You and Mark are quite a pair. Not deterred from a little inconvenience or discomfort to experience adventures of a life time. An encouragement to all of us.
Bravo! What a captivating and encouraging glimpse into what I want to do next year. It’s also a good promo for SkyLab. I’m sold. That’s where I want to go.
Very nice Alayna! I have a question: I've see multiple videos with the pilot under reserve landing in the lake. Several of them, after they land are face down in the water. Some struggle to keep their head above water. Under normal flying and throwing a reserve over water, we may not be fortunate to have a chase boat seconds after splash-down. What is the protocol/procedure to get yourself in a position to float with your head above water? Twist, roll over on your back? Thanks! Keep it up!
Oh man that’s hard to say. I learned a dozen different major things every single day but probably listen to your instructor and don’t hesitate to throw your reserve when it’s needed.
Thank you! Most surprising thing for me was also the coolest thing for me and that was SATs. I was surprised that I loved them and they were the coolest thing I did.
th-cam.com/video/4Fw4utZT3FY/w-d-xo.html Here they are ^ to answer your question though, yes and no. It took physical strength the push and hold the riser away from me and I sometimes struggled with that. Once I corrected my technique it was easier. I found SATs easier than other things but they’re definitely still a pretty technical maneuver.
