Chapter 5 in the new season updated graphics for switch and it even runs smoother but it's still 30 fps

@@R3cklessFN the day i bought a switch back in 2020 , i almost cry that day thinking that this console would give me graphics like the ps4 , i regret so much that i made my father spend huge money for a console i didnt like, DONT MAKE MY MISTAKE , invest in other thing
It's good for running Nintendo games but for third party games it sucks.

Hey there, I had this same issue and I look up some steps to take to make your game look better and thought I might be able to help you out. Here they are!
1. Switch Fortnite to the SYSTEM storage NOT to an SD card. This makes loading times faster and also helps the graphics look just a bit better along with more stable framerate.
2. Wear non flashy skins. A very simple one is to avoid wearing skins that have changing color, moving parts or physics to them. I wont lie but this one doesn't do too much for your performance however I find that in really graphical intense situations it does help a bit.
3. Resetting Fortnite. Before loading up Fortnite do a MANUAL RESET to do this hold the power button of your switch for 3 seconds until a menu pops up on screen. Then select "Power Options" and select "Reset' this one I find to actually help a lot.
4. If you don't already playing on docked mode can help too, however just like #2 this one does not help a whole lot.
5. Turning off the Mini map, the kill feed and the pickup loot stream helps as well. These settings can be found in the HUD tab of your Fortnite settings and the way these ones help is that they cut live visual update graphics. Basically these settings are constantly being updating during your gameplay like when you pick items up, when the storm is moving in your mini map and whenever someone gets a kill around the very large map.
6. Turning down your Switch brightness helps a little bit too, but this one isn't all that performance helping and more helps the battery life.
7. Keep your Fortnite updated, always having the newest updates helps a whole lot.
8. Keep your exhaust fans clean! To do this blow directly into the top of your Switch to clear dust and debris.
9. Make sure "Battery Saver" options is turn off in the Fortnite settings as this significantly downsizes your fps.
10. Playing "Zero Build" playing zero build helps a ton with the game being able to stay at a stable FPS because there are no buildings popping into
the map whenever a play places one.
That's about all the tips I can give to you I hope they help! Remember if you make ANY CHANGE at all to your game or switch be sure to do a manual reset so that your Switch can update itself as fast as possible. To do this re-read #3.

with overclock and with modpacks you can make It run at pretty stable 50-60 fps, Although overclocking is bad for the console's battery
