    Thank you very much for sharing the recipe. I am a 13 year old girl from Nigeria but my father and I moved to Australia and married another woman. I was never taught how to cook meals like Egusi soup but I'm slowly learning. I have just finished cooking beef stew and it tastes okay for my first time. Thank you very much for the recipe.

      I am so impressed that you are cooking at 13 years old!! Keep going, you never know you can actually do this for a living, being a chef, there are many woman chefs out there that make a nice living and it is very rewarding. I never thought about cooking at 13, I started cooking around the age of 17. Keep it going, very proud of you even though I do not know you.

      Ifunanya Tomate Pera is actually plum tomatoes so yes, you can use it. I forgot to mention the Spanish name for my chicos y chicas. ;)

      Thanks. I usually use aceite de oliva for my stew, but I recently discovered that aceite de girasol refinado is sweeter in it.. was surprised to see that you use it for your stew as well..

    • @FloChinyere
      @FloChinyere  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For those looking for the classic taste, yes, like every other oil that has a strong smell and taste, olive oil is not the best for preparing this stew.

    My Mum’s stew used to taste so amazing, we tried to figure out the secret, my sister just discovered it’s nut meg👌

    • @obinnaaludu4028
      @obinnaaludu4028 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      She didn't add Nutmeg in her recipe on the allnigeranrecipe site....plus, her recommended qty of spice or stock was inadequate.
      After all salivation during the cooking, I realized the old, traditional, live, do-as-we-dey-look pattern is the best.
      Maggi and onions needed for the stew was much more than what she recommended. She said 2-3 onions. C'mon. Who cooks delicious stews with 2-3 Onions.
      It's 5 at best!

    I laughed so much when I heard 'NS 101'. I admire your sense of humor. I use vegetable oil here in the states most of the time. There's also the canola oil. That's also nice in stew. I have no reason why I haven't prepared stew for almost two months now. I had plans to make it this weekend and your notification came in....God is good! Lol. This is definitely a well detailed video. High five! Since I have NS 101 down packed, I'm advancing to NS 102 :P

    It looks so good thanks for the recipe. Quick question what is the best type of pot to fry the tomatoes without getting them burned. Cause even tho I use low heat to cook it always burns at the bottom of my pots? Thanks in advance.
