For your information (not trying to offend or something), AUS like dusttale, killertale (recently someone told me that it is actually "something new"), horrortale, aftertale - is actually alternative timelines or AT. There is also AT that has connection to a reset malfunction, maybe a hacker interference, if im right, one of them - quantumtale (reset got corrupted you could say). AU - alternative universe, something was changed in the history or how the whole world works.
If I remember correctly dust sans is the result of a few million to billion genocide route resets And if I am correct in dust tale frisk fights sans to the point where he would rather kill the other monster's so he can get lv to kill frisk and he kills papyrus not just for his lv but so he dosent have to be killed by frisk and in the process goes to true insanity from killing his own brother. But I may be wrong on some of this since it has been a few years since I researched about a Undertale au so please don't judge me that much please.
