I don’t know if this comment makes any difference, but this my first time to follow the series of lectures offered by the University. It’s indispensable, very important to those suffering or treating someone suffering of depression or anxiety. Where were you all these years! Thanks to the presenter and the broadcasting team. Thank you
Can you please guide me to the series? I mean the six-session series
What a wonderful presentation! I loved it. Thank you, Dr.
Thx much posting sharing
Spot on there, Stewie! I will watch this 2 or 3 more times.
thanks for the shortcut
How is Mental Health made aware in education? Excellent video needs to be shared.
Thank you, fantastic, its all good!
Splendid!
Very useful important information. Thanks.
Excellent solution. And how fortunate that you should happen to have a friend who is an expert in knotting.
Nice!
@colloredbrothers There may be 'n' number of lectures and talks to explain the relation between the music and the mind and also there may be a 100 plus practical approaches to support it, but I feel that ultimately, it all comes down to Meditation - Calming down the mind is the main aspect of every technique. The music to achieve this remarkable state of mind, need to not necessarily be a musical instrument. Even the beat of the human heart is a sound that would calm the mind.
The introductory video with the guy that changes was a great way to start the session! I am a university student preparing a mindfulness talk to high school students and I would like to use that video, where can I get it from?
@JuniperSprouts I was just watching another youtube video that might be beneficial to you. It is called 'The Psychology of Change' by Rob Williams regarding psych-k. It is about an hour but in the end he will give a demonstration and it seems to make a lot of sense. Hope this helps.
Beautiful... I really enjoy mindfulness meditation. 🧡
I've liked watching a bit of #sriavinashdotv myself recently with my mindfulness meditating.
I find his mindfulness talks very heartwarming. 🧡
Is there a "mini veterniary school for the public" too, or at least videos of dicussions like this but related to animals and issues that would concern a future veternarian as opposed to humans and future doctors?
@vigilhammer
I fully agree, zazen meditation to me is the only way.
Main speaker @4:22
Great speaker.
Erica Rogers Horrible speaker.
very interesting.... check out vipassana meditation... same thing thru meditation.

The basics of mindfulness will work to some extent but I feel that it's a bit superficial. If you realize yourself and understand that the mind is not a part of the person and you live your life in the present moment, you start to learn these things from self observation, because you can look at it from a neutral perspective and analyze your mind. I think adyashanti, eckhart tolle, krishnamurti, ramana maharshi, are the people to listen to if you want to get rid of all your wordly pains.
I wonder, is mindfulness compatible with multitasking?
In Zen, there is a saying "when thinking, think; when walking, walk; when sitting, sit". If you disperse your mind over too many tasks then you prevent mindfulness, and actually become worse at all of them.
while i am watching you, i hear voices from my good friend patrick, in my head
and my mind is running around my head, you see i had this weird looking up disorder
and i deal with that by doing my tapestry and writing stories, on hello poetry under
johnny georgie brown and my two youtube sites aaron clayton and aaa youtube TV
and my mum wants me to rid the kidnapping stories, but it helps me more
just to look at them as stories, my tapestries are under brian allan on art colony
i am hearing my dead dad saying i am a kid now brian, cause i believe in reincarnation
so he has just gone into his next life as jimmy barnes's granddaughter betty campbell
i want to ignore everything and keep my past in stories and art and focus on the here and now, it's hard, but i take seroquel at night serenace in the morning
i am attempting to do volunteer work at common ground, cause i feel i have a lot of ideas on how to improve this world
Hello there. So hw is it going for u!
Try covering the unsightly scrag with a soft, neutral-coloured cloth. If you still find yourself fidgeting, ask a friend to suspend you by the thumbs from a horizontal beam for the meditation period. Your depression will lift in a matter of seconds.
Mindfulness can help with anxiety and depression. It's main benefit though is the harmonious life that increases over time. It benefits others to practise mindfulness.
Non-duality is the step beyond mindfulness... also worth a look.
Authentic self is also key.
Can transcranial magnetic stimulation be a shortcut to mindfulness?
You are one heck of a cheeky devil! :D
i prefer to see dad in the here and now as betty campbell twin sister of billy and sister
of leo, i am not following her, actually i am only following it on computer legally
rather than pretending dad is still there, i know he is betty, i get these vibes
You sound as if you are a very, very harsh judge. Best wishes.
Are you a Buddhist? If so, bad advertisment for Buddhism. There are other possible motivations for choosing to publicise the therapeutic effects of meditation.
Yeah, he looks just like him haha
Too many commercials Greedy and thoughtless - given constant interruptions of viewers attending to this specific content.
Just go to NAMI take your drugs and they'll give you a pack of crayons.
I am experiencing thoughts that this presentation sucks.
