Another one of the great 60's groups. They started out as "The Young Rascals" but later were just known as "The Rascals". They were considered rock & blue-eyed soul. They had a lot of hits such as "How Can I Be Sure", "I Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore", "You Better Run", "I've Been Lonely Too Long", "Good Lovin'", "People Got To Be Free", "A Beautiful Morning", "A Girl Like You", "It's Wonderful" etc.
This song perfectly captures the lazy feeling of a 60s Sunday afternoon. This song always makes me think of my late husband. This was one of his favorite songs that I sang along to for him the morning he passed away.
Probably the most "grooviest" song ever. 🥳. Actually its nearly 60 yrs old and i still love it as much as back then. Felix Cavalierie is one of the greatest singers ever. Also Eddy Brigatti on the bongo sings occasionally another great singer. Many very good songs. Good Lovin, People gotta be Free, A Beautiful Morning, Ive been lonely too Long and more. A hall of fame group and they surely deserve it. One of my favorite groups ever.
The Rascals are the evolution of the Jersey Boys (4 Seasons), who followed the original Jersey boy (Frank). As a Jersey boy, I was pleased to be in the audience at New Brunswick High School the night the Rascals first played this song in public. Felix asked us to be open to something new and different when he introduced this song that night. We were and we thought it was cool. Frank and Frankie and Felix inspired the hell out of another band of Jersey boys who're my age, and who've been killing it for nearly 50 years now.
After a life time hearing this song and thinking in the last few years that I'd figured out Leslie was probably his little daughter, I just Wikied it and found out that what he is really saying is "You and me ENDLESSLY grooving" !!!! How awesome, to finally realize what it really says !
Thank you for calling them 'The Young Rascals,' and not just 'The Rascals.'. They were 'The Young Rascals' when they made that song, so it needs to be recognized as such. Thanks!! 😊
There's another one with Sarah by the Rascals called A Girl like You they were a Master Pieces ahead of their time in a league of their own no band like them I'm a Rascal forever ❤ toyota
You just got your drivers license and you’re driving down a country road with all the windows open and looking at the beautiful sunset, and life is good.
I was 17 when this song came out. When he sings the part, "life would be ecstasy with you and me endlessly" I used to think he was singing " life would be ecstasy with you and me and Leslie" like he was singing about having a 3 way. Lol silly teenage me 😊
The Rascals (Young Rascals) were Top 40 stars. There are so many great Top 40 groups who produced timeless music in the 50’s & 60’s, but don’t get recognition because they used filler music on their LP’s. Attention to LP’s came with the spread of stereo. A side note, The Beatles became The Beatles, because they didn’t record filler songs.
My two friends and I drove around on Sunday afternoons listening to the radio, singing, talking. Putting together coins to buy gas. It was about 17 cents a gallon. A hamburger at Burger King was 16 cents. Shoney’s had skating servers. And the music.
I've been on a one-man mission to rehabilitate the word "groovy"! You could help further, Sarah, by reacting to the song The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy), by Simon&Garfunkel please. Thanx for taking me back to my early teen yrs in the mid '60s!!!
If you really like “Groovin’”, try “Summer Rain” - Johnny Rivers, “California Dreamin’” - Mamas & Papas, “Good Vibration” - Beach Boys, “The Letter” - The Box Tops, “Young Girl” - GaryPuckett & The Union Gap.
Miss Sarah it's time to educate you musically now it's time for some Tommy James and the Shondells first big hit was Hanky Panky and after Crimson and Clover and Crystal Blue Persuasion mid sixties and up. I don't want you to lose out on great music you can't go wrong with Tommy James and the Shondells ask the world life as we know it wouldn't be the same without them. Ahead of their time a group like no other. There will never be another Tommy James and the Shondells ever again 😂❤ enjoy.
I was about 7 years old when this came out, I always thought this was blacks singing this, until about 10 years ago. Please react to The Impression singing ( IF YOU HAD W CHOICE OF COLOR )
There will NEVER be another era of music like this in our lifetime. It's the only music I ever listen to 50s to mid 70s . This new noise is just noise pollution especially rap and hip-hop. In my opinion
Check out Daydream - The Lovin' Spoonful {Stereo} 1966, th-cam.com/video/HgifEMvUwWs/w-d-xo.html Another great group. The 59th street bridge song is another groovy song. pun intended.
Can a non-paying member request a reaction video too or are we on your “S” list for watching your videos for free? I would like to see you listen to CRYSTAL BLUE PERSUASION by Tommy James & The Shondells, which is similar to GROOVIN’ and from the same era. Thanks, beautiful lady. ❤
Not quite, the video is their live performance on Ed Sullivan, they never lip synced. Whoever created this video did not use the live track, but instead used the studio version.
WE NEED TO LET OUR KIDS LISTEN TO THESE GOOD OLDIES SO THEY WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN -THANKS FOR PLAYING THIS ONE
"Good Lovin'" and "People Got To Be Free" are two more of their hits. They have a rather large catalogue worthy of hearing! 😉♥

It's A Beautiful Morning...next Rascal song you have to hear 😊❤
Felix Caveliere, keyboards & lead vocalist is a musical genius. Their music is sensational.
This song perfectly captures the lazy feeling of a 60s Sunday afternoon. This song always makes me think of my late husband. This was one of his favorite songs that I sang along to for him the morning he passed away.
We who go back aways love and know these groups you have featured Ah memory lane has been opened for us.

Eddy Brigatti isn't the congas player. That's Eddie on the left singing backup. Dino Danelli is the drummer and plays the congas on this song.
The Rascals are one of my favorite groups with a great sound in every song
Terrific group with a special vocal tone that had radio hits for years in the sixties. Great to listen to!
These guys were big medicine in their day. Very popular and tons of hits. The keyboardist (Felix) had an incredibly distinctive voice. Thanks Sarah. ❤

thx to bring us these amazing musical memories.
An absolute Masterpiece!
Also "people got to be free!"
Thanks for sharing pretty lady!
This was # 1 on the Billboard charts for 4 consecutive weeks .
Finally Miss Sarah you took my advice about listening to the Rascals first major hit ❤
Back in the early 70's in my small hometown in Virginia, they would play this song in a video right before every movie.Memories. I was 11 years old.
This song sets such a mellow mood and takes me back to my youth. Great band and lovely song. Thanks Sarah ❤🙏🏼
Love this group ! Another great one from The Rascals, It's a Beautiful Morning
One of my favorite bands from back in the day.
The young rascals were a great group. You really need to check out, Good Lovin’. Live if possible.
After a life time hearing this song and thinking in the last few years that I'd figured out Leslie was probably his little daughter, I just Wikied it and found out that what he is really saying is "You and me ENDLESSLY grooving" !!!! How awesome, to finally realize what it really says !
😂😂😂
Loved seeing you enjoying this lovely song 😅
Back 2 the 60s...✌️🔊🎶
The perfect Sunday afternoon tune 😍
cruising in a mustang with girl friend by the lake and grooving in 1967 in Milwaukee, WI. This song on the radio! A piece of heaven!
this song means a lot to me. heard it everyday when i was in Vietnam. it reminded us of what was back home waiting on us........
Cute Sarah thanks for another wonderful reaction video.
Thank you for calling them 'The Young Rascals,' and not just 'The Rascals.'. They were 'The Young Rascals' when they made that song, so it needs to be recognized as such. Thanks!! 😊
You know music is great when you still know all the lyrics.
Great reaction and thanks for sharing your beautiful smile.
Loved this instant-classic the 1st time I heard it on the radio as a preteen in 1973. This masterpiece hit different.
The Young Rascals were the soundtrack of my early formative years(0-4yrs)😊
There's another one with Sarah by the Rascals called A Girl like You they were a Master Pieces ahead of their time in a league of their own no band like them I'm a Rascal forever ❤ toyota
You just got your drivers license and you’re driving down a country road with all the windows open and looking at the beautiful sunset, and life is good.
One of the altime best groups
Listen to “ Good Lovin”…🙌
Great Reaction I think I was in 8TH grade when this was on the radio 👍🙏🌹😎
Hi Ms. Sarah, The "Time Peace" album is the 1st. one that I bought and it was on Reel to Reel tape.. ♠Mr.G..
Senior year 1967 great year many bands good music
This song is timeless and you are absolutely lovely.

My favorite song is good lovin. The Gtatful Dead put their spin on it and had many expansive jams with this song. ⚡️🎸⚡️
My two friends and I drove around on Sunday afternoons listening to the radio, singing, talking. Putting together coins to buy gas. It was about 17 cents a gallon. A hamburger at Burger King was 16 cents. Shoney’s had skating servers. And the music.
Great reaction ❤
I loved your groovin to 'groovin'
Pure hit machine
Damm, we were truly blessed with the best
I wish more reactors would tune into these guys.
Anything by The Rascals is good. Please do more 😊
I've been on a one-man mission to rehabilitate the word "groovy"!

Thanx for taking me back to my early teen yrs in the mid '60s!!!
My granddaughter & I are also bringing back "GROOVY" here in Canada. It's a groovy word. 🙂
This song makes you want to be outside and enjoy the day
great music I grewup on
So chilled, you should look at Emeli Sande she's a wonderful singer songwriter Sparrow is a good start, enjoy.
Hy🥰 , have you ever listened LUCIO DALLA ? He had a voice and a personal sound that is incredible!!
Gopd choice, now listen to *It’s A Beautiful Morning* which is even better.
You gotta hear them do "Soul and Inspiration".
Birds chirping is the organ.
That is true they don't make music like that anymore
If you really like “Groovin’”, try “Summer Rain” - Johnny Rivers, “California Dreamin’” - Mamas & Papas, “Good Vibration” - Beach Boys, “The Letter” - The Box Tops, “Young Girl” - GaryPuckett & The Union Gap.

👍👍💯🔥🔥
Sweet beats ! Check out "Bitches Brew" by Miles Davis. I want to see your reaction to acid-jazz funk. Thank You.
How can I be sure?
Check out Daydream - The Lovin' Spoonful {Stereo} 1966, th-cam.com/video/HgifEMvUwWs/w-d-xo.html Another great group. The 59th street bridge song is another groovy song. pun intended.
