These security companies are a disgrace with their contracts want security officers to sign away their years of service without any compensation Justice Batts and the supreme court ruled that as of September 23rd 2022 security officers should be employees not contractors and be paid as such with time and half after forty hours work week and all other benefits yet the security companies didn't start paying until April 1st without giving security officers any retroactive payment they breach the court ruling some companies not paying over the officers NIS housing trust and health insurance deductions they behave like they are a law unto themselves the minister of labour and the ministry not dealing fairly with the security officers so am asking Prime Minister Holness to step in and deal with this issue of the almost thirty thousand security officers because when a government doesn't see to it that workers get fair and just treatment that government normally lose the next election remember security officers and their family votes too some officers are currently taken off duty because they don't sign the dubious contract it's time for the Prime Minister intervention because security officers can lock down the country and it will happen very soon most businesses won't open their doors without security officers present on location
