Since Cloudian Smokeball is a level 2 or lower Fairy, this deck can actually get away with running Diviner of the Herald pitch Trias Hierarchia to summon one from deck.
The only real issue with that line of play is that it does hot fucking nothing.
Make Gachi Gachi Gantetsu is not nothing
It makes your opponent confused, which can be more important than winning
can instead run valkyrie sechste (pooh im really sechste) which on special summon, summons the level 2 valkyrie from deck, which can pich the actually good cloudian spell with a graveyard effect. then link off for the darklord link, search ixchel and go into whatever from there.

This feels like a deck where "did good at a tournament" means "got top 8 in a locals with 9 participants where one guy had to drop halfway through"

Haha soooo this was me 😅. This was only a locals I swear I just built it for a shits and giggles day and went 3-2. But the best thing I found was skull dread and draw into atlus and aerosol to put of a darklord and rip 3 cards from their hand. But this was never meant to be taken seriously guys I swear we aren't this deranged down here.

Also consider the Icejades as a splash maybe. The lvl 5 let's you summon any water monster for free :)
Yeah no this is actually kinda based I wanna experiment with this for fun with Icejades or refine the ratios of both halves of the deck.

Cloudian is only one or two decent searchers away from being actually playable. It's hard countered by Nib, but it satisfies the BUTTONS GO BRRRRR urge that we all have when it actually works

Like Z S said, morphtronic celfon facilitates a much simpler and more consistent near infinite link fodder deck, and it's still garbage
It needs a field spell that lets you use a cloud counter for protection, a monster that lets you special summon a cloudian from the deck, and a spell that lets you add a cloudian card from the deck to the hand.
@@jimtsap04 with the support from animation chronicles 2022 celfon is almost useless. Telefon is much easier to set up infinite materials.

All cards except Dharc the Dark Charmer , though I don't think that it's gonna make a big difference.
In general the deck contains mainly staple cards that can be used in many decks, the only URs that you can't use in most decks are Archlord Krisita and Darklord Superbia.
Also quite relevant, you could and should play 2 Called by the grave in Master Duel, as this deck loses the moment your opponent activates Maxx C.
DDD and New Zealand have done the impossible , MBT apologized after calling the deck bad. Who will be next?

Turbulence is an archetype on it's own. It's the best shit they got going on and that's respectable considering it's a GX archetype. Good for them.

New Zealand and Australia produce decklists that look like someone made as a "casual" deck but then you realise that there is so little card stock in those countries that they literally compress two decks together to hit the 40 card minimum

@@Awesome20801 I don't live in NZ or AU so I can't give you a definite answer, but if the Swordsoul Sky Striker deck I saw on r/yugioh last month is any indication, cards are more expensive and supply is much lower so you see stuff like this crop up

@@novalaxia yea I'm in NZ and my local is pretty diverse, people just can't always afford the meta so a ton of random shit gets played for example I personally have taken U.A and done alright a couple of times
It took my flatmate so long to scrape together Lyrilusc that the deck was banned before it got there. I'm shocked the person who built this even had Accesscode, there have to be sub 50 copies of that card in the entire country.

Cloudians are an interesting archetype because Turbulance is basically the only one worth playing. If they had a card that turned their cloud counter effects into quick effects like Babel does for Orcust, they could be a decent enough control deck and would open up the other cards to being used
Oh god pls no. Theyre Fairies and Fairies already have alot of engines to use like Heralds, Sanctuary in the sky, Valhalla and more. They are already a decent deck with right builds and giving them powerful negations are too much
@@user-yq3bv9rf9b It’s not like any of them are negates, they have a non-targeting monster destruction, spell/trap destruction, a discard, and Turbulence. I really don’t see those being Quick Effects as being overly oppressive at all. Herald negates being too powerful is a completely different topic
@@mokeymale8350 Oh we are only scratching the surface on how strong Cloudians actually are.
Them being Water-Fairy is too strong as they have access to the strongest omni negates that are available in the game.
They can go to Bahamut-Toad as a combo ender after using Turbulence after you set up the board with link 4s with Smoke Balls using Silent Angler. They can use Heralds for powerful handtraps or go use Sanctuary in the Sky for Recyclable Omni negates.
As much as i would love Cloudian support. They are one of those archetypes that should not recieve any kind of support as long as they are not errata'd.
I'm gonna have to try this in master duel, I got a few of the cloudian cards from the legacy packs and I have some of the dark lord cards because I tried despia dark lord. I might not win a lot, but like kuribos, if I win the opponent will never forget they lost to something like this. Also the terror when inferno tempest activates is hilarious.
You could’ve used ixchel to add the trap on your first turn.

Cloudians are one of those archetypes that is almost good multiple times. If DaD wasn't around they would have seen high end representation during that era. If their new support had come a bit earlier they probably could have done some rogue shenanigans. Hell, this deck looks kinda neat.
I mean, Cloudian Eye of the Typhoon got banned in Junior Journey
Because it and Ultimate Obedient Fiend were so meta-warping the entire game became a stall fest.

Australians roast New Zealanders all the time, and they do the same back. It’s not a new phenomenon.
Copying Banishment IS useful, you get to search a Trap. If you searched the one Darklord Rebellion in the deck and Set it, it could send Superbia to activate itself, then Ixchel (provided she isn't shut down by Gryphon) could copy Rebellion from the GY for a 2nd non-target destroy. The deck could also try running other Darklord traps if needed.

This was a really fun episode.
This really shows how Konami could easily bring basically any older deck into the era of modern Yugioh. They don't even need to make it like top tier meta level. I can see why someone would have fun with this deck at locals.

Hey MBT have you ever done a OTT or TMT on a legacy format decklist that hadn’t been created until the format was revived for nostalgia play
They need searchers with a return of the dragonlord protection clause, additional normal summon continuous card that gives more fog counters, and a Babel field spell that protects them from their self destruction and allows you to quick effect change them to defense and draw equal to the number of cloudians you control.
I've been thinking about this deck and it could be amped up by giving it modern tools. It's great at spamming when it can, but ultimately needs to bolster its consistency and control fronts

@@UnElk505 modern decks are going to pop your whole field with accesscode or similar before they OTK you bruh. You could take that effect away from Cloudians and give it to every Adventure/PUNK card and that deck would still be meta, it genuinely doesn't matter to Cloudian viability at all
@@_kenemon_ at least it's better than sitting in attack position on the opponent's turn. What do you want for them to do? Stay in attack? That'd kill them quicker.
Besides, we're talking about Cloudians here. They're crappy and they at least have to work with what they already have going for them with designing new cards. They can't be destroyed by battle, sure. At least allowing them to mitigate that exploitable weakness would give them something. That is why I offered card draw also.

Inferno tempest doesn’t really work unless you are the one crashing into the opponent for 3000 because half the time the necrofaces will bring your deck to zero too. Even best case scenario it’s kinda sucks as a strat so I have no idea why that mystrune dude used it
If cloudian aerosol really works like that, then you dont even need to play eye of the typhoon, aka the brick

Cloudians are just waiting for a really powerful card like with Morphtronic Telefon. Aerosol does help them get a bunch of counters but aside from Turbulence and Altus they don't really have anything good to use the counters for. It would be cool if they at least got an omni-negate link monster that that used Fog Counters (like their own version of Herald of Ultimateness) or a "towers" boss monster that has protection as long as Fog Counters are on the field (like a Cloudian version of Rhongo).
I would be happy never seeing Herald, Rhongo, or Telefon again. All those cards are NO fun to play against. If they support Cloudians I hope they do something else.

Its better because of 2 things. 1: If you wanna try for pure water, you got the Icejades which give you the ability to summon ANY water monster. 2: Toad. And even this deck can run Toad through Bahamut Shark natively if they want.
What you do is beat a splight player at your locals once with this, then claim it has a 100% match up agaist it.
