Just a heads-up: As of Aug 24, POCO X3 GT's hardware overlay was successfully merged into phh's github repository, meaning any upcoming phh-based GSI builds (including A13) starting September contains our applied overlay as well. To make it clear, this overlay contains device-specific configuration such as brightness, volume, bluetooth, display, etc. which fixes the previous vendor-specific bugs of older GSI builds.
Good, I have heard that the GSI have poor optimization in the MEDIATEK processors, I would like to ask you if you find the GSI worse optimized than the MIUI, another question would be if it gives a higher or lower score in antutu with the GSI
It depends on what gsi that you will use. Some gsi's are well maintained at properly optimized for both snapdragon and mediatek. Some needs tweaks after flashing since we are using "generic" system image (gsi) and it may "feel" worse if you don't fix it. And every gsi has its own advantages. Some gsi focuses on privacy. Some are for gaming and performance. Some are for simplicity. Some are for features and lots of customization. and some are for style and UI appearance and enhancements. I can say that still depends on user's preference. I've tried many gsi and I find stock AOSP vanilla most lightweight among the others because it only uses less than 1GB RAM for background resources by default. So for a regular user that only only use phone for normal usage like texting, calls, browsing, streaming, music, AOSP may be the best for them. For me, I choose GSI over MIUI in general because it's open source so I can do whatever costumization what I want unlike in MIUI that has a lot of restrictions, bloatware and ads. And for the antutu score, gsis have lower scores than standard because not all parameters are tested by antutu for AOSP based roms especially when rooted. And gsis are using your phone's stock kernel. We can achieve higher scores as same as miui by applying custom kernels but unfortunately no one had developed yet for x3 gt. I wouldn't rely and depend on Antutu scores because these are just a result of benchmark anyway. It really doesn't reflect the daily use feel and true capability of a phone.
Bro do you face sometimes issue of power button not locking device screen if y use fingerprint instead of your nails. There is bug on all phh based roms with devices that have fingerprint/power button combo.
I haven't encountered it yet. Maybe you are using gsi without x3 gt overlay Also, I use double tap or shake to sleep/wake my device because it is available in my rom settings. I prefer this rather than pressing power button or tapping fingerprint sensor.
Yes, there is a tool to instant unlock bootloader without waiting, but I wouldn't recommend it because according to some users, they tend to bootloop when flashing gsi if their bootloader was unlocked from instant. And yes, it would also work to 13.0.4 (for a12 GSIs), just make sure to have a backup first before you flash if something goes wrong.

There are bugs by default if you don't configure it manually in treble settings. Bugs are fixable right away after adjusting it. This is because we are using Generic System Images (GSI) that is compatible not only for X3 GT, but also meant for all brands and models (Samsung, Realme, Xiaomi, Oppo, etc.) And since it is "generic", all available settings here are also generic (for Snapdragon and Mediatek). By default, some settings may work normally in other devices but not in X3GT . Therefore, some adjustments are need in order for your phone to work properly. And bugs depends on GSI that you use. Some GSIs have almost no bug at all, like minor bugs but negligible and doesn't affect your whole system. Most of the GSIs are stable and can be used as daily driver. You may encounter: Screen flickering / autobrightness (fixable) VoLTE (fixable) Bluetooth audio (fixable) Known bugs: Call volume (AOSP mediatek issue, fixable by creating overlay) Offline charging (not yet fixed, no offline charging animation available for now)
Patch your miui stock boot.img in magisk app then flash that to your phone using platform-tools as well. For example, if you use 12.5.5 firmware for your gsi, then the patched boot.img must be from 12.5.5 too.
