- Lil tiny Teeny is just going about minding her own business, just leave her alone ! All the other babies are at least twice her size though.......😫
How can you resist her? Oh my gosh that precious little baby. I'm so proud of you. I couldn't do it. I'm visualizing feeding stations, but then the balance of nature is ruined and her chances are even less. I love this channel because there is no intervention . No talking.. Dr. Goodall would be proud. Stay safe. ♡
I never see Teeny playing like the other babies. She spends all her time looking for something to eat.

Poor little Love! It is so heartbreaking to see her go hungry! Anything on the road is minuscule. Arroz, I understand. There should be something you can do, but I really don't know what. You have already helped them a lot. If Teeny were to die, I will be cutting Tina to shreds in my mind though. She has such a special little daughter. The least she can do is let her find, & eat her own food.
I agree. Tina is on the VERY bottom of my list. Teeny forages for HER food only to have her glutton mom take it away!
Stoic yet determined, that's our Teeny. The cards are stacked against her yet she perseveres.
Elite Soulfly so true! She has stagnated in her development. And with her lack of food her little tummy won’t hold much. Therefore she needs to eat much more often since her mom steals any stash she has in her pouches. And where is her mom? Tina and Teeny should at this age of her development be almost un-separable. Poor angle has a fighting spirit and a strong will to live! I pray she makes it.
I’m so glad you said you wanted to scoop Teeny up and take her home. It helps with my guilt of thinking the same thing lol. But yeah, she deserves better. Any creature that fights that hard to stay alive at her age definitely deserves better.

Breaks my heart to see Teeny this way! She and Kailey are ABSOLUTELY my favorites! I agree Arroz. I just want to go pick her up and take her home. I never thought I'd be crying over a monkey but...Teeny has my heart and it breaks to see her this way! She should be playing without a care in the world instead she has to forage all the time.
Teeny walks so much, I sometimes think she burns more calories than she takes in.
What do you suggest a bus pass? Perhaps she could Uber with you guys

This is heartbreaking. I hate animal cruelty, but I seriously want to drop-kick Tina, for causing Teeny to suffer every single day. She is way to frail, skinny, and well, Teeny. Man, I wish I was there to feed her and keep others away while she ate.
C. S. I’m with you on Feeding Teenie , but the consequences for her eating out of turn would be dangerous. Like Tiny he was smart with his food pouches full he hid from Tina and ate his food before returning to her. Teenie doesn’t have the strength to climb and hid to eat her hard earned goodies. Her brother would steal from her pouches as well. Yes Tina needs to stop having babies for her own good. Teenie needs to thrive soon or will be not strong enough to be on her own. 🍼🐒🇺🇸
Mom did a great job, Teeny’s a good forager. She grows a bit more and she’ll be able to grab the food people leave.
Unfortunately, there are human mothers are that exactly like Tina that takes advantage of their children like Teeny. It is a sad to watch babies trying to fend for themselves instead of having their mom close by to still nurse her until she is at least 3 - 4 mos old. Tina seem to avoid the weaning period with Tiny and Teeny because they seem to be forage long before they are old enough.
I have to say, I'm surprised she doesn't forage on some of the leafy greens along the road. Surely, that would be better than the few crumbs she manages to scrounge. At this point, almost anything would be better than nothing at all. Too bad you can't just take her home for a couple of months to feed her and build her up enough to be released back into her troop.
I know that you are showing us video you shot back in late January now. My question is when will the Spring berries start developing? Tiny started to thrive about the time the berries were beginning to become plentiful. It would certainly be a blessing if Tina were to skip this baby season. I know that isn’t really up to Tina but given how stunted Teeny is I don’t think another baby would survive.

No interference except a treat when he can, have to let nature take its course. As sad as it may be I think we’re gonna be surprised when all this is over teeny I think is gonna surprise us all at least I’m hoping.

Teeny is tough as nails and has the perseverance of an alpha. If she was a boy she would be alpha of whatever troop she found in her adulthood, no doubt in my mind.
Awe poor baby, those other ones need disaplined by their mom. Keep safe teeny and start biting your mom's fingers when she steals your hard earned crumbs. Wish you could pick her up and feed her. Then put her down with a full stomach. Stay safe arroz.

Thank you for another wonderful video, Arroz. I see a lot of comments from people asking for you to take Teeny and I know you will never do that, nor should you. Nature is a terrible beast sometimes but one cannot save every wild animal. I appreciate that you slip Tina and others of low ranking, a little something now and then but not enough to completely discourage their natural need to forage. Teeny has every chance of surviving that can be given short of turning her into a pet and that is not something I would ever hope for when one is a wild animal. I see lots of channels on You Tube of people raising pet monkeys and for everyone there is a grieving mother monkey. What happens to those monkeys when the camera is off? You cannot have monkeys swinging around your living room when you have gone shopping. They put them into cages or play pens with the top zipped closed and leave them. What happens when they get big enough to grow their canine teeth. Monkeys have very large and sharp canine teeth. They would either have to have them removed or what really happens is they abandon them somewhere. If their canine's are removed, they are naturally aggressive around food and they will bit, regardless of how close they are to the human caring for them. People who watch and support those channels are at least partly responsible for what happens to those monkeys when they are bigger. People only want them when they are small.
I truly appreciate the good work that you do here and I hope that Teeny makes it. She is nearly past the worst of it as spring is coming on and there will be more to forage. All we can do is hope and pray for her to survive. Nature will have the final word.
Very well said. We humans have such a strong desire to step in and fix things, even if the fix is worse than the problem. It's harder for us to watch a situation like Teeny's than to DO something, anything. Probably our greatest virtue and worst fault. 🤔
They've operated their society for thousands of years and whether we like or understand their ways, it has allowed them to survive and thrive. The low rankers could leave if they wanted to, try to find another troop or start one of their own but they don't. Nature is pretty efficient so it appears their methods afford the best outcomes for even the lowest ranking. I think we humans get far more upset about the hardships of their lives than they do. It's all they've ever known and they don't seem to feel sorry for themselves. If they could understand how humans view things, they might just think we are crazy and over dramatic. 😳 😂

She walks around foraging just to have her demon of a mom to come in and snatch her up and steal everything out of her pouches. It's almost as if that's what Tina waits for, you go find the food and I'll steal it from you. That to me is a bad and greedy mom.

I have been hoping she will learn to do what Tiny did. He did not pouch much, he ate it fast and he tried to stay out of sight of Tina and her daughter. That's when Tiny really seemed to grow big enough to start fighting her off when she robbed him.

I was watching passed episode and notice that (in size) Teeny appears about the same as Dopey in the episode where he almost drowns in the tiny puddle. I believe he was about 3 or 4 weeks old at the time.
God she is so thin. There aren't rehab facilities where they help monkeys and apes get ready to be reintroduced to the wild and live-in a protected area? Or are there just too many of them and there's no need to help them?

I agree with you. A few videos ago a lot of persons criticised Tina for always scooping Teeny up when she saw Arroz Marisco. Today we saw nothing of that but that is actually something almost every Rhesus Macaque mother does. Use their babies to get food. Nothing wrong with that. Food will turn into milk for the baby.

Brian Cole it’s believed her mother doesn’t produce milk like a normal female as all her children have suffered this same way, tiny was lucky enough to make it but his path was a very hard one. Much like teeny’s.

Choikesta both her and her brother I believe are both small but she stayed really small where he has grown if I have it right in my head. They must have something hereditary or something but no one knows for sure. But here she is around 7 month old but hardly bigger than a newborn.🥰🥰🥰 she is so beautiful!!!!! I think I have her family tree correct but if I don’t I apologize now😬❤️🙏🏼✝️

I've yet to see her play with other babies, whenever shes not on mum shes looking for food, i cant believe mum takes everything she gets for herself, i know you cant feed her but if you ever get the chance give give her something.

I remember seeing tiny doing exactly this and you thinking he had something wrong with his growing as well Arroz if you go back and then the season changed and food was plentiful and he took off growing you used to even show us him climing trees thinking that there might be something wrong with his muscles you are puting to many human emotions on tina she is only doing taught behaviour as we see in teenys siblings only her mother probably was a better milk producer than tena we will never know if she was teeny wouldnt be in the position she is now !!hopefully she can make it and grow as her brother did🤞🤞🤞🤞

Sorry to say it Arroz but you've created a little monster with Tina. She'd rather hang around till you can sneak her food than to forage like her poor daughter must do only to have it stolen by her mother.
Arroz helps the low ranking and others in need. There are always several each year and he's been doing this for many years. Yet no others behave as Tina does. Also a lot of people visit Monkey Hill, including all the regular feeders and casual feeders. Blaming Arroz for Tina's behavior makes no sense at all.
Arroz's love and concern for these wonderful monkeys is plain to see and he spends a lot of time, money and effort to capture their world and share it with us. He visits when it rains, when it's freezing cold, in sweltering heat, after a tsunami and now during a worldwide pandemic. I love his videos and am very thankful for all he does for us. I'll never understand people who are quick to think the worst possible about someone who is doing such a kindness for so many people and animals.

This is the first time I've ever felt frustrated with you Mr Marisco, you had so many opportunities when teeny was all by herself🤷🏻♀️you could have put a handful of grain out for her something 🤷🏻♀️anything‼️‼️‼️I've still got a few more minutes left to watch, I had to stop watching because I couldn't see the screen because of my 😭 tears! I hope u prove me wrong and give her something before the end but to be honest it would be to little to late! You already said it yourself she's gone 200 meters, so her tiny body has put much more out then she's taking in, why why haven't you helped her? I really felt like you were /are becoming more like the VO's from Vietnam,Cambodia and India.
