- Dropping some power player tips on my customers for Robotron 2084, my game of the month selection for my Barbershop Arcade competition at 5 Diamond Salon. Come in and give it a shot, and leave looking good win or lose.

This game truly is love/hate. I play it everyday and after I die, I don't wanna touch this game, then wake up next day and playing again. Being doing this for 25 years.
Heard that, you have a decent high score? Not sure if you’ve heard of the Mister FPGA but if I could get a nice dual joystick couch controller built I think I’d play this and Smash TV on that all the time.

Just found you and I'm already a fan. I love the concept of your barber shop and the whole retro gaming vibe. Love it. p.s I'm practicing robotron but oh boy is it a challenge. And seek out the Eugene Jarvis video about robotron and his on going journey to get a million points.
Broccoli heads lol. Love this game, incredibly addictive and such rich, classic sound and color effects! Your arcade setup looks perfect , looks very comfortable for playing for long periods. What is crazy about this game is I'd say that only the first level is it EASY not to die, after that, anything can happen. I play with the standard beginning three extra lives... I edited it and gave myself 20 lives because I barely make it past wave 8.. well I still didn;t do much better and in fact I didn't even beat my high score.
Robotron is not a game of the month. It is the game of every month. Best arcade game ever, hands down.
I'd buy that for a dollar
There’s a Robotron 2084 cabinet at an arcade near me and I am addicted to it. I wish it was available on consoles.
Ya no home versions do it justice. For me it’s Geometry Wars or nothing if I need a twin stick console fix.
@@JayTheBarber603 I went on a hunt looking for the closest thing on the Switch eshop and they have a game called Cecconoid which is basically a black and white Robotron clone but I want the real game.
There’s a game on the Nintendo eshop called Ceccanoid which is a Robotron clone but not nearly as good. I’ll check out geometry wars!
@@Zodemus I’ll check that out. Geometry wars 3 is probably the most accessible as far as consoles it’s on, but the original is more of an arcade experience. They are both incredible in different ways.

Not bad for an amateur ha ha can't seem to take this game to the next level.
It takes a very very long time to get good enough to play forever. I’ve played since it came out.
Robotron is a great game, play it quite a bit on my cab.
I need to get back into it, it’s so brutal.
Never did well on that game in the arcade, but played it on PS1 and got a lot further.
Every time I come back to this game I’m like how did I ever get even remotely good at it? So brutal, but I love it
