Nothing for nothing, but Fliteboard propellers don't even engage if it detects that the board is upside down. They also disengage if you pearl the nose and/or fall off. Basic safety features.
Lift has angle sensors to cut the motor too. I believe the New Waydoo EVO has angle / tilt sensors. Agreed that they are basic safety features. One thing Lift lacks though is an auto safety lock on the remote to mitigate unintentional acceleration. I think they are the only brand lacking this very basic safety feature.
A few models of efoil, the prop guard/shroud/duct may actually be *essential for the performance of the eFoil. Removal of this equipment will adversely affect the operation of the eFoil. ⚠️ Don't try this at home: putting carrots or other objects in your efoil prop. ⚠️ Also you are responsible for any modifications or changes you make to your efoil; prop coverings, or any other equipment. There's already some brands and third-party companies testing preproduction toroidal props. Probably by next year there will be some officially available.
