Depending on what you want to change it's colour whether texts or shapes, when you click it, tap the appropriate editing tool and swipe till you see 'colour + it's icon' on the appropriate editing tool. ENABLE IT AND CHOOSE YOUR PREFERRED COLOUR. I believe this would work.
