Another great video 🥰, spectacular editing 😘😁 & fire content! What you stated at the end validated me. My videos have many edits & extras & I know the work it takes me to put it out. So, the editing price will need to reflect that level. At least I know for sure that hiring an editor will need to wait. When that time comes, though....ahhhhhh, the time I will get back in my life 😂😅❤

Love the video, wondering how many hours of footage does your editor allow you to send over to keep to the $15 budget.
I generally have 6-8 hours of footage so wondering would that be practical, or would you generally have less to chop down?

Thanks a lot for this video. I’ve been considering getting an editor and Iit’s encouraging to hear I could get a video editor who will do a decent job at that price. May I ask if there are things you before and after filming to help him edit to your taste.

Thanks for this! I thought about hiring an editor but as a small TH-camr, part of being a TH-camr is editing myself and learning (this is my thought at least). Hopefully once my channel reaches a certain height it would make more sense 🤔. I would like to have someone I could bounce ideas off of though.

It's so low - it's immoral. Translate that to an hourly rate and you'll see. Even for a third world country it's disgustingly low.
The moment I realized I couldn't hire an editor for my videos I was a bit sad 😂 All of my videos are done in American Sign Language and I don't add the voice-over until after I've finished the first edit through. Unless in the future I can find someone fluent in American Sign Language who also is an editor with a similar style I like.

@@chelsieram That's true, I may try and see. Sometimes people will say, "Oh yeah! I know ASL!" but not fluently. I'm going to try a different filming technique today that should cut down quite a lot on editing. 😊

Hi Chelsie. I am looking to hire an editor through Upwork and wondering if you could help with something I don't quite understand! When sending an offer, do I "deposit $ for the whole project" or "deposit a lesser amount to cover the first milestone".
I ideally want to use the same job posting and pay the editor per video, so if I deposit for the whole project will that close the post after it is accepted? Or can I repeatedly hire from the same contract? I I am a bit worried about having to pay the contract initiation fee over and over again - I ideally just want to pay it once and then each new video is requested from the same contract.
