Hence, it's not surprising that word traveled so quickly & reached his local radio station, especially if you live in a small to medium size city. & the local news & radio stations are often keenly aware & interested in what's going on within their communities, who's doing what, etc, especially if it's any local celebs, organization, or some kind of event.
