Lego House Shop / Store Haul - Buying some of the exclusive sets for myself & for investment

- Video of my recent trip to The Lego House Shop in Billund Denmark.
I was particularly interested in getting some of the Lego House exclusive sets that were available.
I also go through my haul at the end of the video, however you may need to turn the volume up just a bit as it was filmed outside and the sound quality is a little quiet, so apologies for that.
The haul is amazing and to be honest if you didn’t max out the exclusive purchases it wouldn’t have been worth going. I love the vip scheme and recently used mine to buy a really cheap Titanic. I’m really tempted to go myself one day now.
I purposely save up my vip points for this trip, as now that the UK is out of the EU, I'm limited to only bring back £390 per person in goods, back into the UK. The VIP discount was helpful in keeping me well under this amount.
A great haul of exclusives there, Iain. I'm rather envious of the ducks and brick building machine sets!
I love all of the exclusive sets, but the duck is my favourite, although the machine is the best value as it has the most pieces.
Great informative set of videos on the lego house. I wish to make a trip, partly to pick up the exclusive sets for my personal collection. So now I know what to expect when I get there. Great work

I am so envious! Imagine selling a bundle of the first 3 exclusives together in a few years time, should be a good investment. I love the brick moulding machine will try and get one through eBay. Thanks again for taking the time to share the video.

Haha you got caught out at end..you should have got Anthony to purchase items..I've been using my wife's Amazon account for the German App euros off deals.
He'd already bought some stuff on the Monday - I did ask him to go back in for me on the Wednesday but then I decided I had bought enough anyway so decided against it.

Hi Bettina, thanks for leaving a message. I've been wanting to go ever since they built the Lego House - I was originally planning to go in 2020, but then covid happened! It was a long way to drive for me, but worth it as I have the space to bring lots of lovely exclusive Lego sets with me.

Thanks. The exclusive sets like rhe duck and Dagny Hall were, I think, 599 Danish Kr, and the Architecture set was 449 DKr and included the Danish sales tax.

I sometimes make it to a local Lego store and I enjoy walking in there and scanning the shelves for investments but every single time I feel like a massive 36 year old creep/weirdo doing that while I make my way through all the little kids building their mini figs etc.

Lol. I gave up worrying about that kind of things years ago. As long as you enjoy something and it's not hurting anyone else, I say go for it!

Extremely random question many months later, but I'm planning a trip to the Lego House later in the year... And it appears the brick moulding machine is now retired :( Don't suppose you've still got one that you'd be willing to part with? :D
Have fun at the Lego House - it's a great place. I'll be hanging on to the brick moulding machines until at least next year before taking them to a Lego fair to sell on.

I can't help myself
Not sure if this is something the employees are trained to do or if she just cared that much about you buying multiples of the sets or using your VIP points in this way. I think if there is a reward program like this, you are allowed to use the reward program to its full capacity according to their rules. Also, it seems that you bought only 4 of the set when 5 is the limit, and split around multiple purchasing times. If they are trying to sell more or make their products seem like a more attractive deal by offering these collectible GWPs AND sets that not everyone can buy, it completely invalidates the argument that you would be somehow preventing kids from getting these sets or whatever their thought process here was. You went there to give your hard earned money to them for an exchange of products according to the rules they set out, so I think they should follow those rules. But maybe there could be a fine print somewhere in the rules about this. Also, I'm not saying you should stay there and argue about it, I think you did the right thing but I think it's interesting to discuss something like this afterwards. After all it's just a big company against one customer.
I do understand if they were running low on the GWP stock at the local store that maybe it wouldn't be as nice to deny some kids access to those if they don't have a single GWP. But in that case I think they should have a policy to give you a replacement product or a voucher or an option to get it later if you decide to visit a lego store. Just something. Again, thinking about something like this should not be a single customer's problem, but Lego's own problem that they should solve if they want to have such a system. Or they could just put more strict limitations, but again as far as I understood you made your purchases according to the rules. I guess you got a bit more for your money though because of that conversion.
Yes, it was a shame not to get that final GWP but it's just one of those things I guess. I still had a fantastic day there regardless
