no, its not hard blade of death as link on piercing is useless sure its the only skill you can link that you also can lvl with a useful zodiac stat build, but it doesn't help you because the important fights, you are at range currently also running toxic flame on piercing, but i question if just using another dmg rune isn't more useful if i wanna play ww, i play diablo
truly, I didn't even tried range or even magic, I'm having fun with melee. I'm balancing both my strength and dexterity on the zodiac, I'll always leave one point for intelligence. On armor, its either dex or strength. I recently got another hand axe, so I settled on double hand axes, enchanted them, so I powered crescent slash, leap attack, wheel slash, and fissure. I linked fighter's wrath on crescent slash, and used charge release as open hand.
It's not really that melee is terrible, it's just that it's harder to set up and play with. Especially on lower levels. Overall, range/magic are indeed better.
@@gregtoler9283 Yeah i've seen that one as well on wasted666's channel. There's also a dagger build that i saw regarding frost shock + spinning dagger that looked insane.
Hey. My toxic flame is level 16 (magic) with 3 runic links also level 16. The toxic flame has 7300 dps. I saw in videos the toxic flame with level 16 with more than 20k dps with the same characteristics as mine. Why is mine so low in dps even at level 16? Sorry for mistakes, I'm using translator
I dunno, I just spin to win everything. I also have a bow char cause I thought it was kinda fun in the lil trial area. Overall I think my whirlwind dood is better in terms of durability and just moving while attacking, I can constantly attack whilst behind the boss.
Melee is terrible? Right now the biggest meta is whirlwind (melee) + poison combo… I have both WW+Poison char and range char.. and they both have good and bad… melee does not suck… only thing is that there seems to be lack of variety when it comes to melee
@@WolverThor actually I did experiment today... and I will take back my statement... melee does sucks compared to other builds and is not simply most cost effective

This game is hardest to solo bos, i stuck in act 10 if you want to use archer i recomended to build piercing arow with blade of death

yeah basically. I try to explain that. I loved my ice crash ability but its just too hard to stay out of stuff

I saw an explosive slash/meteor build that looked really sweet. Tried it out a little and it's super fun.

Guessing it is the link runes tbh. Or it could be your weapon as well. I dont think mine is that high at level 40+
