Losoma tashis 🙏
Lo means year , soma means new and tashis means mubarakah ho❤️
Losar is celebrated for 3 days in our village . Day 01 is of Mistooh. Morning we prepare Mistooh . Mistooh ( includes Brangyas made up of sattu) this is basically a new year good luck sign . We greet each other losoma tashis and morning rituals starts .Buddhist and traditional rituals are done on this day . Afternoon we go to offer prayers in our fort and after then in evening all villagers go to monastery roof and our cultural dance ( kayang ) is performed. This video is all about day 01 Mistooh .

Losar signifies the dawn of a buddhist new year.. and so nice to see that it is being celebrated with great faith and gaiety in the whole of buddist dominated himalayan region from ladakh to upper kinnaur..
For us living down stream of river Satluj in kinnaur, it is only through such vlog that now we have the access to witness and observe the rituals and customs associated and followed during losar celebrations.. It seems very historic and traditional in fact..
