I would love for them to bring back the limited to 1 event. It was more challenging for players to build their decks since most meta decks play 2-3 copies of cards.
I was actually thinking of an event where the player builds a deck, but can’t have more than 2 copies of the same card. Basically most things are Semi-Limited. Only limit staples and ban the most toxic / cards that make only the opponent unable to play. Or the most unplayable event imaginable and have to have 1 of every attribute and type in their deck. Including the different types of spells and traps. Just call it the Jank event.
I would love events with pre-build decks, for example Weevil vs Rex Raptor Or Dice vs Coin, however Konami should make Rhyme take 6000 points of damage everytime with Dice Jar because why not
Hands down the best even I've participated in was the N and R only decks. For the most part, it was very balanced and gave light to underappreciated cards.
Honestly I'm surprised Konami has not added a tag team mode. There were several tag duels in the anime so the fact it has yet to carry over into the actual game is mind boggling.
Coding. They have to factor in the cards that both players use and in terms of who goes in what turn order. Is it a team turn? Normal turns but the ally’s can react to certain card effects for one another. And what about life points? Shared? Separate? I know these questions may have obvious answers to us, but they would throughly be checked by those developing said tag mode.
i get coding that but thats extermly easy to do, like really easy someone coded a mod for duel links i beilvbe that made it 5 car field, only can be played with friends, and someone did tag and it worked, i get dl is diff than master duel, but master duel is getting tons of things that are more powerful than a tag duel format@@TechnicSky
Because people miss Tag Force and how even Duel Links had fun tag team modes... okay those modes involved you playing against an AI team with your tag team AI, but that was half the fun. Imagine if you were given event decks and were given the tag team mode! All the cards for the event would be preprogramed, you could see how well the servers and systems could deal with four players and the limited card selection you gave them... and then if it worked you could have a real one!
A format based on certain eras so you can enjoy a different format or change up which meta crashing decks you run into! YES! I mean if they are going to have even old school yugioh cards be left as UR when they are utterly useless in the modern format... then give some legacy formats for them to be a permanent stable to give VARIETY to players rather than randomly checking if the latest event or lobby actually has the same legacy format or 'hobby deck' as they think or want it to be!
Drytron could be countered by DD Crow and moreso Cycle Reader but the downside is they suck vs Exosister. Overall it wasn't a huge issue since Dark was very much overall stronger with Branded, Tear, and Danger Darkworld decks. When i finished the Dark Side and played Trickstars for the Light, all i saw were those decks and Blackwings 💀 Edit: and Lab, so so much Lab

Welcome to masterduel meta, Danger Darkworld isn’t that dangerous cuz they’re all running an incomplete version of a darkworld deck, and Light has OTK Valkyrie, and most of the negate decks were light decks
I found the event pretty terrible, it was way more focused on either going first or playing a deck that could otk on turn 2, the back and forths became allot worse in the event, and things like blackwing pretty hard to stop, labyrinth was surprisingly bad in the event probably because of the absence of cooclock. And overall just felt like it was worse than the normal metta. I actually went back to ranked just to have some fun with different decks.
My idea of “perfect” event is a time machine event where the cards that are allowed to be used are from certain eras and you can choose which era you want to play in and you’re only allowed to play in that
I played Lightsworn throughout the event and had a ton of fun milling. Nuking the field with JD never gets old. I also stole a few undeserved wins with Honest.
I like the events not only because you can farm for gems easily but sometimes you don't run into meta decks but with the recent events it feels the same as playing ranked. I usually use my Galaxy Eyes deck for events because that's one of favorite archtypes to play for fun but it's a chore playing through Labyrynth, Blackwing, Tear, and Branded in this event.
Too true. If it isn't a meta deck then it's a deck that drags you out by waiting 3-5 minutes for the enemy to finish playing their turn all because you didn't get the one hand trap needed to stop them... or you run into an annoying deck that clears your entire hand out by banishing it all in a single turn.
I think more archetype events would be nice. Dragons and warriors Fiends and Spellcasters Beasts and Machines I wilould also say that events with "format" type limits would be cool as well for sure. They could probably find away to keep as many cards as possible within that formats kind of time frame too. 5d's era, GX and all that.
Those are types, not archetypes(archetypes are like, dark magician cards, blue eyes cards, etc) but I get what your going for, and it would be really cool!

You, Seereax and Sam got me interested into going back to Master Duel and during that time I had fun. Whenever we have to fill out a survey, I always tell Konami to make a Duelist Kingdom event or something similar to what we both want and so far nothing like that has happened.
I think this event is alright! I switched between light and dark using my blue eyes deck and Blackwing decks respectively. Haven't had that many issues with it.
Score doesnt mean anything, I'll be honest. IT just means more people chose to still play branded/Tear. Regardless of which attribute you choose, it's still not a fun mode.
The format thing that we keep talking abt is probably the best step in the right direction, but something that I feel like we we haven’t talked abt yet is the introduction to the TOURNAMENT MODE THAT REVEALED LIKE A YEAR AGO. Like we could literally have format tournaments if they do this right, but no, we haven’t seen anything abt tournament mode since the announcement of this game.
Damn I didn't know the event was that bad😂 Ngl I've been liking it since i haven't ran into ANY of the opponents you've been talking about. All of my opponents have been the loaner decks or decks that aren't that strong. I also used the loaner decks (I'm team dark) and just had fun. I didn't know it was this bad 💀

I enjoy this event with my questionable DM deck until today, just spent an hour running into decks that locked me out completely. I think events need there own ban list that balances both sides to make them more player friendly then ranked.
Despite running into season 1 meta decks this event was fun for me, it made me actually improvise and make my own deck from scratch and actually win with it which I did! I slapped together a DARK Odd-eyes and wow I'm shocked I was able to clear the whole event just with that deck.
A battle city event with loaner decks from the series would be pretty cool, but in the sense of formats being added, the dynamic with Ranked/Casual would be weird due with how many players would stick with the formats than focus on meta. It would be fun, don't get me wrong, but i'd hate to be the one managing all of that
Also, in light of having Effect Veiler for lights, a LOT of people forget what darks are available (D.D. Crow, Dimension Shifter, etc.). But I just ran a Destiny HERO deck where my opponent just doesn't get a turn, but when tf was Runik/Magical Musketeers a thing😭?
I'm playing Blue-Eyes in this event and so far it's alright, I win a lot but I also lose quite some, especially if I don't have ghost ogre, imperm or effect veiler in my hand. Love royal decree against labyrinth and evenly saves a lot. That bug you have I have that as well sometimes on playstation, I always have to restart my game when that happens, but works fine after restarting.
I am fairly new to MD, and this event did not seem horrible to me. I was annonying going against lights since they would always Nib my scuffed D/D/D combos, but it was fun to make that deck and try to work around a new playstyle.
I dont think this was the best event but i enjoyed this event more, my phantom knights deck and galaxy eyes deck have been very fun going second in breaking boards, and the thankfulness i feel from knowing the opponent most likely has no handtraps let's me play for fun.
My Dogmatika deck is actually doing pretty good in the Light arena. Not the best because I'm missing a few good cards, but I get to keep all of the staples at least.
Apart from a few nightmarish run-ins, I've actually had a lot of fun running a pure Danger! Deck, even making a Utopia player with 1 mat Zeus and two 1 mat Harbingers on the field scoop by just drawing and passing with my single defense-mode Ogopogo I summoned turn 1. They couldn't out me because I just didn't give them the material to, and it was so funny watching my turn one compromise of a board just win me the game
I really want a goat tier draft event, the duels you and Deion do are dope and i would love to see what people build and what luck they had. once you pull packs thats your locked card pool no starting over for the optimal set
i commented on the other video you spoke on this issue it happens to me as well during recordings and streams ive had multiple win streaks lost because of the weird server issue and for ppl in the comments no its not a nat type issue for other platforms or a internet connection issue .. its annoying to not load in the server lose a streak or get set back on the amount of wins to rank up reset just to load in with a bad hand or the same issue the next game, not a back to back issue but a annoying one for sure
I feel like a Unite or YuJo event where you pick 2-3 decks that you have, and your opponent does as well, then each player is given one of those 6 decks randomly. So you might get one of your decks, OR you might get one of your opponents
This event was good for the first few hours when it launched and you actually played against decks of the opposite attribute - you could play stuff like dark ruler or raiden in your dark deck to counter exo/drytron’s strong bosses, or play additional backrow hate in your light deck for lab. It didn’t take long for the whole game to crash and from there they just grouped everyone together (they said they prioritised matches with the other attribute, but it was almost 50/50 for me). I would love a custom ruleset implemented to the game of yugioh itself for a festival - something like a 5-summons-per-turn rule. To stop degeneracy, you’d need a small selection of cards (maybe like 25 archetypes total + a few handpicked staples) where all archetypes left legal typically summon a million times per turn under normal rules. Making combo decks choose between either getting resources into rotation for a later turn or putting up a singular disruption would make for more skill-based games that would bare slightly more resemblance to mana-based card games - for example, dragon link would have to choose between seals pass (a bounce to hand + a free summon from deck on opponents turn which is strong vs opponents monsters but weak to boardbreakers), a borreload savage dragon with only one negate attached (counters any boardbreaker, but can be outed via monsters) or some niche hard-to-out monster that never sees play usually but proves strong in a format where biding time and gathering resources for a big push later on is crucial.

My competition as a Dark World user was primarily Starry Night Dragon and Runicks but I've enjoyed the mode overall! Against constantly toxic decks though, no fun at all. I get it.
Honestly we just need like 8 stable good events repeated in a random order every year & 4 experimental events for the other months. Stable events for me would be: Format events, N/R fest, Limit 1 fest, Extra Zero fest, Gambling (Doto) Fest, No URs Fest, Anime Only Fest, etc...
This event has been fine for me (aside from randomly not matching anyone in a minute and returning to lobby). I'm enjoying it waaaayy more than the Fiend/Fairy Event (Labyrinth Fest), or the XYZ Event (Stealth Kragen Fest) or most of the other special events. I've seen much more of a variety here.
it was decent so long as i wasn't running into Labryth, or Blackwings that set up negates with reh hot archfeind, but i was mainly running a dragon link Borrel deck. struggled a lot more light side cause i was running a un optimal Cipher deck.
I almost did Drytron for the light side, but decided against it, because I didn't want to see people scoop the moment one of them got summoned. So At first I was running Exosister Thunder Dragons, just using the Thunder Dragons as mill and a means to get another big monster on board, and ABC Cyber Dragons. Without the Chimeratech, I'd say they are less op. Just an aggressive machine deck where your best board is ABC Buster Cannon plus Cyber Dragon Infinity.
My perfect game mode is like if you took 10 of the regular card packs or something specific if the other agrees then you fight with them, like a draft but its so random to the point anything can happen
I have 2 events I like the sound of; Locked into either pre built decks or archetypes. Also it would be fun to see an event where your monsters can only have 1 line of text effects
The biggest thing for me is how community made projects have built amazing programs that add soooo much more than Konami has ever added in a game in a long time. I am also not here to say if they are right or wrong for existing, but not acknowledging takes context out of what konami could do. Community made projects offer such an amazing amount of customizable options that would benefit players and content creators. You can host your own choice of what banlists to use, tag modes, boss modes, challenge modes, even modes like 1v2 or 2v3. That's not even including when programs have put cards with all versions of it. For example they put card of sanctity with both anime effect and tcg effect. The possibilities are just far more in free community made projects that to me it feels like Konami always gives the bare minimum. VR YUGIOH (you don't need vr btw to play it) is more basic, but even that has the monsters come out of the card. Even Konami's previous game Legacy of the duelist has a summoning video for ace monsters, and not just a gif of the card being played and just yeeting itself to the opponent when attacking. I say all this when communities don't have the resources that Konami does. I love yugioh, but i am super tired of nothing but dueling simulators with a whole bunch of restrictions. They could even just buy or hire community members or their projects.
Would've been very nice if it was strictly Light players vs. Dark players. Being able to build specifically to counter the other attribute would have been cool.
An Raid type event where people play against a CPU controlled deck and everyone tries to get a certain amount of wins together would be fun to change it up
Yeah, I'm not gonna lie when I first saw this event when I started up the game. I was so hype, I was ready. Unfortunately, I didn't realize how many of my cards in my favorite deck were not light or dark, so I hopped it with a altered Dark Magician deck and have been going through it. Side note, I've also experienced that same bug. I didn't know it counts a loss on rank, and I've never had to go to the title screen that many times, like doing it once works for me.
So, i have thought about this for a while. I think some of the problems this game has ``can`` be fixed. I honestly think making a draft of sorts would be amazing, be it around 5D`s for example. Not only would that help newer players learn how to for example fusion/link/XYZ/syncro summon, it also would mean they wont be required to own all the important cards (that they most likely do not all have anyway) It would also get rid of the issue that players have with MAXX C, and other annoying cards, and facing the same 2-5 meta decks every single duel. Konami wont have to ban them. But these cards simply do not exists in drafts. So thats not a problem either. Also they can go even more crazy and make 3-5 drafts set all during different era`s, maybe one around Duelist Kingdom, another around 5D`s era, and have focus around syncro, or fusion for example so that its both a learning experience for new players, and experienced players also can get their enjoyment out of it. A draft mode honestly fixes alot of critisism and issues players are having with MD currently, and it solves pretty much all of them.
Another problem I've dealt with in Duel Links and sometimes in Master Duel is that the Konami logo just randomly pops up and puts me at the title screen.
Yugiho Masterduel needs a "special rules" ranked, where each 3 weeks change their banlist, like no spell cards, or only level five or higher monsters, or only warrior monsters, no cards limit per deck etc.
I like the common and rare event as well as the limited one. For this event I used black wings the whole time. For hand traps I used skull master or something it’s basically call by the grave but with a monster
Duelist kingdom, all the OG cards only and we can used banned cards for fun (we still have to sacrifice for tributes) and we have starchips gambling, and we get to duel an AI Pegasus betting 10 SC.
Formats could bring in so many players into the game. They could even add a quick duel format in which you only have 1 or 2 minutes a turn. It would be pretty interesting since decks that take 10 minutes for a turn wouldn't be found in such a format. Different ways to play the game really would bring in more players.
It is a fun concept. I've been trying find a deck to play in the event. Dark , a pile fusion deck. Light , melodies. I loved melodies in duel links and was hoping they was playable in master duel but not lol.
light:more access to interruptions.dark:access to the majority of the good cards in yugioh.and even more,in decks like orcust mixed with phantom knights(while grass is still at 2) the dark attribute actually has a huge advantage.and even without grass,tearlaments combo well with this mix,hell i actually tricked a number of labrynth players into choosing fusion with their dimension barrier,while my extra deck was nothing but links and xyz lol
Rhyme I actually put this kind of event for the last event survey so I feel they at least listened to me. "My exact word were, "I want an event were duelists can select a team and compete for points" so they might actually be paying attention to those surveys. The next Idea for an event is no extra deck, no pendulum and no ritual monsters. Hopefully this can make more creative decks and we can get stuff like monarchs to be viable in the event.
I think they should do a new format that limits activation (such as special summons, monster effect, spells, traps, and hand traps) to 7-10 cards. I think this'll slow a bit down plus be easier for new players to join and people can still get their combos without being unbeatable
@@Honest_Mids_Masher I do agree with you that there is still problems with it and some cards will definitely benefit it while others is a major crutch. This was my thoughts of combining old school Yu-Gi-Oh with modern and this would be a good starting point and be easier for new players plus not have to wait for your opponent 15 min - 1 hour on their first turn just so you can't do anything, this part in my opinion is what killing Yu-Gi-Oh and stopping new people from playing it. I know it did for me because that what I thought modern Yu-Gi-Oh was all about.
Personally, I'd love to see a duelist kingdom style tournament put together for OG yugioh and current yugioh. Where in which you would battle online and bet star chips to rank up into the next duelist pool until the best OG player and best modern player are left and duel each other for champion
Idk, I had a decent time with the event playing a Blue-Eyes Lightsworn deck. But then again, I love mill decks. I actually really liked the attribute 4 event because lights and darks especially are just too common in the meta.
Honestly the best thing they can do is what you said, support other formats(GOAT, Highlander and Edison) with their own respective ban-lists. This is the best decision they could make as they’d be potentially bringing back old and new players.
I queued up against Ben Kei OTK five times in a row during this event. It was... fun. I honestly didn't mind the event too much and prefer it over the current ranked grind. It allows me to get my dailies done without going into that hell as well. Also, I predominantly play on Playstation and get that same bug, but I've never got it a single game on PC. I also have no idea as to what causes it. Like I can duel 2 hours straight on PC and not get it, but it's like 1/3 duels on Playstation that I experience it.
Honestly I dunno about other events but this one should've been loaner decks only, and increase the amount of loaner decks to like 10 or 15 each, would make it so much more fun to play, since a lot of the dark decks just work almost exactly as they work in ranked, like labyrinth for example, it's pretty much with no changes

Honestly when I was dueling, aside from lab on the dark side, I had to deal with runick and it of course wasn't fun when playing DM. I just want a fun event like limit 1 or the N/R event. THOSE were actually fun
I feel like the biggest issue in the game is just pure lack of care or consideration. I am a huge fan of the anime and wish they would make different modes for casual players. Hot take imagine a mode where you could only use cards from a specific generation and use the retained and support cards for the anime archetypes I feel like that would be interesting.
We would actually have a casual mode if casual wasn't invaded by a bunch of sweats playing meta in casual for no goddamn reason. Maybe making an actual "trial mode" to test out decks you intend to use in ranked could be better for people just trying to play other randos running low-power decks in casual
I've been only running the premade psy-frame deck. It's not great, but it's less bricky to me than the other premades so far. I have enough frustration dealing with Blackwings, Branded, and Dragon-Links that I couldn't imagine trading that for Drytrons.
I like this event. I don't really run into a lot of decks that take 10 minute turns and I finally get to use Infernities and Blackwings without getting murdered.
An idea that I have that might too difficult for them to program into the game, is an archetype event. Where you set an archetype to make before making a deck, and you can only use cards in that archetype. So if you choose E-heroes, you cannot use any vision heroes as support, but some cards that fit into multiple archetypes can be used in all archetypes it is part of. Like 'performapal odd-eyes synchron' for example can be used in performapals, odd-eyes and synchrons. obviously some archetypes have to be with others to work, like synchrons, synchro warriors and stardust for example but otherwise you could make a cool event that mirrors the animes a bit with this idea. Any thoughts?

I wilould also say that events with "format" type limits would be cool as well for sure. They could probably find away to keep as many cards as possible within that formats kind of time frame too. 5d's era, GX and all that.
Those are types, not archetypes(archetypes are like, dark magician cards, blue eyes cards, etc) but I get what your going for, and it would be really cool!

You, Seereax and Sam got me interested into going back to Master Duel and during that time I had fun. Whenever we have to fill out a survey, I always tell Konami to make a Duelist Kingdom event or something similar to what we both want and so far nothing like that has happened.

I think this event is alright! I switched between light and dark using my blue eyes deck and Blackwing decks respectively. Haven't had that many issues with it.
A draft format or a loaner deck format (Maybe with multiple copies of a structure deck) might be pretty nice to add.
Rhyme is acting like dark is completely shafted when the score is 57% to 43% in favor of dark.
Score doesnt mean anything, I'll be honest. IT just means more people chose to still play branded/Tear. Regardless of which attribute you choose, it's still not a fun mode.
For real playing as Light, dark decks are way more toxic in this event, I went with Blue Eyes/Dogmatika and I actually had fun playing the event.
The format thing that we keep talking abt is probably the best step in the right direction, but something that I feel like we we haven’t talked abt yet is the introduction to the TOURNAMENT MODE THAT REVEALED LIKE A YEAR AGO. Like we could literally have format tournaments if they do this right, but no, we haven’t seen anything abt tournament mode since the announcement of this game.

All of my opponents have been the loaner decks or decks that aren't that strong. I also used the loaner decks (I'm team dark) and just had fun. I didn't know it was this bad 💀

I enjoy this event with my questionable DM deck until today, just spent an hour running into decks that locked me out completely. I think events need there own ban list that balances both sides to make them more player friendly then ranked.
I would create an event called Vanilla. It would have No Effect Monsters (Including old cards too), No New Cards, and simple trap/spell cards.
I want an event with no effect monsters. Just normal monsters with spells and trap cards.
Despite running into season 1 meta decks this event was fun for me, it made me actually improvise and make my own deck from scratch and actually win with it which I did! I slapped together a DARK Odd-eyes and wow I'm shocked I was able to clear the whole event just with that deck.
A battle city event with loaner decks from the series would be pretty cool, but in the sense of formats being added, the dynamic with Ranked/Casual would be weird due with how many players would stick with the formats than focus on meta. It would be fun, don't get me wrong, but i'd hate to be the one managing all of that
Also, in light of having Effect Veiler for lights, a LOT of people forget what darks are available (D.D. Crow, Dimension Shifter, etc.). But I just ran a Destiny HERO deck where my opponent just doesn't get a turn, but when tf was Runik/Magical Musketeers a thing😭?
I'm playing Blue-Eyes in this event and so far it's alright, I win a lot but I also lose quite some, especially if I don't have ghost ogre, imperm or effect veiler in my hand. Love royal decree against labyrinth and evenly saves a lot.
That bug you have I have that as well sometimes on playstation, I always have to restart my game when that happens, but works fine after restarting.
I am fairly new to MD, and this event did not seem horrible to me. I was annonying going against lights since they would always Nib my scuffed D/D/D combos, but it was fun to make that deck and try to work around a new playstyle.
I dont think this was the best event but i enjoyed this event more, my phantom knights deck and galaxy eyes deck have been very fun going second in breaking boards, and the thankfulness i feel from knowing the opponent most likely has no handtraps let's me play for fun.
Two events in the row that labyrinth dominates in was CRAZY. I never wanna see my opponent set 3 and pass again
My Dogmatika deck is actually doing pretty good in the Light arena. Not the best because I'm missing a few good cards, but I get to keep all of the staples at least.
The event was kind of fun. I played dark and hated running into Exosister and Dogmatika (especially since my deck relied on the extra deck)
What I liked about this event was that I had to think outside of the box to make a dark deck, so I used a mix of time. Thief and dark magician.
Ive just been running blackwings this event and just been swinging in with arc rebellion for big damage. Easiest way to end a duel quickly
Apart from a few nightmarish run-ins, I've actually had a lot of fun running a pure Danger! Deck, even making a Utopia player with 1 mat Zeus and two 1 mat Harbingers on the field scoop by just drawing and passing with my single defense-mode Ogopogo I summoned turn 1. They couldn't out me because I just didn't give them the material to, and it was so funny watching my turn one compromise of a board just win me the game
I really want a goat tier draft event, the duels you and Deion do are dope and i would love to see what people build and what luck they had. once you pull packs thats your locked card pool no starting over for the optimal set
Ive had an ok amount of fun with this event, I even adjusted my Dark Magician deck a bit to include Dark Magician of Chaos.
i commented on the other video you spoke on this issue it happens to me as well during recordings and streams ive had multiple win streaks lost because of the weird server issue and for ppl in the comments no its not a nat type issue for other platforms or a internet connection issue .. its annoying to not load in the server lose a streak or get set back on the amount of wins to rank up reset just to load in with a bad hand or the same issue the next game, not a back to back issue but a annoying one for sure

I feel like a Unite or YuJo event where you pick 2-3 decks that you have, and your opponent does as well, then each player is given one of those 6 decks randomly. So you might get one of your decks, OR you might get one of your opponents
This event was good for the first few hours when it launched and you actually played against decks of the opposite attribute - you could play stuff like dark ruler or raiden in your dark deck to counter exo/drytron’s strong bosses, or play additional backrow hate in your light deck for lab. It didn’t take long for the whole game to crash and from there they just grouped everyone together (they said they prioritised matches with the other attribute, but it was almost 50/50 for me).
I would love a custom ruleset implemented to the game of yugioh itself for a festival - something like a 5-summons-per-turn rule. To stop degeneracy, you’d need a small selection of cards (maybe like 25 archetypes total + a few handpicked staples) where all archetypes left legal typically summon a million times per turn under normal rules. Making combo decks choose between either getting resources into rotation for a later turn or putting up a singular disruption would make for more skill-based games that would bare slightly more resemblance to mana-based card games - for example, dragon link would have to choose between seals pass (a bounce to hand + a free summon from deck on opponents turn which is strong vs opponents monsters but weak to boardbreakers), a borreload savage dragon with only one negate attached (counters any boardbreaker, but can be outed via monsters) or some niche hard-to-out monster that never sees play usually but proves strong in a format where biding time and gathering resources for a big push later on is crucial.

My competition as a Dark World user was primarily Starry Night Dragon and Runicks but I've enjoyed the mode overall! Against constantly toxic decks though, no fun at all. I get it.
Honestly we just need like 8 stable good events repeated in a random order every year & 4 experimental events for the other months.
Stable events for me would be: Format events, N/R fest, Limit 1 fest, Extra Zero fest, Gambling (Doto) Fest, No URs Fest, Anime Only Fest, etc...

I play on my switch and experience the server issue matchmaking glitch all the time. It’s not just pc.
This event has been fine for me (aside from randomly not matching anyone in a minute and returning to lobby). I'm enjoying it waaaayy more than the Fiend/Fairy Event (Labyrinth Fest), or the XYZ Event (Stealth Kragen Fest) or most of the other special events. I've seen much more of a variety here.
Man when the events first came out they were fun like the fusion one and limit one and n/r those some of my favorite

I'm taking break of playing Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel but if they release a Tag Duel event I will jump right back in.
it was decent so long as i wasn't running into Labryth, or Blackwings that set up negates with reh hot archfeind, but i was mainly running a dragon link Borrel deck. struggled a lot more light side cause i was running a un optimal Cipher deck.
I almost did Drytron for the light side, but decided against it, because I didn't want to see people scoop the moment one of them got summoned. So At first I was running Exosister Thunder Dragons, just using the Thunder Dragons as mill and a means to get another big monster on board, and ABC Cyber Dragons. Without the Chimeratech, I'd say they are less op. Just an aggressive machine deck where your best board is ABC Buster Cannon plus Cyber Dragon Infinity.

My perfect game mode is like if you took 10 of the regular card packs or something specific if the other agrees then you fight with them, like a draft but its so random to the point anything can happen

The biggest thing for me is how community made projects have built amazing programs that add soooo much more than Konami has ever added in a game in a long time. I am also not here to say if they are right or wrong for existing, but not acknowledging takes context out of what konami could do. Community made projects offer such an amazing amount of customizable options that would benefit players and content creators. You can host your own choice of what banlists to use, tag modes, boss modes, challenge modes, even modes like 1v2 or 2v3. That's not even including when programs have put cards with all versions of it. For example they put card of sanctity with both anime effect and tcg effect. The possibilities are just far more in free community made projects that to me it feels like Konami always gives the bare minimum. VR YUGIOH (you don't need vr btw to play it) is more basic, but even that has the monsters come out of the card. Even Konami's previous game Legacy of the duelist has a summoning video for ace monsters, and not just a gif of the card being played and just yeeting itself to the opponent when attacking. I say all this when communities don't have the resources that Konami does. I love yugioh, but i am super tired of nothing but dueling simulators with a whole bunch of restrictions. They could even just buy or hire community members or their projects.
A "time trip 200X" event would be nice, allowing only cards released up to that year, or maybe released in a designed interval of time
Would've been very nice if it was strictly Light players vs. Dark players. Being able to build specifically to counter the other attribute would have been cool.

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie when I first saw this event when I started up the game. I was so hype, I was ready. Unfortunately, I didn't realize how many of my cards in my favorite deck were not light or dark, so I hopped it with a altered Dark Magician deck and have been going through it.
Side note, I've also experienced that same bug. I didn't know it counts a loss on rank, and I've never had to go to the title screen that many times, like doing it once works for me.
So, i have thought about this for a while. I think some of the problems this game has ``can`` be fixed.
I honestly think making a draft of sorts would be amazing, be it around 5D`s for example.
Not only would that help newer players learn how to for example fusion/link/XYZ/syncro summon, it also would mean they wont be required to own all the important cards (that they most likely do not all have anyway)
It would also get rid of the issue that players have with MAXX C, and other annoying cards, and facing the same 2-5 meta decks every single duel.
Konami wont have to ban them. But these cards simply do not exists in drafts. So thats not a problem either.
Also they can go even more crazy and make 3-5 drafts set all during different era`s, maybe one around Duelist Kingdom, another around 5D`s era, and have focus around syncro, or fusion for example so that its both a learning experience for new players, and experienced players also can get their enjoyment out of it.
A draft mode honestly fixes alot of critisism and issues players are having with MD currently, and it solves pretty much all of them.

Playing light in this event let me learn that Lyna the Light Charmer can search out Nibiru.
Another problem I've dealt with in Duel Links and sometimes in Master Duel is that the Konami logo just randomly pops up and puts me at the title screen.
Yugiho Masterduel needs a "special rules" ranked, where each 3 weeks change their banlist, like no spell cards, or only level five or higher monsters, or only warrior monsters, no cards limit per deck etc.

I like the common and rare event as well as the limited one. For this event I used black wings the whole time. For hand traps I used skull master or something it’s basically call by the grave but with a monster
didn't struggle at all with exosisters unless i came across a blackwing that won the coin toss and chose to go first lol
Duelist kingdom, all the OG cards only and we can used banned cards for fun (we still have to sacrifice for tributes) and we have starchips gambling, and we get to duel an AI Pegasus betting 10 SC.
Shadow Game event: you win you get a ton of gems, you lose your account gets deleted
Formats could bring in so many players into the game. They could even add a quick duel format in which you only have 1 or 2 minutes a turn. It would be pretty interesting since decks that take 10 minutes for a turn wouldn't be found in such a format. Different ways to play the game really would bring in more players.
It is a fun concept. I've been trying find a deck to play in the event. Dark , a pile fusion deck. Light , melodies. I loved melodies in duel links and was hoping they was playable in master duel but not lol.
light:more access to interruptions.dark:access to the majority of the good cards in yugioh.and even more,in decks like orcust mixed with phantom knights(while grass is still at 2) the dark attribute actually has a huge advantage.and even without grass,tearlaments combo well with this mix,hell i actually tricked a number of labrynth players into choosing fusion with their dimension barrier,while my extra deck was nothing but links and xyz lol
Rhyme I actually put this kind of event for the last event survey so I feel they at least listened to me. "My exact word were, "I want an event were duelists can select a team and compete for points" so they might actually be paying attention to those surveys. The next Idea for an event is no extra deck, no pendulum and no ritual monsters. Hopefully this can make more creative decks and we can get stuff like monarchs to be viable in the event.

I think they should do a new format that limits activation (such as special summons, monster effect, spells, traps, and hand traps) to 7-10 cards. I think this'll slow a bit down plus be easier for new players to join and people can still get their combos without being unbeatable
@@Honest_Mids_Masher I do agree with you that there is still problems with it and some cards will definitely benefit it while others is a major crutch. This was my thoughts of combining old school Yu-Gi-Oh with modern and this would be a good starting point and be easier for new players plus not have to wait for your opponent 15 min - 1 hour on their first turn just so you can't do anything, this part in my opinion is what killing Yu-Gi-Oh and stopping new people from playing it. I know it did for me because that what I thought modern Yu-Gi-Oh was all about.

Personally, I'd love to see a duelist kingdom style tournament put together for OG yugioh and current yugioh. Where in which you would battle online and bet star chips to rank up into the next duelist pool until the best OG player and best modern player are left and duel each other for champion
Idk, I had a decent time with the event playing a Blue-Eyes Lightsworn deck. But then again, I love mill decks.
I actually really liked the attribute 4 event because lights and darks especially are just too common in the meta.
Honestly the best thing they can do is what you said, support other formats(GOAT, Highlander and Edison) with their own respective ban-lists. This is the best decision they could make as they’d be potentially bringing back old and new players.
I queued up against Ben Kei OTK five times in a row during this event. It was... fun. I honestly didn't mind the event too much and prefer it over the current ranked grind. It allows me to get my dailies done without going into that hell as well. Also, I predominantly play on Playstation and get that same bug, but I've never got it a single game on PC. I also have no idea as to what causes it. Like I can duel 2 hours straight on PC and not get it, but it's like 1/3 duels on Playstation that I experience it.
Ben Kei decks are soooooooo boring. Thats the go-to deck people use in events IF they're usable.

Honestly I dunno about other events but this one should've been loaner decks only, and increase the amount of loaner decks to like 10 or 15 each, would make it so much more fun to play, since a lot of the dark decks just work almost exactly as they work in ranked, like labyrinth for example, it's pretty much with no changes

Honestly when I was dueling, aside from lab on the dark side, I had to deal with runick and it of course wasn't fun when playing DM. I just want a fun event like limit 1 or the N/R event. THOSE were actually fun
Danger dark world turbo was a MEANACE in this event, all gas all the time
I feel like the biggest issue in the game is just pure lack of care or consideration. I am a huge fan of the anime and wish they would make different modes for casual players. Hot take imagine a mode where you could only use cards from a specific generation and use the retained and support cards for the anime archetypes I feel like that would be interesting.
We would actually have a casual mode if casual wasn't invaded by a bunch of sweats playing meta in casual for no goddamn reason. Maybe making an actual "trial mode" to test out decks you intend to use in ranked could be better for people just trying to play other randos running low-power decks in casual
I've been only running the premade psy-frame deck. It's not great, but it's less bricky to me than the other premades so far. I have enough frustration dealing with Blackwings, Branded, and Dragon-Links that I couldn't imagine trading that for Drytrons.
I like this event. I don't really run into a lot of decks that take 10 minute turns and I finally get to use Infernities and Blackwings without getting murdered.
An idea that I have that might too difficult for them to program into the game, is an archetype event. Where you set an archetype to make before making a deck, and you can only use cards in that archetype. So if you choose E-heroes, you cannot use any vision heroes as support, but some cards that fit into multiple archetypes can be used in all archetypes it is part of. Like 'performapal odd-eyes synchron' for example can be used in performapals, odd-eyes and synchrons. obviously some archetypes have to be with others to work, like synchrons, synchro warriors and stardust for example but otherwise you could make a cool event that mirrors the animes a bit with this idea. Any thoughts?
