    The Resmed website says "ResMed has observed that prolonged and repeated use of an ozone device may eventually cause internal damage to a ResMed machine, leading to an increase in motor noise. The ResMed limited warranty excludes damage to ResMed machines caused by use of ozone devices.

    • @affinityhm

      You may prefer the Lumin Cleaner. No ozone. Also the Sleep8 and the Purify O3 does not introduce any ozone into the CPAP. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    I've been using Distilled Water and washing Water Resivwoir, Hose and Mask in Palmolive Anti-Bacterial soap for 7 years 365 days/year. Soup also removes skin oil from mask cushion. No expensive ozone filters.

    With the soclean and the dreamstation. does the reservoir have to have water in it during the clean cycle? I ask because my reservoir is usually empty by the time I wake up in the morning and don't fill it until bedtime. Thanks

    • @affinityhm
      @affinityhm  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Either way it works the same. So no there does not have to be water in the reservoir for it to do its job. Thanks for the question and for watching!

    Is it normal for discoloration on the nasal pillows? I have a sleep8 cleaner and after about three uses I started noticing discoloration on the nasal pillows. I use the resmed P30i pillows and the discoloration is right around the removable piece on the front of the mask. I wondering if I should remove that piece when I clean the mask?

    • @affinityhm
      @affinityhm  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes I’ve seen some discoloration. If you use wipes on the mask from time to time it will help. Personally I wouldn’t remove parts before cleaning.

      I am a cpap user not related in any way to the guy in the video. I used to use one of these devices and then read reliable medical sources that O3 emitted from these devices is damaging to your health. I don’t use my sleep8 anymore except for items to “sterilize” that do not contact my body. I am interested in a uv steralizer.

    Do you have to empty the water out of the reservoir before using the So Clean 2 on the RedMed 10?

    • @affinityhm
      @affinityhm  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s not required every day but should be emptied and replaced every other day at least.

      Aileen Beyer in the Lumin drawer the light could not penetrate to the inside of the tube. That’s why the bullet is needed.

    I have gotten mold in the area of my DreamStation that holds the water chamber because it stay damp. It appear the SoClean system would eliminate that problem whereas the others you demonstrated would not. Do you have any thoughts on this?

    • @affinityhm
      @affinityhm  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any of these cleaners will effectively sanitize the water chamber. After mold has built up to this point I recommend a new chamber.

    I just hook my machine to end of climit hose hooked to resmed and run it for the 30 minutes let sit for 1.5 hours more so ozone dispensers so cpap,tank and hose gets cleaned. Then use standard tube to hook mask to my machine and zip the mask in reamed case, run same way mask, case get sterilized.
