I think the reason for the audio quality of "Gramophone waltz" is a little strange is.. because it's supposed to be a gramophone waltz? But that's just my guess. Either way, even though it's not perfectly clear, I think it brings an unusual touch to it. Btw, I absolutely love this playlist!

Pov! (This is my first time writing one, sorry if there are errors XD) G/N reader x Neuvillette The ballroom was filled with a sort of ethereal and wonderful atmosphere. There was an orchestra playing emotional music on the stage. The lights, mostly sourced from burning candles, were dim enough so that the moon could still shine its blue-tinted light into the warmly colored room. The contrast in cold to warm gave the space more depth than what was conventional for this building. The red curtains were pulled back, allowing the stars to shine gently through the normally draped windows. Couples were dancing in the middle of the space, while others were eating together and enjoying each other’s presence. Everyone was excited at the rare occasion of a ball at the Opera Epiclese, where trials were normally held instead. It was a surprising yet thrilling experience. The scent of flowers and cake filled your nose as you wandered around the room, greeting familiar faces and sharing words before you moved on. It almost made you nervous; this was where so many sentences had been given and so many life-changing declarations had been made… you’d watched a few drama-filled court cases throughout your lifetime, and the purely joyful emotion of the room was a large contrast from your previous visits. However, the uneasiness faded with every person you talked to. Even Furina was at the ball… Although, you supposed that wasn’t too unexpected. A ball didn’t fall outside of her sense of fun, you thought. She was looking down from her throne at the crowd, wearing an expression that was somehow both mysterious and mischievous at the same time. However, she wasn’t the one you were looking for. You weren’t the type to spend a huge amount of money on a ballroom ticket and hadn’t initially been planning to go. However, someone you’d grown familiar with throughout the recent months had invited you to the Opera House. His name was known to all, and yet he somehow managed to be even more elusive and mysterious than Furina herself. In fact, it still surprised you that you had somehow managed to meet with the Ludex of Fontaine not just once, but multiple times. Monsieur Neuvillette was an individual who often caught you off guard when you were wandering around the City at night or walking on the cliffs beside the ocean. To be truthful, his appearances became often enough that you guessed that he must have figured out your schedule to the point where he could predict where you would be at certain times. But sometimes, it would be you finding him somewhere lonely while it rained, but when you succeeded in getting his mind off of whatever he was worrying about, miraculously, the rain would stop. You weren’t a fool; you knew this couldn’t be a coincidence after this happened multiple times. But you let him keep it a mystery, like many other things about him. And finally, you saw him. Or rather, he found you. “Y/n,” he greeted. You smiled. “Monsieur Neuvillette,” you reply. “You can drop the formalities. You do know you can address me by my surname, just Neuvilette?” You tilt your head. “But this is the Opera House… wouldn’t it be impolite…? “Do not worry about that. You are my guest, after all.” Neuvillette offers you his hand, giving you the slightest of smiles and tilting his head towards the middle of the room. Eyes widening, you reluctantly take it, and he leads you to the center. People started to stop what they were doing to stare at you and Neuvillette as you started to dance. His one hand found your hip, the other guiding your hand outwards and swaying to the orchestra’s music. Some even looked at you in jealousy, but you couldn’t take your eyes off of the beautiful man in front of you. “How have you been?” You asked. “I noticed... it was raining earlier.” Your tone took on a worried note. Neuvillette sighed. “It has been a busy day, however, I have been anticipating seeing you for the last few days with excitement.” Your cheeks warm up slightly. “You… were waiting for me?” “Of course. I consider you a friend…” he cleared his throat, looking away, and you couldn’t help but notice his usually pale face had gotten a slightly pinker shade. When he looks back at you, he’s smiling, almost shyly. “You look wonderful tonight.” You blush, and he raises his arm to twirl you around. You couldn’t help but laugh, making him smile even more. “Thank you, Neuvillette. So do you,” you responded, gesturing to his outfit: an elaborate suit filled with shades of blues and greens and silvers on top of black. The two of you continued your conversation for the next few minutes, and people continued to stare. After a stretch, you couldn’t help but look around and whisper awkwardly, “Everyone’s looking at us…!” Neuvillette leaned you back for a moment, raising an eyebrow before pulling you back up and continuing. “Nervous?” He asked, and gave a quiet laugh when he saw you blush. “Come.” He guided you out of the Opera Epiclese to where the fountains were calmly dancing beneath the stars, in sync with the orchestra within the building. There, the two of you continued, but this time the entire courtyard was reserved only for you. After a while, both of you sat down in silence next to the central fountain. Once a minute had passed, Neuvillette broke the silence. “My apologies… for all the cases I’ve overseen, and for all the meetings and gatherings I’ve attended, I don't know…” He cleared his throat. “I do not wish to make you feel awkward, y/n.” You looked at him and smiled softly. “I don’t feel awkward, Neuvillette,” you assured him quietly. He tilted his head silently, thinking. Then after a moment, he raised his hands in a graceful motion, swirling them in the air, and then, a ball of pure water rose from the fountain. You gasped. “Neuvillette…!” He smiled silently, tilting his hands towards the ball, and it hovered in the air and started towards the two of you. It was no larger than a soccer ball. With a flick of his fingers, it divided into two dolphins, swimming around you and then circling him. “Y/n,” he murmured. “I’ve waited so long for this night. I hope it meets your expectations.” Your eyes widened. “It already has,” you said, moving a little closer toward the Ludex. “This has been so nice, and-” You gasped as the dolphins collided, and the water clashed and became a hundred different droplets, circling the two of you. None of them ever touched you, but they glittered in the moonlight. “Wow,” is all you could breathe, watching as his control over each droplet never wavered. But it all seemed more than easy for him, and he did it without showing any sign of concentration or strain, all of his attention on you. “Thank you. So much, for inviting me.” He smiled then. “Of course. As I said, I really do enjoy your presence. And, I hope you enjoy mine too?” “How could I not?” You smiled. “I consider you a friend, too, Neuvillette.” And, for the rest of the night, the two of you spend time together, staring at the stars and telling each other stories of the past and talking about the future. Even if one knew nothing about Fontanian ballroom dancing, Monsieur Neuvillette would probably try to teach you how, guide you patiently, and do his utter best to make you feel welcome at the party. I truly believe this about his character.
You forget that in beginning you're in carriage then you walking in the big stairs to walk up to the the gates of enterance and then the two gurad open for you to enter the ballroom and it fill with ppl.
The ballroom was decorated in grand silks and velvet, with ornate chandeliers and marble floors. The air was filled with the scent of roses and the chatter of guests along with a few cheers with lyney's magic show occurring nearby. The two of you moved in perfect harmony, your eyes locked on each other. The moment was beautiful and mesmerizing. it was a flawless dance, as if you were made for each other. your movements were synchronized, your steps practiced and deliberate. The sound of the piano was a gentle yet steady rhythm, setting the pace for your feet. you twirled and spun; your bodies pressed together in a close embrace. the world slowly went back to its original pace as the music died down, and the sounds of the applause were no more. the couples leaving the dance floor and you and the uidex of fontaine exchanged bittersweet goodbyes. the laughter of the hydro archon could be faintly heard as small words of teasing were made towards neuvillette and his newfound interest in you... ꒰ᐢ. .ᐢ꒱ i tried-

This is great work! For 32 minutes I felt all the beauty that was here. An orchestra, magnificent outfits, somewhere in the distance Lini is performing tricks, Furina showers herself and the others with compliments. We accepted the invitation from Neuvillette. Later we meet with Clorinda and Risley. Then Neuvillette and I go out to get some fresh air and talk about life, our goals and dreams. After a long conversation, we say goodbye and go to our rooms.
The acoustics in the grand ballroom were simply magical. The way the music echoed and vibrated through the air, along with people chatting and dancing added an amazing atmosphere. The Chief of Justice, Monsieur Neuvillette, was among some of the prestigious guests, but he didn't dance. He simply had no desire to. That was until he saw *you.* The way you seemed to float along to the music, your steps perfectly coordinated. However, since it wasn't usual for you to attend balls of this magnitude, you decided to hide your face with a Renaissance style mask tied around your head. The violins played, and time seemed to stand still when you felt your hand taken, and a pair of eyes weighed heavy on your silhouette. Could it be? It was. "May I have this dance?"

His gaze pulls her in like a snake luring its prey. She finds herself swaying in his arms before she can stop herself. Whispers and murmurs drown out the sweet melodies of the orchestra echoing throughout the ballroom. He draws her closer, placing a gentle kiss on the lobe of her ear that’s now stained red. “Focus on me, mon chéri, only me." She closes her eyes; her heartbeat is now in sync with his. She felt like she was floating. She held him closer, not wanting the moment to end. The rhythm of the music shifted, and her body dipped again and again until it flew all together. She opened her eyes and found herself hoisted inches above his head. She smiled and whispered, “One more second," but no matter how she wanted his gaze on her, she knew it would never be hers. Cheers and applause erupted when the music was lowered. Letting go of his hand, her feet hit the floor, and so did her heart when he smiled back at her. The dance was over. Their dance was over. He took her in once more, his eyes twinkling under the chandelier’s glistening diamonds. “My Prince," she bowed, the words stinging as they left her twitching lips. His smile was no longer there. His gaze was as cold as the day she first met him. This was his goodbye to her.

Here's my pov~ hope you guys enjoyed! It's kinda rushed, but yt will only allow so much pfft- - - There was an announcement of a masquerade party to be held in the court. Seems there was currently a criminal going around and pick pocketing people, this party was used to hopefully catch the criminal. You walked up the stairs that led up to the court, ur dress slightly dragging along the concrete stairs. You wore a dress that went down to ur ankles, a cape that dragged on the ground as you walked. You're heels clicking against the concrete, you're hair up nicely, makeup and a mask that covered half of your face. It was night, partially cloudy outside, the moon peeking through a few clouds. Opening the doors, you were met with excitement. People standing in the room, their outfits looking rather exquisite as masks covered most of their face. It was kinda hard to see who was who- however furina was easy to spot because of her laugh. Lyney in the background on the stage performing, seeing his passionate smile made you smile, he definitely loved what he does. Entering the room, it seemed as a walkway was made for you, you're eyes on the surrounding area. A few hairs falling to your shoulders, your eyes skimming the surrounding area for anyone suspicious. But your thoughts were soon interrupted. "Ah- you have arrived" a familiar deep voice with a tone of elegance, neuvillette. You’re gaze shifted to meet eyes with him, you watched as his eyes wandered to admire your dress. "Just on time as well, welcome!" his expression looking firm as always, although his tone was kind and soft. You nodded, a gentle smile playing on your lips. "Has there been any clues?" you asked, seems the first thing you thought of was catching the criminal. Neuvillette turned his attention to you, "No reports yet..." as he spoke, his eyes scanned the surrounding area. As the night went on, it seemed rather peaceful, would the criminal actually show up? This would be the best hunting ground to pick pocket. You were speaking with wrio and Neuvillette, holding a glass of wine as the three of you conversed. That was until something had caught wrio's eye. Following his gaze, you glanced over to watch a criminal at work. Pick pocketing a lady that was with a group, how did they not notice? You glanced over at Neuvillette, who seemed to have already known what you just saw. Then the both of you handed wrio you're glasses, then began to walk towards the criminal, however the two of you were stopped in you're tracks as dancing couples blocked the path. That was when the both of you looked at one another, then nodded. Behind the both of you stood a very confused wrio holding three glasses of wine. He blinked, "hey uh-!" it was no use. Neuvillette turned to face you, "i have an idea- may i have this dance?" he held his hand out as he slightly bowed, his other hand behind his back. You're eyes met, which made you slightly blush, then you smiled and placed you're hand on his. The two of you beginning to dance along with the music. Following the moves of the surrounding couples, while keeping an eye on the criminal. Performing an elegant dance, neuvillette suprised you when he had spun you. A gentle smile grew on his lips as the two of you danced, neuvillette leading. Upon getting closer to the pickpocketer, neuvillette spun you around so you could get a better look at them. Seeing that they were making their way to the balcony. You looked at neuvillette and raised your eyebrows, he caught on immediately. The two of you now beginning to dance towards the balcony where no one was. You watched as the criminal went to the balcony, they looked back, slightly moving their mask to the side, suppose they wanted to get a better look to make sure they weren't caught. Little did they know, the cheif justice himself was on their case. Upon reaching the balcony, the two of you pretended not to notice the criminal. Neuvillette made you face sway from them, as he had his eyes on you, he was actually looking past you to get a good look at the criminal, which their imagine was now buried in his mind. You heard something behind you, looking back you saw as the criminal escape, you were about to say something but we're cut off. You looked back up to see neuvillette and wrio were on the same page already, wrio quickly following behind the theif. Some relief washed off you, that criminal definitely wasn't getting away now. "Well now...that should be taken care of- they shall he judged tomorrow" neuvillette said, breathing the silence between you two. His eyes on you, he gently smiled. Seeing as the moonlight complimented you're skin. "At least that case is closed now" You said, smiling up at him. He let out a small huff and he nodded. "Indeed- well now, we should take this as a moment to relax-" neuvillette added. Walking to the edge of the balcony as he looked out at the scenery. "We did such a good job tonight!" you said, smiling with anticipation. "Although i must say...dancing with you was rather enjoyable- you really are a good dancer" Nevillette returned his gaze to you, he looked down at you and subtly nodded. "I would have to say you're quite the dancer yourself-" his eyes fixated on you, You watched as his eyes surveyed across you're face. After a long silence, you spoke up. "What is it?" you asked, curious. Neuvillette gently placed his hand on you're chin, he slightly bent down to be eye contact with you. "Pardon me for being bold- but the moonlight really does compliment your pretty face..." This sudden change of topics made you blush, you slightly flinched at his bold words. But you we're happy to hear these words, you gently smiled."thank you...tho must i add, you look rather handsome no matter what" Silence grew over the two of you, you started to feel a tad awkward. You slightly began to nibble on you're lip, which was interrupted by neuvillette running his thumb along your bottom lip. You stopped you studied his facial expression- it was hard to read what he was feeling. Some More silence, but you watched as his lips slightly parted before he spoke." may i be bold and ask if it would be alright if i kissed you?" his eyes moved up to meet yours. But then in bliss, you're hands slowly running up his chest to wrap around his neck. Raising his head, he only left a few inches between the two of you. "Is this what humans say is...love?" he blinked. Afterwards, you felt his arm snake to wrap around your waist, while his other hand grabbed yours. "May i ask for a proper dance?" Once you nodded in approval, neuvillette began leading the way as the two of you danced on the balcony in an elegant manner. His eyes fixated on you as you smiled having fun, spinning as you held you're arms up, which returned to their previous position. The two of you danced until the song was over, seems the both of you had new found feelings. The night slowly went by, the party was rather successful, especially since the theif was now behind bars..
Winter, the season of silver snow dancing along the wind currents-- their symphony unheard by all but them as they slowly descend upon the ground covering it in a blanket of white upon the world, the end of their melody. The sun hidden by the gentle snow crying clouds unable to shine its light down and its warmth to all, laid under the leafless trees replaced by elegant crystals formed from dripping water freezing, were two figures embraced in a soundless rhythm only they could hear. Their jointed hands laid in one another gently, body swaying to a seamless symphony, feet engaged in a dance as effortless as their breaths mingled with one another, hearts as one, mind as two seeking one another. Their gazes entranced in one another, as if they couldn't bare to look away-- in fear the other would disappear within the endless storm, viciously seething around them in envy, for as eternal and inevitable as winter is, it will never have what they attained, will never share this same warmth with another, for how great could power be if you have nothing to protect. A thousand words exchanged with each paired feet moving together, words one shouldn't speak are spoken, oaths are made, the two have come too far for mere words to have any more value. Perhaps in a millennia, when the world has frozen over into a cold desserted waste land, may all that stand is the statue of two lovers dancing encased in thick layers of snow and ice-- and within this cold cage, should their warming intimacy and bond be seen and felt, even as the cold wind whips at them, even when it's ferocious winds gnaw at them, nothing will seperate these two lovers forever jointed together through mind, through body and through their exchanged hearts to one another. You walked around the floor, admiring all the colorful dresses of the women and handsome tuxes of the men, the high ceilings with the gentle crystal chandeliers hanging down, Lyney and Lynette performing their magic in a stage similar to one the musicians were playing on. Through all the glamor and glitz of the party though, there was one particular person you had an eye out for. You stopped for a moment to take the entire scene in when you saw him. Just a couple of feet ahead of you stood your date for the night, Neuvillette. He felt your gaze as you stared at him, and as soon as you two locked eyes, he started weaving between people to get to you. "Hello, Lady Y/N," he said, standing in front of you now. "Hello, Monsieur Neuvillette," You replied, smiling bashfully at the handsome man in front of you, looking somehow more dashing than normal. "You look beautiful tonight." Neuvillette complimented, taking his time to admire your outfit. You wore an off-shoulder sapphire-colored dress that gently hugged your figure and flowed down to the floor, giving the impression of a cascading waterfall, and a pair of white gloves that reached to your elbows. Both your hair and makeup simple yet elegant. You mumbled a soft thanks at his compliment. He smiled and chuckled, taking your hand in his. "So, shall we dance?" He asks, bringing you a little closer to his body. You nod, following behind Neuvillette as he walks you to where all the other couples are dancing. He turns to face you, putting the hand that wasn't holding yours on the side of your waist. "Are you ready?" Neuvillette asked. "Yes, but I must warn you that I'm not a very good dancer." You replied, laughing nervously. "Then I guess that means I'll have to put your skills to the test." He said. He led the dance. He was graceful, clearly experienced from the way he never glanced at his feet, keeping his eyes on you the whole time as you two waltzed across the floor and yet always knowing where to go next. Keeping up with the lively pace of the music. Never forcing you around, just guiding you through the dance. Adapting to whatever you did. Despite your earlier remarks, you were also good. You kept in sync with Neuvillette, following behind his footsteps as you two danced. It went on for the rest of the night, taking small breaks here and there to catch your breath or to socialize with the other partygoers. All of those times spent with Neuvillette at your side. Even though you were nervous about dancing with Neuvillette tonight, you were still having a fun time. Still, as the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end." and before you knew it, the musicians started to play the last songs of the night. You and Neuvillette were dancing again. This time, he lifted your hand up and twirled you while your dress billowed around you. "Tonight was wonderful, wasn't it?" Neuvillette questioned you after your twirl. You had just entered the beautiful venue, sighting your surroundings you had hoped to see the gentlemen, Monsieur Neuvillette. Until you felt a soft, cold hand touch your shoulder. You turned to see what it was, there he was, Neuvillette. Oh archons, he looked heavenly. The luminescence complimented his chiseled bones, his fair skin which paired beautifully with his deep sky-light eyes. It continued to droop down gracefully to his clothes. Clean, straightened garments that would fold in such an elegant way. "Y/N. I'm glad you could make it. May i?.." He spoke, holding out his hand, for you to take. What do you do? "Of course. Why would I miss a personal invitation from the Chief Justice himself?" You spoke. Holding his hand in resonation. He smiled softly - He kissed your hand, with his soft, and warm lips. He slowly guided you from the various crowds. Holding your hand tightly; He had not want to loose you. You both arrived at the center of the ball - coincidentally the light was then positioned at the both of you, focusing on your bodies. He put to a stop. He turned to you, with a straight face; yet with such a warm expression. Then moving his right hand to your side, with his left he had held your right. You on the other hand responded diligently, putting your right hand to his shoulder, and your other, holding his hand as well. He held you with a firm grip, yet with such tender, and care. You both started moving. The music bonded as well, the notes correlating with your movements. The folds of your clothes waved and spun slowly, it felt like time had stopped just for the both of you. You both danced carefully - You didn't know how to dance, yet, he guided you so well and subtly that it had seemed this was a performance choreography. You both twirled, spun, waltzed and twined. As the music came to its gradual ending, he held you tightly, then positioned himself closer to you - he had whispered into your ear for a quick moment.. "Please hold onto me tighter." His voice was deep, and soft. You complied. He then held onto your waist tighter, as he let your back fall, you thought you'd fall; Yet you didn't. He kept you in place in air, your faces were so close to each other. It made your heart skip a beat.. you felt his cold breath on your face, your heart was pounding. He advanced his face, inch by inch, closer to yours.. As the music had now reached its denouement. "may i have the honour of being your first dance of the night?"

The Duke spoke lightly, smiling slightly wider when his hand was taken, he took the first step, putting his hand on the chief's of justice waist, and in some minutes the eyes were all on them, as they danced together, not caring for nothing else but them and the music. With some time, they chatted some times during the musics, no one seemed to try to interfere, the image of them together was so beatiful and graceful, they movements smooth and fluid like water, their eyesfocused on one another maked it even better. The ballroom was filled with a sort of ethereal and wonderful atmosphere. There was an orchestra playing emotional music on the stage. The lights, mostly sourced from burning candles, were dim enough so that the moon could still shine its blue-tinted light into the warmly colored room. The contrast in cold to warm gave the space more depth than what was conventional for this building.
The red curtains were pulled back, allowing the stars to shine gently through the normally draped windows. Couples were dancing in the middle of the space, while others were eating together and enjoying each other’s presence. Everyone was excited at the rare occasion of a ball at the Opera Epiclese, where trials were normally held instead. It was a surprising yet thrilling experience.
The scent of flowers and cake filled your nose as you wandered around the room, greeting familiar faces and sharing words before you moved on. It almost made you nervous; this was where so many sentences had been given and so many life-changing declarations had been made… you’d watched a few drama-filled court cases throughout your lifetime, and the purely joyful emotion of the room was a large contrast from your previous visits. However, the uneasiness faded with every person you talked to.
Even Furina was at the ball… Although, you supposed that wasn’t too unexpected. A ball didn’t fall outside of her sense of fun, you thought. She was looking down from her throne at the crowd, wearing an expression that was somehow both mysterious and mischievous at the same time.
However, she wasn’t the one you were looking for. You weren’t the type to spend a huge amount of money on a ballroom ticket and hadn’t initially been planning to go. However, someone you’d grown familiar with throughout the recent months had invited you to the Opera House.
His name was known to all, and yet he somehow managed to be even more elusive and mysterious than Furina herself. In fact, it still surprised you that you had somehow managed to meet with the Ludex of Fontaine not just once, but multiple times.
Monsieur Neuvillette was an individual who often caught you off guard when you were wandering around the City at night or walking on the cliffs beside the ocean. To be truthful, his appearances became often enough that you guessed that he must have figured out your schedule to the point where he could predict where you would be at certain times.
But sometimes, it would be you finding him somewhere lonely while it rained, but when you succeeded in getting his mind off of whatever he was worrying about, miraculously, the rain would stop. You weren’t a fool; you knew this couldn’t be a coincidence after this happened multiple times. But you let him keep it a mystery, like many other things about him.
And finally, you saw him. Or rather, he found you. “Y/n,” he greeted.
You smiled. “Monsieur Neuvillette,” you reply.
“You can drop the formalities. You do know you can address me by my surname, just Neuvilette?”
You tilt your head. “But this is the Opera House… wouldn’t it be impolite…?
“Do not worry about that. You are my guest, after all.” Neuvillette offers you his hand, giving you the slightest of smiles and tilting his head towards the middle of the room. Eyes widening, you reluctantly take it, and he leads you to the center.
People started to stop what they were doing to stare at you and Neuvillette as you started to dance. His one hand found your hip, the other guiding your hand outwards and swaying to the orchestra’s music. Some even looked at you in jealousy, but you couldn’t take your eyes off of the beautiful man in front of you.
“How have you been?” You asked. “I noticed... it was raining earlier.” Your tone took on a worried note.
Neuvillette sighed. “It has been a busy day, however, I have been anticipating seeing you for the last few days with excitement.”
Your cheeks warm up slightly. “You… were waiting for me?”
“Of course. I consider you a friend…” he cleared his throat, looking away, and you couldn’t help but notice his usually pale face had gotten a slightly pinker shade. When he looks back at you, he’s smiling, almost shyly. “You look wonderful tonight.”
You blush, and he raises his arm to twirl you around. You couldn’t help but laugh, making him smile even more. “Thank you, Neuvillette. So do you,” you responded, gesturing to his outfit: an elaborate suit filled with shades of blues and greens and silvers on top of black.
The two of you continued your conversation for the next few minutes, and people continued to stare. After a stretch, you couldn’t help but look around and whisper awkwardly, “Everyone’s looking at us…!”
Neuvillette leaned you back for a moment, raising an eyebrow before pulling you back up and continuing. “Nervous?” He asked, and gave a quiet laugh when he saw you blush. “Come.”
He guided you out of the Opera Epiclese to where the fountains were calmly dancing beneath the stars, in sync with the orchestra within the building. There, the two of you continued, but this time the entire courtyard was reserved only for you. After a while, both of you sat down in silence next to the central fountain.
Once a minute had passed, Neuvillette broke the silence. “My apologies… for all the cases I’ve overseen, and for all the meetings and gatherings I’ve attended, I don't know…” He cleared his throat. “I do not wish to make you feel awkward, y/n.”
You looked at him and smiled softly. “I don’t feel awkward, Neuvillette,” you assured him quietly.
He tilted his head silently, thinking. Then after a moment, he raised his hands in a graceful motion, swirling them in the air, and then, a ball of pure water rose from the fountain. You gasped. “Neuvillette…!”
He smiled silently, tilting his hands towards the ball, and it hovered in the air and started towards the two of you. It was no larger than a soccer ball. With a flick of his fingers, it divided into two dolphins, swimming around you and then circling him.
“Y/n,” he murmured. “I’ve waited so long for this night. I hope it meets your expectations.”
Your eyes widened. “It already has,” you said, moving a little closer toward the Ludex. “This has been so nice, and-”
You gasped as the dolphins collided, and the water clashed and became a hundred different droplets, circling the two of you. None of them ever touched you, but they glittered in the moonlight.
“Wow,” is all you could breathe, watching as his control over each droplet never wavered. But it all seemed more than easy for him, and he did it without showing any sign of concentration or strain, all of his attention on you.
“Thank you. So much, for inviting me.”
He smiled then. “Of course. As I said, I really do enjoy your presence. And, I hope you enjoy mine too?”
“How could I not?” You smiled. “I consider you a friend, too, Neuvillette.”
And, for the rest of the night, the two of you spend time together, staring at the stars and telling each other stories of the past and talking about the future.

This is great work! For 32 minutes I felt all the beauty that was here. An orchestra, magnificent outfits, somewhere in the distance Lini is performing tricks, Furina showers herself and the others with compliments. We accepted the invitation from Neuvillette. Later we meet with Clorinda and Risley. Then Neuvillette and I go out to get some fresh air and talk about life, our goals and dreams. After a long conversation, we say goodbye and go to our rooms.
The acoustics in the grand ballroom were simply magical. The way the music echoed and vibrated through the air, along with people chatting and dancing added an amazing atmosphere.
The Chief of Justice, Monsieur Neuvillette, was among some of the prestigious guests, but he didn't dance. He simply had no desire to.
That was until he saw *you.*
The way you seemed to float along to the music, your steps perfectly coordinated. However, since it wasn't usual for you to attend balls of this magnitude, you decided to hide your face with a Renaissance style mask tied around your head.
The violins played, and time seemed to stand still when you felt your hand taken, and a pair of eyes weighed heavy on your silhouette. Could it be? It was.

The rhythm of the music shifted, and her body dipped again and again until it flew all together. She opened her eyes and found herself hoisted inches above his head. She smiled and whispered, “One more second," but no matter how she wanted his gaze on her, she knew it would never be hers. Cheers and applause erupted when the music was lowered. Letting go of his hand, her feet hit the floor, and so did her heart when he smiled back at her.
The dance was over.
Their dance was over.
He took her in once more, his eyes twinkling under the chandelier’s glistening diamonds. “My Prince," she bowed, the words stinging as they left her twitching lips. His smile was no longer there. His gaze was as cold as the day she first met him. This was his goodbye to her.

There was an announcement of a masquerade party to be held in the court. Seems there was currently a criminal going around and pick pocketing people, this party was used to hopefully catch the criminal.
You walked up the stairs that led up to the court, ur dress slightly dragging along the concrete stairs. You wore a dress that went down to ur ankles, a cape that dragged on the ground as you walked. You're heels clicking against the concrete, you're hair up nicely, makeup and a mask that covered half of your face. It was night, partially cloudy outside, the moon peeking through a few clouds.
Opening the doors, you were met with excitement. People standing in the room, their outfits looking rather exquisite as masks covered most of their face. It was kinda hard to see who was who- however furina was easy to spot because of her laugh. Lyney in the background on the stage performing, seeing his passionate smile made you smile, he definitely loved what he does.
Entering the room, it seemed as a walkway was made for you, you're eyes on the surrounding area. A few hairs falling to your shoulders, your eyes skimming the surrounding area for anyone suspicious. But your thoughts were soon interrupted.
"Ah- you have arrived" a familiar deep voice with a tone of elegance, neuvillette. You’re gaze shifted to meet eyes with him, you watched as his eyes wandered to admire your dress. "Just on time as well, welcome!" his expression looking firm as always, although his tone was kind and soft.
You nodded, a gentle smile playing on your lips. "Has there been any clues?" you asked, seems the first thing you thought of was catching the criminal.
Neuvillette turned his attention to you, "No reports yet..." as he spoke, his eyes scanned the surrounding area.
As the night went on, it seemed rather peaceful, would the criminal actually show up? This would be the best hunting ground to pick pocket.
You were speaking with wrio and Neuvillette, holding a glass of wine as the three of you conversed. That was until something had caught wrio's eye.
Following his gaze, you glanced over to watch a criminal at work. Pick pocketing a lady that was with a group, how did they not notice?
You glanced over at Neuvillette, who seemed to have already known what you just saw. Then the both of you handed wrio you're glasses, then began to walk towards the criminal, however the two of you were stopped in you're tracks as dancing couples blocked the path. That was when the both of you looked at one another, then nodded.
Behind the both of you stood a very confused wrio holding three glasses of wine. He blinked, "hey uh-!" it was no use.
Neuvillette turned to face you, "i have an idea- may i have this dance?" he held his hand out as he slightly bowed, his other hand behind his back. You're eyes met, which made you slightly blush, then you smiled and placed you're hand on his.
The two of you beginning to dance along with the music. Following the moves of the surrounding couples, while keeping an eye on the criminal. Performing an elegant dance, neuvillette suprised you when he had spun you. A gentle smile grew on his lips as the two of you danced, neuvillette leading.
Upon getting closer to the pickpocketer, neuvillette spun you around so you could get a better look at them. Seeing that they were making their way to the balcony.
You looked at neuvillette and raised your eyebrows, he caught on immediately. The two of you now beginning to dance towards the balcony where no one was.
You watched as the criminal went to the balcony, they looked back, slightly moving their mask to the side, suppose they wanted to get a better look to make sure they weren't caught. Little did they know, the cheif justice himself was on their case.
Upon reaching the balcony, the two of you pretended not to notice the criminal. Neuvillette made you face sway from them, as he had his eyes on you, he was actually looking past you to get a good look at the criminal, which their imagine was now buried in his mind.
You heard something behind you, looking back you saw as the criminal escape, you were about to say something but we're cut off. You looked back up to see neuvillette and wrio were on the same page already, wrio quickly following behind the theif.
Some relief washed off you, that criminal definitely wasn't getting away now.
"Well now...that should be taken care of- they shall he judged tomorrow" neuvillette said, breathing the silence between you two. His eyes on you, he gently smiled. Seeing as the moonlight complimented you're skin.
"At least that case is closed now" You said, smiling up at him. He let out a small huff and he nodded.
"Indeed- well now, we should take this as a moment to relax-" neuvillette added. Walking to the edge of the balcony as he looked out at the scenery.
"We did such a good job tonight!" you said, smiling with anticipation. "Although i must say...dancing with you was rather enjoyable- you really are a good dancer"
Nevillette returned his gaze to you, he looked down at you and subtly nodded. "I would have to say you're quite the dancer yourself-" his eyes fixated on you, You watched as his eyes surveyed across you're face. After a long silence, you spoke up.
"What is it?" you asked, curious.
Neuvillette gently placed his hand on you're chin, he slightly bent down to be eye contact with you. "Pardon me for being bold- but the moonlight really does compliment your pretty face..."
This sudden change of topics made you blush, you slightly flinched at his bold words. But you we're happy to hear these words, you gently smiled."thank you...tho must i add, you look rather handsome no matter what"
Silence grew over the two of you, you started to feel a tad awkward. You slightly began to nibble on you're lip, which was interrupted by neuvillette running his thumb along your bottom lip. You stopped you studied his facial expression- it was hard to read what he was feeling.
Some More silence, but you watched as his lips slightly parted before he spoke." may i be bold and ask if it would be alright if i kissed you?" his eyes moved up to meet yours. There was something else about his expression...there was another emotion that you've never seen neuvillette express before.
You gulped, closed you're eyes as you nodded. But seems he wasted no time, you soon felt soft lips press against yours. You slightly flinched, closing your eyes tighter as you were very suprised. But then in bliss, you're hands slowly running up his chest to wrap around his neck.
Raising his head, he only left a few inches between the two of you. "Is this what humans say is...love?" he blinked. Afterwards, you felt his arm snake to wrap around your waist, while his other hand grabbed yours. "May i ask for a proper dance?"
Once you nodded in approval, neuvillette began leading the way as the two of you danced on the balcony in an elegant manner. His eyes fixated on you as you smiled having fun, spinning as you held you're arms up, which returned to their previous position.
The two of you danced until the song was over, seems the both of you had new found feelings. The night slowly went by, the party was rather successful, especially since the theif was now behind bars..
Winter, the season of silver snow dancing along the wind currents-- their symphony unheard by all but them as they slowly descend upon the ground covering it in a blanket of white upon the world, the end of their melody.
The sun hidden by the gentle snow crying clouds unable to shine its light down and its warmth to all, laid under the leafless trees replaced by elegant crystals formed from dripping water freezing, were two figures embraced in a soundless rhythm only they could hear.
Their jointed hands laid in one another gently, body swaying to a seamless symphony, feet engaged in a dance as effortless as their breaths mingled with one another, hearts as one, mind as two seeking one another.
Their gazes entranced in one another, as if they couldn't bare to look away-- in fear the other would disappear within the endless storm, viciously seething around them in envy, for as eternal and inevitable as winter is, it will never have what they attained, will never share this same warmth with another, for how great could power be if you have nothing to protect.
A thousand words exchanged with each paired feet moving together, words one shouldn't speak are spoken, oaths are made, the two have come too far for mere words to have any more value.
Perhaps in a millennia, when the world has frozen over into a cold desserted waste land, may all that stand is the statue of two lovers dancing encased in thick layers of snow and ice-- and within this cold cage, should their warming intimacy and bond be seen and felt, even as the cold wind whips at them, even when it's ferocious winds gnaw at them, nothing will seperate these two lovers forever jointed together through mind, through body and through their exchanged hearts to one another.

Every so often, whenever the Hydro Archon was bored from countless trials, she would decide to throw a party for the people of Fontaine. Tonight, you got to go to one of these parties. You entered the beautiful ballroom, with its polished pillars and the rich blue draperies that hung all around the room, walking down the grand marble staircase to the expansive floor below.
You walked around the floor, admiring all the colorful dresses of the women and handsome tuxes of the men, the high ceilings with the gentle crystal chandeliers hanging down, Lyney and Lynette performing their magic in a stage similar to one the musicians were playing on. Through all the glamor and glitz of the party though, there was one particular person you had an eye out for.
You stopped for a moment to take the entire scene in when you saw him. Just a couple of feet ahead of you stood your date for the night, Neuvillette. He felt your gaze as you stared at him, and as soon as you two locked eyes, he started weaving between people to get to you.
"Hello, Lady Y/N," he said, standing in front of you now.
"Hello, Monsieur Neuvillette," You replied, smiling bashfully at the handsome man in front of you, looking somehow more dashing than normal.
"You look beautiful tonight." Neuvillette complimented, taking his time to admire your outfit. You wore an off-shoulder sapphire-colored dress that gently hugged your figure and flowed down to the floor, giving the impression of a cascading waterfall, and a pair of white gloves that reached to your elbows. Both your hair and makeup simple yet elegant.
You mumbled a soft thanks at his compliment. He smiled and chuckled, taking your hand in his.
"So, shall we dance?" He asks, bringing you a little closer to his body.
You nod, following behind Neuvillette as he walks you to where all the other couples are dancing. He turns to face you, putting the hand that wasn't holding yours on the side of your waist.
"Are you ready?" Neuvillette asked.
"Yes, but I must warn you that I'm not a very good dancer." You replied, laughing nervously.
"Then I guess that means I'll have to put your skills to the test." He said.
He led the dance. He was graceful, clearly experienced from the way he never glanced at his feet, keeping his eyes on you the whole time as you two waltzed across the floor and yet always knowing where to go next. Keeping up with the lively pace of the music. Never forcing you around, just guiding you through the dance. Adapting to whatever you did. Despite your earlier remarks, you were also good. You kept in sync with Neuvillette, following behind his footsteps as you two danced.
It went on for the rest of the night, taking small breaks here and there to catch your breath or to socialize with the other partygoers. All of those times spent with Neuvillette at your side. Even though you were nervous about dancing with Neuvillette tonight, you were still having a fun time. Still, as the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end." and before you knew it, the musicians started to play the last songs of the night.
You and Neuvillette were dancing again. This time, he lifted your hand up and twirled you while your dress billowed around you.
"Tonight was wonderful, wasn't it?" Neuvillette questioned you after your twirl.
You smiled, "Yes, it really was."
He smiled back just as the song that had just played turned into a slow tune, the music carrying a dreamlike melody. You wrapped your arms around Neuvillette's neck and started slowly swaying to the music. He swayed along with you, looking like a lovesick puppy as he stared at your face, an expression you never thought you would see on the ludex.
"May we... perhaps be able to do something like this again?" He asked with a faint blush appearing on his face.
"You mean, like a date?"
"I-ahh...yes, I suppose like a date." He stammered out.
You brightly smiled, reaching to hug his shoulders, "Of course."
He sighed in what sounded like relief and hid his face in the crook of your neck. The two of you stayed like that until the musicians stopped playing, parting ways at the end of the party, left to replay the night in your head over and over again.

As the light glimmered, shined across from end to end of the room; it truly complimented the chief Justice, Neuvillette. He invited you to this ball, as a kind gesture from what he had said.
You had just entered the beautiful venue, sighting your surroundings you had hoped to see the gentlemen, Monsieur Neuvillette. Until you felt a soft, cold hand touch your shoulder. You turned to see what it was, there he was, Neuvillette. Oh archons, he looked heavenly.
The luminescence complimented his chiseled bones, his fair skin which paired beautifully with his deep sky-light eyes. It continued to droop down gracefully to his clothes. Clean, straightened garments that would fold in such an elegant way.
"Y/N. I'm glad you could make it. May i?.."
He spoke, holding out his hand, for you to take. What do you do?
"Of course. Why would I miss a personal invitation from the Chief Justice himself?"
You spoke. Holding his hand in resonation.
He smiled softly - He kissed your hand, with his soft, and warm lips.
He slowly guided you from the various crowds. Holding your hand tightly; He had not want to loose you. You both arrived at the center of the ball - coincidentally the light was then positioned at the both of you, focusing on your bodies.
He put to a stop. He turned to you, with a straight face; yet with such a warm expression. Then moving his right hand to your side, with his left he had held your right. You on the other hand responded diligently, putting your right hand to his shoulder, and your other, holding his hand as well. He held you with a firm grip, yet with such tender, and care.
You both started moving.
The music bonded as well, the notes correlating with your movements. The folds of your clothes waved and spun slowly, it felt like time had stopped just for the both of you. You both danced carefully - You didn't know how to dance, yet, he guided you so well and subtly that it had seemed this was a performance choreography. You both twirled, spun, waltzed and twined. As the music came to its gradual ending, he held you tightly, then positioned himself closer to you - he had whispered into your ear for a quick moment.. "Please hold onto me tighter." His voice was deep, and soft. You complied.
He then held onto your waist tighter, as he let your back fall, you thought you'd fall; Yet you didn't. He kept you in place in air, your faces were so close to each other. It made your heart skip a beat.. you felt his cold breath on your face, your heart was pounding. He advanced his face, inch by inch, closer to yours.. As the music had now reached its denouement. So did the final closing of the both of yours little show. ..Your final scene,

the crowd was loud tonight, with people weaving in and out as if they were sewing an exquisite scarf together. from his place on the balcony, neuvillette watched with the eyes of a hawk as person after person passed by. though it was beautiful tonight-ribbon strung high, paintings on the walls, different types of flower bouquets on every table, and chandeliers like crystallized waterfalls (his favourite detail of the aforementioned), he truly had his sights on one thing. a small smile settled on his face as he watched you walk up the stairs, waving casually to him. he felt like he was in celestia, watching you ascend the steps to godhood.
a few people turned to watch-neuvillette was popular with the public, after all. whispers were thrown around as you finally reached him, hands clasping together immediately. the moon shone brightly, illuminating your silhouettes as you muttered a greeting, embracing each other tightly. neuvillette did not mind any rumours or chatter about him, and you weren't worried about a thing while holding him in your arms.
music flooded the ballroom not long after, couples coming together to slow dance to an old fontainian composition. soon enough, the crowd around you two had mostly dispersed, with people either dancing or dining. neuvillette pulled you close, smiling gently as he whispered in your ear.
"may i have the honour of being your first dance of the night?"
I can't get over this Neuvillette playlist. It's a whole experince with him, the song choices, the voiceovers, Nuevillette's voice! Ugh I'm so glad I stumble upon this. Now I can't stop listening to it. It's so soothing.

The Duke spoke lightly, smiling slightly wider when his hand was taken, he took the first step, putting his hand on the chief's of justice waist, and in some minutes the eyes were all on them, as they danced together, not caring for nothing else but them and the music. With some time, they chatted some times during the musics, no one seemed to try to interfere, the image of them together was so beatiful and graceful, they movements smooth and fluid like water, their eyesfocused on one another maked it even better.
