Mountains are defined as low profile masses, generally found at lower elevations and in rolling foothills of ranges. Mounts are distinctive isolated massifs with large elevations and prominences.
This is by far THE BEST VIDEO of Whistler I've seen, and I've seen WAY too many. I think this is what the park should be so respected for, not all those A-lines and stuff that most people simply can't ride. I've watched a lot of Your videos, but in this one, the viewer just can't go without being jealous of the trail AND the crew. So awesome to see You all shred hard, not having to wait too long for anyone, not crashing and not resting every 3 minutes like some bigger youtubers.
Thanks for the positive comments, Polish guy! You're right, this trail is really special and is quite unique by BC standards. I think europe may have more of these alpine epic trails, but there are a few more here in BC that I would like to film :) Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching!
Just wanted to say that I saw this video last summer and immediately linked this vid and some online info to my 'rides to do before I'm too old' list. I got to do it yesterday and it was EPIC. Tough climbing, especially with the bonus trails (rush hour, happy hour, last call) added in. AMAZING scenery around every corner. I had to stop taking pics cause the ride would have been too long. :D And then Lord of the Squirrels itself was a neverending fun descent with lots of little rock rolls, tons of roots, high speed sections. One of the best rides of my life. Thanks for posting this one and if anyone watching this vid even halfway wants to do it, make it a priority and get out here!
Greetings from Oregon. Just when I think your videos of Whistler & the trails that you ride on around there couldn't get any better I see this one. My mind is made up I'm go'n to whistler for my next vacation to ride them trails especially this one. Awesome video.
Rode this a couple of days ago. Definitely the best trail I've ever ridden. It was raining and visibility up top was low, but the views were still beautiful. Great video showcasing the trails
Oh man I'm missing Whistler watching the rain come down in cold, grey London. This looks amazing I love this style of trail with a huge climb and huge descent - I'm glad Whistler is developing them. If you're ever in Italy drop me a line - some world class trails of this type over there.
Hello, awsome trail. What is the best season to ride this trail, could we rent bikes there, is there some shuttle for the come-back. I am French and I would to get there on my holydays. Merci
+paquita lysao August is the best month to ride this trail. There are many places to rent bikes in Whistler. This is close enough to Whistler village that you can just ride there. You have to ride to the top though!

ERIC !!! I was just wondering if you change your tires before a big climb like this, or do you suffer up hill with bulky tires to accommodate the eventual down hill???
Finished this trail today. Down to the end at 930, with barely sight.... Scared the shit of me. Did 16km uphills from cheakamus all the way crossed the black D rubbish, then transfer wreck to Black D runaway. Crossed highway rode up Callaghan Creek forest service road to northair mine/sproatt access. Then ride up with a twist finally got dream trail into the mystic. almost dead. But came down in one piece luckly. Couldn't see anything during the last 2 km. Heard things moving in the tree probably 10 meters from us.... really scared .we didn't do the good time management. That put two of us in the dangerous.
For this trail specifically, the best time would be August.. the snow can still be up there into July. For lower trails in the valley, you can come earlier.
+Grey Holm the climb is pretty basic once you get to into the mystic. Machine built. Below is the flank, and that's definitely more technical anyway you go.
Epic trail dude! Scenery on the climb looks worth it as well. Will have to hit that up next time I am back in Whistler. Where do you access the start of the trail from?
A cup of coffee and a bcpov video makes a great start to the day.
Keep these coming!
Do you take it black? :)

+Einar Sigurðsson haha, it wasn't before? :D
It was getting there before I saw the video ;)
Rode this a couple of days ago. Definitely the best trail I've ever ridden. It was raining and visibility up top was low, but the views were still beautiful. Great video showcasing the trails
Thanks Rhyno, it's really special up there isn't it? And I was amazed at how fun that descent was!
WOW!!!!! That put a smile on my face. Great video!!!!! Bucket list trail for this Iowa boy:)
+jamesdoonbeg nice! Get on up here!
Awesome, this trail is now on my to-do list next time I'm in Whistler.
+Ryan Boardman awesome :)
one of the most beautiful trails I think I've seen.
Such gorgeous views. This Ontarian is well jealous. Thanks for sharing!
Come on out! :)
“It is I, creaky bike! Hear the song of my people!!!”
Stupid integrated headsets and pf bottom brackets :(
Cant wait to ride this one! Another stellar video. Great work.
Thanks! Hit it before it snows again!
BCpov Im gonna for sure man! Keep the videos coming - best in class!
it doesn't get much better than this. Enjoy the amazing views at the top and then send it on this incredible trail.
This might have been one of my favorite rides of 2017!
Nice work staying in that dudes line man. I'm doing this trail tomorrow for the first time and there is no way we are rippin it that fast!
+dave beauchamp have fun!
awesome trail. You guys are so spoilt with the mountains and trails you have.
+Snapcatcher in OZ we are! Spoilt and lucky!
Oh dear! your best riding yet. Miss this kind of stuff from you.

Awesome, I'd love to ride italy sometime!
Well Liguria is the place to go!
Wow.... that's epic stuff! Cheers for sharing mate.
No problem aus, thanks for watching
Rode it today. Brutal climb but well worth it. Loved riding above the tree line. Awesome trail!
+wpf312 once you pop out of the tree line the ride goes from "okay" to "omg" pretty fast :D
LOTS of fun. I rode it on the 19th, looks like it smoothed out some already - wish they would put in a decent climbing trail up to the Flank.
+keehotee haha, it's so steep isn't it! Typical Whistler
"I like fast [coughs] I think I ate a bug" definitely one of the best monologues in MTB filmography!
Bruh
Looks awesome. Next time I'm in whistler I'm definitely riding this! I'd be stopping every two minutes at the top for photos!
Thats pretty much what we did!
Whistler never appealed to me until you showed this video now it's on my bucket list
+Karl Fonner yes, the bike park gets all the love, but there is plenty of stuff outside the park that is amazing
This is the kind of ride I'm interested in. Not the continuous videos of A Line...lol. Seems like a great vacation spot for the family to ride.
the only limiting factor is the distance and elevation!
Thanks for posting this. Riding it today!
Awesome, hope you enjoyed it!
Coming from the UK I can only dream of trails like this. Awesome video
Best get on a flight next summer!
BCpov if only it was they easy. Great channel by the way
I questioned my sanity when I committed to watching a 30+ minute video but that trail is ridiculous. Thanks for sharing.
+chadizms i questioned my sanity uploading such a long video, but it seemed such a shame to cut more out
Love that trail planing to go next week
Fantastic!
Best vid, ever!! Epic ride for sure...
:D i really enjoyed this one!
Awesome video! Thanks so much for sharing!
Can't wait for this trail to open up this year!
BCpov certainly looks breathtaking...
Yea, I'm going to the EWS in August in Whistler. I am so doing this trail 🤙
Sweet! Definitely do it!
BCpov you coming out to Ontario and Quebec this year for the CNES?
Not this year. Maybe next year I'll head out that way for world champs.
Epic video dude. I seriously need to come and ride in BC.
+Scott Rolfe thanks man, any mtb'r should come up at some point!
that was awesome probably the best trail i’ve ever seen anyone do make me want to go to bc to ride
+Blade runner41 42 this one is special for sure. If you get the chance, i recommend it!
this is so nice, makes me want to go to whistler even more...
Great video, your bike creaks like my diamondback.
stupid press fit bb!
lol, no worries, the best bike is the bike you got right?
Great video guys, can't wait to ride this trail next season when we come over on a biking holiday. Was that a creaking Trek I could hear?
Yup, in this video the headset was making noise.
thanks for sharing, really enjoyed it, sure you guys did.
Yes we did, was a great day! Thanks for watching Gary!
Would love to know what LUT you use and/or a video how you edit and get that look! Awesome content man!
It's actually a custom grade I've developed myself. Thanks!
Think the keg might have been brought up for safe fire making.... awesome trail vid, and epic views! Severely jealous that this isn't in my locality 😢
Where are you based out of?
Such a rad trail. Nice riding too. 🤙
+Dan K thanks :) it was handy to follow Guillaume
Epic trail man! Great footage.
Thanks Sammy!
How do you not have more subscribers? Very high quality videos! Keep it up!
Thanks James! I'm working on it, slowly but surely
Legend has it, he still is
What is that you got wrapped around your cables? (keeping them together)
Awesome video! Always blown away about how much a bike can handle... too bad I live in a flat country called the Netherlands :-(
:) the alps are close by!
Yep, that's true!
That trail seems SICK. I would love to get there. Are you till riding this Trek? Which Trek was it?
i would love to ride this trail, amazing!
impresionante el nivel, greetings from Chile!
Great video wish you and your wife would go back and ride it again 5 years later.
wow, that's a bucket list ride right there. BC seems really dusty though!
It is right now! May-April, not so much :)
What does that little fender in the front actually do? Or prevent?

Somehow I never found your channel until Phil mentioned it in his video. You earned a new sub though, awesome vids!
Thanks Logan!
After Covid I gotta visit Canada. I live in So Cal kinda below the mountain from Sky Park Santas Village and Big Bear.
ERIC !!!
I was just wondering if you change your tires before a big climb like this, or do you suffer up hill with bulky tires to accommodate the eventual down hill???
Great video, and amazing trail, so jealous :)
This one is really special isn't it? Thanks for watching :)
Without a doubt, everything that is seen around the trail is indeed extraordinary.
So enjoyed that !
Me too! This is one of the best rides I've done!
Beautiful "Silver Rocky" trails
Finished this trail today. Down to the end at 930, with barely sight.... Scared the shit of me.

sounds like a great adventure! definitely have to be careful riding in the dark! must have been beautiful at the top though!
What's the best time of year to visit Whistler valley for trail riding? Will be coming from the east coast ... thanks!
For this trail specifically, the best time would be August.. the snow can still be up there into July. For lower trails in the valley, you can come earlier.
is this like all the way down? like 30mins of flowy, breathtaking, fast downhill?
yes sir!
Amazing. Is it a long droning climb or are there steep/tech bits?
+Grey Holm the climb is pretty basic once you get to into the mystic. Machine built. Below is the flank, and that's definitely more technical anyway you go.
Damn how did I not see this one yet?? I could totally get down on some of that! (At like half your speed though haha)
Hehe, this is one of my favourite rides!
Granted, trail grading is subjective, but do you reckon this is an actual blue trail, or a 'Whistler blue' (i.e. a black diamond anywhere else)?
Definitely a Whistler blue...
Awesome video, but that creak on your bike is distracting. I rode this recently too and the whole thing was socked in with cloud. Gotta go back!
Sorry about that creak! It's annoys me too! I think I've got it fixed now.
What a trail!
You didn't stop for a swim? Nice and brisk today.
+Graptos no swim :) probably a bit chilly
great flow dude!
Thanks, man!
Epic trail dude! Scenery on the climb looks worth it as well. Will have to hit that up next time I am back in Whistler.
Where do you access the start of the trail from?
You gotta head up the flank to get to into the myst climb trail.
thinking about trip from the uk to whistler, worried about the bears and cougars , should I be ? is it dangerous to bike these trails ?
You don't have much to worry about. It's pretty much all black bears around Whistler, which are pretty chill.
I’m willing to brave it for that trail lol, it looks amazing, best video I’ve seen of the trail.
incredible - love it so much -
Was your bike making that noise? I have a similar issue, I believe. How did you solved it?
I got a new bike!.. it was the headset and the cranks.
is this 60fps what camera do you use?
It's 24 fps on a hero 4 black
Beauty mate!
Wow nice trail man
This is one my favourites! thanks for watching enrique!
What month of the year was this video done?
sadly one trail which I'll never be able to ride but I love it haha
beautiful! O_O Would it make sense to go there with a big bike? That's all we have 😅
What bike (specifically tires) did you run on this?
This is a awesome trail
How long did this ride take you?
awesome ride!!
How long is this trail?
which trail is this?
I watch these while I'm on the trainer. 30 min is a great length. I also like the subtitles because the trainer + fan is too loud to hear talking.
Ah, that's a great way to pass the time, thanks for watching!
awesome bro!!
+AdogJbone 49 ooohyaaa!
Great video thanks
What settings do you use on your GoPro?
+Great Gotsby I'm basically using Jordan boost Masters settings.
This is so sick
+Western Gnar Carolina i was loving it for sure!
this trail is nice!
+Yuri Boiblu beauty isn't it?
How the F**k long is this thing? Great trail.
It's a big ride to get up there! :)
@@BCpov how many kilometers?
6:03 Maybe the trail wasn't the only thing you slayed that day...
+SG - MTB haha, what!?
