It’s a shame the show never took off the way it should given that Melissa is such a great actress, season 1 was a good start but after that it kinda got stale after that all the way to the finale. There were good parts in between but as a whole supergirl was just ok
3:48 Alex stepping in when it was enough was impeccable to see. Letting her sister vent when she needed to, yet, like a balancing act, stepping in when needed. Perfect dynamics between these two.
I would honestly say that Grant’s best performance was his conversation with his Earth-2 mother. Holding back tears and cherishing every second he hears her voice was fantastic. Not to disrespect these other scenes, but I definitely respect Grant’s ability to subtly portray his feelings in that scene. Also, while I’m aware they won’t bring her back, it’s a shame Melissa likely won’t be able to portray Supergirl in the adaptation of Woman of Tomorrow. Would’ve definitely been a story worthy of her performance. Grant and Stephen also deserve some solid opportunities. Just nothing off the top of my head to give to either of them.
