I was there as well.. I’ve been to plenty of the dead, dead and co, the further etc shows.. but I was never lucky enough to see Jerry play, but every time they played in town as a youngster my Dad would take me in the car to drive by where they were playing so I could at least hear his voice from the side of the road. This was the first time hearing this song, and I felt beyond emotional and couldn’t stop crying either, now I know why.. what a special show ✨
Absolutely wild that people are going to take a piss during this intimate tune. Thanks for sharing. What a wonderful time it must’ve been. I saw Bobby play this tune in Madison, WI last year. But this version fills my soul
When I was there for july 4th weekend, the music played in the lobbies and the bathroom at arguably a better quality. That was the only time i went to the bathroom while the dead was playing and it was the pit bathrooms so not sure if that is the case for all levels
I loved Garcia and weir. I just do not get John Mayer nothing against him but he his so diametrically opposite to GARCIA. A champion of the down and out weird. Mayer a trust fund baby
@@39pinkmoon Mayer grew up in a pretty normal life. John worked very hard to get where he is. His parents were both educators. His first guitar was a rental. Not a trust fund kid
Such a deep cut. Really surprised to see Bobby pull this out. It’s one of my top five dead songs and I’d love to hear the rest of the band on this soon
Thank you so much for this …. Bringing so much joy to these days between…. Just Mickey and Bobby up there is really something else…. mickey using the beam to emphasize how Jer’s spirit is with us and Bob during this run ⚡️⚡️🥲
shiftrd_1114, I see you dabble in the Dark Arts of Douchebaggery. You show great promise. Keep on being the person you are; you will reach your full potential in that arena. Feeling bad for your family and friends (if you still have any). Have the day you deserve!
i honestly thought his voice was great on this tune. it was bobby’s playing that was a little painful for me. still amazing getting to experience it live
@@masonskowronski212 yeah it is what it is. Just glad they’re still playing and yeah that would’ve been incredible to see it live, and Bobby’s doing wolf bros this fall, He’s unstoppable ! #NFA
Bobby “Ace” “Legend” Weir paying a personal tribute here. Was about as sweet as it could be. One of my best moments of the series
This is the single best thing i've seen from all the DeadCo sphere videos. Gotta go wipe the tear away from my eyes now
Just... wow. An elegant tribute. Thank you Robert, Jerry, Bobby.
The most heartfelt performance of any song I have ever seen in my life. I was lucky enough to be there.
@@BillKinsman I agree!
Yup, same!
I hear ya. It was an amazing moment
Bobby fucking killed this. Happy birthday Jerry. Thanks for recording and posting
Was there, cried. The highlight of the night.
I've never cried that hard. Was literally sobbing hysterically. So fucking beautiful. Still brings tears to the eye thinking about it.

Crying right now! Love this song. Perfect way to honor Jerry that night!
I was there with my 27-year-old boy and he lost it during this song. I laughed, I cried. It was beautiful.
Love you Bobby! Thank you for all the years of joy You've given us.
This is a special one to me. Always has been. This has made my morning better than it would have been - so thank you… very much.

Love this song, but not a fan of Bobby doing it, he just has no melody left in his voice. I hate to hear him sing like that.
Can we just appreciate that this beautiful tribute to Jerry was even preformed? NFA❤️
@@Chasejuggz I’m not denying that, but I will give my honest opinion
