Nice dress, will try to make one.I thought you said 2 yds of fàbric. But it seems to be alot more. Can you pls tell us what length of fabric you using. Thank you for your idea.
from what I've gathered from this tutorial, you need two yards/meter in total. 1) use one meter for the bottom (front and back piece) (cut the one meter piece in half length wise. use one half for the front. The other half, you cut in half width wise for the back 2) use one meter for the top (waist band and wrap)
Lovely video. I especially loved your description of how to do the pockets. I teach sewing, and your instructions here are EXACTLY how I would teach a beginner. Good job. You are doing great. I look forward to seeing the rest of your videos
I love the second way you wrapped the dress, could you do a tutorial showing some of the more different ways to wrap this dress. a number of the tutorials online show the sabre straps over and over.
wow this is super lovely,, I'm going to try this as soon as I get machine... although I got a little confused at the band part , but asides that, it's really awesome ..
iris kahunde Hi i think you take about 1.5 meters of fabric for the bottom skirt. Then the other half is for the wrap sides. Also your waist band can come from the bottom part
😍😍😍 LOVE!!!! Do you sell your patterns?? I work at a school and am the advisor for Latino club - i would love to have our group try making this dress with your patterns!! Please PM your contact info! Gracias
You have a choice either cut the fabric length into two. One piece is for the skirt and the other for the waist band and the top. That's just to get enough gather in your skirt. Check it out.I just calculated it for myself.
One of my goals is to sew my whole wardrobe...

Do you think cotton fabric would work? What did you use?
This tutorial was abit confusing for me especially that the beginning when you skipped straight to the pockets part.
iris kahunde Hi i think you take about 1.5 meters of fabric for the bottom skirt. Then the other half is for the wrap sides. Also your waist band can come from the bottom part
thanks for the clarification
She said sew both of the sides with the pockets all the way down and now I’m confused cuz I want to put on my waist band on and it’s not working
Amanda Sewell yea. The part where you add the wrap around to the waist doesn’t make sense at all
I would really like the beginning explained again on how.to cut the material for beginners... Please please please
thank you so much for your help
Are you using 2 meters or 3 meters of fabric. Thank you for making this tutorial. Very attractive dress.
I used 2 yards
CAN WE GET A STORY TIME ON HOW LONG U BEEN DOING THIS BECAUSE HONEY IM INLOVE WITH EVERY ITEM
I will do that soon
Do you think this could be done with another fabric on the bottom that is less stretchy.
Please what sord of fabric and how long? Grate job, congrats!!!
Wow your a great teacher.... Am really amazed by your skills but you need to stop skipping the video coz it kind of confusing at some point
😍😍😍 LOVE!!!!
Do you sell your patterns?? I work at a school and am the advisor for Latino club - i would love to have our group try making this dress with your patterns!! Please PM your contact info! Gracias

OVOKE how much for fabric
can you list the yards for each part. top and bottom and waist band. also the pocket
I love it! I emailed you
Thank you i will get back to you as soon as possible.
OVOKE what are the measurements for the bottom of the dress
How long did it take you to finish?
hi if you are plus size how many yards do you think will be needed? thanks
3 yard should do
+OVOKE thanks so much
Can you show me how to make number 4 pls
The long pieces at the top are they 2 meters or 2 yards?
Two meters and 2 yards is the same I think.
+OVOKE meters is a tad bit longer than yards. id go woth meters just to be safe. you can always cut excess.
Thanks Kathrine, i have always is the same, i guess you learn everyday
Actually *****, 2 yards is equal to 1.8 meters. I just double checked.
+OVOKE thank you!! I made one that night and made it 2 yds 😊😊😊
Nice
Thanks xD
what type of fabric did you use? has it got any stretch? love the dress but no good for me as I'm bigger busted and need a bra
Can you breakdown the exact measurements for each piece, mainly the front an the back piece.

I'm wondering what were the measurements for the two wrap pieces?
kenisha morris 10 inches by 2 meters
Fola Wemimo its so confusing. ..one minute you speak in imperial..the next in metric. also how wide was the fabric?
How many inches wide is the waistband?
A bit confused.. how many metres in total. is it 2 yards.
2 meters
lovelovelovelovelove you so much
Thank you
how many yards for the top
1 yard
You have a choice either cut the fabric length into two. One piece is for the skirt and the other for the waist band and the top. That's just to get enough gather in your skirt. Check it out.I just calculated it for myself.
