fair, also from Heavensward, we survive a blast of Knights of the Round from King Thordan and he pulls the same confusion. To many this is just chalked up at being the Warrior of Light, after all, you're high potential even before Shadowbringers and regaining Aldbert's facet of yourself.
I didn’t notice until today that part of her hair and wings have changed blue in the second phase. It’s like part of her wants to feel hope, but going millennia knowing only despair has tarnished that feeling.
Technically they're present in the first phase as well, during the enrage ability you can see a good shot of the blue on the wings. But because she's wallowing in the darkness between the stars, it only adds to the fact she's buried that hope so far inside. Still a great sign that the old Metion's still in there and far more obvious on the Phase 2.
I was as hyped as I could be when I heard the "Song of Hope" start playing at the end of the fight as we became empowered, when that trailer came out I had no idea it would play such a role in the final trial, on another note part of me just wanted to hug/kiss the Endsinger rather then fight her show her that there was another way, alas I suppose it was for the best, on another note I think it would be neat if Shinryu/Zenos will be featured in the Extreme version of this, literally cannot wait!
I love that they even explained what Limit Breaks were in this fight.

Limit Breaks have been confirmed to not be Aether in the omega raids but until Endwalker we didn't really know *what* they are

I never knew how pretty the background was because I was too busy trying not to die
