I just financed for a Chevy Cruise 2012 and I’m didn’t have it for a week and the check engine light is on is reading the same codes and the car is leaking oil also, the car has 190,000 miles. What can I do?
Hey man I just replaced my throttle body , oil filter , all spark plugs , an my starter but before i replaced my throttle body it was starting to. Now it’s not starting or turning over .
I’m getting P1101, P2227, P0097, P2199, and P0496. They all seem to be pointing to the same issue. What would you suggest I try first from this list of 4 potential fixes?
2017 cruze lt 1.4. cel light came on. jiffy lube diagnosed it and told me it was the maf sensor. i cleaned it and the light came back on within a day. i then cleaned (what i could reach) the throttle body with cleaner+paper towels. the light was off for 2 weeks and came back on today. what else should i do?
Since it went away for a while after you cleaned it, maybe it just needs a bit more cleaning; otherwise, I would replace the MAF sensor and check for a vacuum leak.
I recently got my routine transmission service for my 2017 Chevy Cruze at an auto shop in my area. I got the fluid changed… it was just standard routine maintenance for my transmission. After getting my car back from the auto shop and taking a couple of short drives, the check engine light came on my Chevy Cruze gave the P1101 error code. Is it a possibility the error code came on due to the transmission service?
@@cheesyninja9405 - it turns out the error code came on due to a defective/dirty mass air flow sensor. After the mass air flow sensor was replaced the error code went away for good. Thank you for your input!
@@johngriggscomedy nice job! i have a customer that came in this afternoon with this code i’m currently still following the diagnostic card to try and figure out the cause for this

Okay had all my sensors replaced. When I plug my reader in get P1101 notice vacuum is going over max value. Does that mean smoke test is Next?

Check the starter connections. As long as the starter is good, it should turn over even if the other components are bad.
What website is that?

2nd gen cruze with this code most likely is caused by a clogged pcv orifice
Good comment 👍
Vacuum leak pcv valve replace valve cover
Replace the valve cover
PCV the site has it abbreviated wrong and reading it like that almost made me say it wrong too...lol
