Glad to finally see one of these videos that's so sweet and genuinely thoughtful and probably makes the patients lives better, like literally the rest of their entire life will be effected for the better because of one persons choice to be kind to them in such a scary, difficult time. So many examples I've seen of nurses online is being rude and cruel behind their patients backs... I know that's not all of you, but it sucks that they're so prevalent, so this is refreshing
When my oldest was born, I knew my family was on their way with cameras, this was 1998, so still film. Well, as soon as they took my daughter for screening and were done with me, I got up for a shower. My daughters dad asked what I was doing. I said I'm nasty and sweaty. I'm taking a shower. The nurse came in to check on me while I was in there and asked him why he let me go alone. He said you try telling her she can't do that. Lol. I felt better when the tribe descended on me. They all needed pics of the 1st grandchild having the 1st great-grandchild.
I didn't even have the first shower at the hospital. I had mine at home because the hospital was more worried about getting my baby and me out of the hospital so they could clean the room. I'm not kidding, and I thought, okay, you're telling me you don't have enough rooms.
The nurses when I gave birth treated me like a queen and was very gentle with my son. They answered a lot of questions. They didn't seem bothered or annoyed by it either.
Nurses never helped me once I popped the kids out. Last time, the nurse was like…. super bitch. My pediatrician actually called her out when she came to see the baby the next day. Thank you for your kindness.
This is VERY NICE OF YOU ! ❤ After birth some moms get postpartum depression I know I did and having your bathroom set up really makes you feel cared for

Oh boy my first shower after a c section my nurse goes “where’s your tape?” And I’m like “tape? Omg am I going to split open?“ and she felt so bad she said “omg no, just usually the surgeon adds tape but she jhst did a great stitch job.” I nearly fainted and can go the rest of my life without that experience 😅
Girl I wish I had you 😂😂 my nurses postpartum kept asking if my baby was ready for circumcision when we had NO circled on the white board, and didn’t check to see if I showered [I did not]. Girlllll I watched the lady “clean” my shower and watched her mop right around a big azz drop of blood on the floor 😭😭😭😭😭 I said no ma’am I’m gonna sit in my nasty 1st time mama juices and cry it out till I get home and shower in my own clean tub 😂
I have 3 kids and at each delivery the L&D nurses are what made all the difference. As the person who just gave birth, you are at your most vulnerable and also the most needy. To have those women show that extreme level of compassion, kindness, and willingness to help in LITERALLY every circumstance was so amazing and I was grateful beyond words.
When you literally feel like death in every single part of your body, and just pushed a whole baby out of you, with legs feeling numb, you're not gonna care lmfaooo

You literally sound like a dream nurse! ❤
This is so amazing! After 3 kids I never had a nurse put so much thought into these thing. You are so thoughtful and sweet!
You are a Wonderful Nurse as always! Thank you so much Anna. 😃
Love health care workers that actually care about their patients.
This is VERY NICE OF YOU ! ❤
After birth some moms get postpartum depression I know I did and having your bathroom set up really makes you feel cared for
If the whole world was as kind and caring as these nurses, the world would be so much better
my first time after csection, I had the best nurse
I kept apologizing for everything and she was so sweet
Birth already is life giving
Give these mamas all the respect and love they deserve for populating the entire world and enduring all the agony that comes with it
Their hearts are so much bigger than we could ever imagine
You guys are amazing!
Thank you for being so caring for these women xx
I have no idea where you work or even where I'll give birth at one point in my life but I hope it will be under your care lol
Great nurses like you are supreme- the thoughtfulness and compassion is bar none
That 1st shower really is tho! I felt like a whole new woman after lol
Such a thoughtful woman.
That first shower after birth just hits different.
That first shower really is life giving! Thanks for sharing!!!!
That is so kind of you. I know all those small things you remember make such a difference to women who have just been through having a baby!
We had to keep telling our nurses that we don't want our sons sliced up too. How hard is it to look at the board 😅
You’re such a wonderful blessing to the Mothers you care for!!!!
Can I have you as my
Nurse next time I decide to have another baby please.
So beautiful thank you for being so compassionate
If there’s a place to sit down…I liked to put a towel or two on it and just sit and soak up the warm water after having my babies
I will never forget the L&D nurse on morning shift. She was phenomenal and helped me every step of the way.
I would do this job if it didn’t involve all the years of school
You can be a cna (certified nursing assistant) in labor and delivery less school and still rewarding.
4 years?
I have 3 kids and at each delivery the L&D nurses are what made all the difference. As the person who just gave birth, you are at your most vulnerable and also the most needy. To have those women show that extreme level of compassion, kindness, and willingness to help in LITERALLY every circumstance was so amazing and I was grateful beyond words.
oh it absolutely is! i actually hit active labor as soon as i was gonna use the shower for pain!!
I continuously ran the hot water heater cold with my first before I went to the hospital because I had the worst back labor and it felt sooo good!!
I wish I had you as my nurse when i took my first shower after birth.
None of my nurses helped me with the shower but luckily I had my bd to help. 🙏🏼
the thought of someone helping me shower or get dressed.... absolutely not 😭😭
When you literally feel like death in every single part of your body, and just pushed a whole baby out of you, with legs feeling numb, you're not gonna care lmfaooo
@@SS-ui7bymy dignity would
The same nurse helping you shower most likely just watched your entire vaginal area stretch open enough to push a watermelon sized human out. They've already seen it all🤣😂
Trust me, you won’t care😭
Not after that experience 😢
I wish I had this kind of help when I had my kids.. It's great to have someone help you before and after you shower after having your babies.. Thank you so much for what you do.
Get that shower ready for when shes laboring!! I stood in the shower for hours it felt amazing. Hot water during back labor kept me going. Made it to 8cm
I'm pregnant with my 7th child and I've never had a L&D nurse or anybody do this for me in the hospitals I've been to 😂 You're a saint ❤
Any momma who has you for a L&D nurse is so incredibly blessed 🙌🏼💓 Thank you for all you do.
Wow I wish every hospital had a L&D nurses like this ! Never had anything like this when I gave birth! I was never even asked if I wanted a shower I went home and shower smh !
You're so sweet.
I'm forever grateful for the nurses that made my experiences so lovely. I had no family whatsoever and the little things meant more to me than I could ever thank them for.
You're an amazing nurse keep doing what you're doing the world is blessed to have you here
the whole world must have nurses like you
You r literally an angel!!!
We need nurses like you🙏🏾🥰
I’m pregnant with my fourth. I really hope the nurses on base are this attentive to their patients. This is next level thoughtfulness! Love it!
Oh man, I remember the nurse who helped me take my first shower so well. Made me feel so comfortable and comforted.
I swear, none of my L&D nurses did this for me you just seem like one of the special ones that everyone will try to get you’re doing amazing things for new mothers
There’s a special place in heaven for nurses. ❤
I was in an L&D unit for 15 weeks prior to a stillbirth. The nurses truly became my friends (truly one of them still is to this day,) and they really made my stay and the loss of my baby so much easier. What you’re doing means so much!
You are an ANGEL!!!
So true!!!! The first shower after birth is HEAVEN SENT 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿! OMG! Mom of 4 💜💙💙💙
I wish when I delivered, that I had a nurse who cared half as much as you do!! 💜
