Bit of info to help you Jody of XG The group was formed by Xgalx, a subsidiary of Avex. The group is composed of seven members: Jurin, Chisa, Hinata, Juria, Cocona, Maya, and Harvey. They made their debut on March 18, 2022, with the release of the digital single "Tippy Toes".

Thank you for your first XG reaction. A bit of an executive summary for you and your subscribers ...
XG is short for Xtraordinary Girls, their label is XGALX, which was more or less specifically created for them. Their debut was last year, technically they are still rookies. They are seven Japanese, age 18 to 21 as of now, who are based in South Korea and trained with the KPop idol methods ... to then perform NOT K-Pop, but instead mostly western style 90s/early 2000s rap and R&B oriented tracks. *Modern Old School*, if this makes sense - a quite unique concept. Their main songs are all completely in English. They also venture into 90s/y2k pop and club sounds, and their rapline and vocalists also have separate series showcasing them specifically, XG Tape and XG Vox respectively. Officially there are 4 rappers (Jurin, Cocona, Maya, Harvey) and 3 vocalists (Chisa, Juria, Hinata), but the rappers all can sing as well. XG is quite versatile and covers a large spectrum of genres, but it is all rooted in 90s/y2k style. No two songs sound alike.
As for New Dance ... it is part of their first mini album New DNA, and there is a bit of a backstory to it. Actually XG are Aliens on a visit, and they explore Earth by - learning a new dance in this case. If you watch closely, there are several sci-fi elements in the video. So, you don't see a dance new for you - but since they are aliens, all our dances are new for them.
Recommended watching:
Winter Without You (the latest release - pure 90s R&B X-Mas song. This is a MUST WATCH)
Shooting Star (sort of their signature song)
Left Right (a more R&B-ish song that got them on the Rolling Stones magazine's Best 100 Songs of 2023 list)
XG Tape #2 as introduction to the rappers (So you have rapping pals? Invite them over, but prepare to pick up their jaws from the floor. I'm not even kidding. Another MUST WATCH.)
XG Vox #5 as introduction to the vocalists
