Hi Suroj bera, I have a doubt about mapping the efs in the first instance u have created /home/ec2-user/newdir1 with demo.txt and u written helloworld content in that but for the second instance /home/ec2-user/newdir2 but how can u see the same content of demo.txt on newdir2 bcoz u written a file on new dir1 on first instance. If I am wrong please let me know.
Hello MANO RAJA, /home/ec2-user/newdir1 or /home/ec2-user/newdir2 is a part of the particular ec2 instance. It does not have any connection with EFS. You can mount the efs in any location of the ec2 instance. Mounting EFS under /home/ec2-user/newdir1 means the content of EFS will be there inside the /home/ec2-user/newdir1 location of ec2 instance. Now for the second instance, we are keeping the EFS content inside /home/ec2-user/newdir2 location of ec2 instance. The directory does not matter for mounting. You can mount the EFS to any directory of the ec2 instance. Hope this clears your doubt. If you still have any doubts, please connect me on LinkedIn. I will be happy to help you. Keep learning. 🤞
Hi Yagnya, you can unmount the EFS from any of those EC2 instances at any time without loosing the data. Hence you can consider this as temporary mount. 😊

@@surojbera thanks for the brief information.
Do you have to allow ingress port 2049 for efs-sg @ 04:55 ?
Yes Ahmed. In the inbound rule of the EFS security group, port 2049 needs to be opened from the EC2 security group.
Is it permanent mount or temporary mount
Hi Yagnya, you can unmount the EFS from any of those EC2 instances at any time without loosing the data. Hence you can consider this as temporary mount. 😊
@@surojbera Okay thank you
