This was a very educational video and helped me immensely ! I truly appreciated it . Thank you so much for the help . I had made some other diaper covers from patterns , and , boy , were they confusing ! I think I have it now thanks to you ! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I used a Size F or 3.75 mm hook to make this (its what i use for all of the youtube tutorial that say are for newborn but really aren't unless that newborn is the size of a 3 month old when born, when i do this the item usually turns out to be a perfect size for a NEWBORN- 1 month old) anyways while i was making this i had a Parents Choice size newborn diaper with me, i used it as my guide to determent if the size is right and i found that even using my smaller sized hook the cover was a little bit bigger than the diaper but not by much so I believe that it will work perfectly for when my second little girl is born in the next 2 weeks. Overall I am happy with my end product and with this tutorial and will be using it again.
To make a dc dec do your yo pull up a loop yo pull through 2 yo pull up a loop yo pull through 2 yo and pull through all 3 loops on hook. Hope this helps
I too would like the printable pattern. I'm having trouble once I get to the part once you have 20 stitches. It's hard for me to understand that part, I'm new at crochet and I'm hard of heading.
I just finished mine and I counted all my chain-ups as a stitch. it got weird doing a decrease that way, but I just sorta faked it. I think next time the easiest would be to count the chain-up, skip where you usually would put the next stitch, and continue from there, and do your decrease at the end as normal. I also agree with one of the commenters of going down a hook size (I used 3.5mm) to do this for a fresh newborn-1 month size. mine still seems a little big, but workable. Hope this helps!
+cinthia cholico No the chain does not count as a double crochet I have written out a pattern to this video :D i can crochet better by reading then I can by watching a video for some odd odd reason.
Is a very nice pattern but it is a little too big for a newborn .. I mean the standard newborn size is for a 5 to 8 lb baby and this is more of a 9 to 12 lb baby..
I am sorry, I'm sure you're a good instructor but I can't understand your accent. I got kind of far by just watching your hands but then you started moving way too fast. Disappointed
