the definitive version of this is on Duster's debut album Smiling Like I'm Happy . I bought that album 2nd hand from a boy at school around 1969( best 50p I ever spent) and played it to death. Although Duster played as a one-man band he was helped out on a fee tracks by his "house band" ( so called on the liner notes) consisting of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Peter Green. He was good friends with Peter and wrote Jumping at Shadows about him. Peter would also play on Duster's next album Bright Lights .... recorded live in Godalming, Surrey ; but for contractual reasons was listed as Peter Blue!

Duster Bennett, one of the truly great British blues legends sadly no longer with us. His recordings with Peter Green back in the sixties are legendary.

Duster was a tremendous talent. Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac did what is in my opinion an even better version of this song but Duster's take on it is superb too.

Peter Green worked with Duster on one of his LP's. Peter was a very giving person who had no problems helping a friend. I have no proof just a thought process on knowing both Duster and Peter's music. I would not be surprised if Peter helped Duster put this song together, the song is very much like Peter's style and life of being on edge . Either way it is an amazing song credited to a friend Peter Green worked with, a classic . RIP Duster and Peter.

I love this guy, his tunes are the best. While I was in school 70's me and my roomies would sit around the the wood stove drink bourbon, smoke camels and play our harmonicas, 10am, Sometimes we would go to class Ahh the old school days.

Duster was a great friend' and best man at my first wedding. Great music, and he experimented with a differently tuned guitar. Stella, his wife, came to live with us after Tony died so tragically in the car crash. A real Christian friend, a great loss. He was, I think, about to try to break into Australia?

Huge thanks to John Mayall for including Duster on the bill in America back then. One of Peter Green’s greatest assets was telling audiences that this was Duster “Tony” Bennett’s tune but it was theirs as shared and they both knew it came from them both regardless of who added to Duster’s imagined comment, “here listen to this”. It only exists because of two friends having a warm sharing. Anyway the harmonica carries it forward even though PG was also a great harmonica too.

This was recorded for a B.B.C. session I believe. I like it more that the version on Duster's debut album 'Smiling Like I'm Happy'. He did some great stuff on those radio sessions, including superb versions of 'Love Me Like You Can' (which became 'I Want You To Love Me') and 'Worried Mind', also a great rendition of Frank Frost's 'Ride With Your Daddy Tonight'.

Peter Green did an amazing cover of this song, hearing it sung by Duster - albeit without the guitar lead that Greeny put into it I find that this is equal to that cover.
even though the originals are soem times worse than when awesome talent covers them, it is obvious Duster is very talented singer and I am assuming the harmonica player in this recording?
