I own a Street Rod and my last bike was the Vulcan S. The Street Rod has around 10 more horses and is way more sporty handling but the Vulcan S is a lot more comfortable. I also think the Kawasaki has better engineering and less mechanical bugs like no issues getting into neutral and no engine heat onto your thighs unlike the Harley. I owned both for a while but I kept the Harley because it has a belt drive and required less wrenching on it because of that. Having no chain to lubricate and adjust every 500 miles is amazing when you ride a lot.
I think you're spot on with what you said!! Jon was just telling me the other day about the chain maintenance. Does seem like a pain! Thanks for checking out the video!
Great video however you were a little off on your stats. The street rod has almost 70 horsepower and the Kawasaki has about 60 horsepower. The Kawasaki also has an ergo fit, which means that there are three positions that you can set by way of different seats and adjusting the handlebars. You can sit a little closer to the Kawasaki if you like.. for me I like the street rod.. in fact I am purchasing one this week. 👍 Keep up the good work, I really like the channel.
Thank you for the corrections!! I appreciate it. What an awesome purchase! I loved riding the Street Rod. So smooth and peppy. Congrats on the new bike! Ride safe!
Hey Brandon, it's B Buff in Kansas City MO. Just wanted to clarify a few things for you and the other subscribers. First, I bought my HD 750 Street Rod in July 2017. It's identical to the one in the video. I've been riding Japanese sport bikes since 1979 when I bought my 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000 Z1r, 90 HP and 535 LBS. The 2017 HD 750 Street Rod is 525 LBS and 68 HP. I live exactly one mile from the KCMO Harley Davidson manufacturing plant. The plant closed last summer 2019. During the last 2 years of the HD plant operation, they manufactured and built................are you ready???...........the Harley Davidson 750 Street Rod motorcycle that is featured in this, and every other TH-cam video about the 750 Street Rod made for the AMERICAN market. USA made, and USA built. Anyway, I said I would always buy a Harley if they ever produced a motorcycle with similar characteristics and performance of a Japanese sport bike, and well guess what, they did!! It's actually a pretty good bike.
@@brandonclement The HD 750 Street Rod, and all Street models for the AMERICAN market are currently being produced at the York, PA manufacturing plant.
I ride a street rod for past 20 months in Bangalore, india and yes glad that others have cleared the things up regarding the horse power. It goes from 0-60 miles in 4 seconds. Street 750 has low HP under 50 though. Street glide also has low HP under 70. Harleys are not known for their HP rather their torque. Torque monsters. Nice channel, subscribed. Take care, good luck.
I had some difficulty getting my leg over the Harley. I also looked at the Sportser 883 and the XL1200ns. I liked the 1200 the best because of its styling and low seat. This old fart don't bend like he used to. If I were confined to one of these, just for ease of getting on and off the bike I'd go with the Vulcan S. I also really like the Yamaha Bolt. It just fits in every way. But as I'll probably be buying used you kind of have to go with the best bang for the buck. So who knows! I also sat on the Vulcan 900, which has great reviews but it's just to much of a reach to get the the foot controls. The handle bars can be adjusted but in the factory position they were too far away as well. This is keeping in mind the I have to sit pretty much straight up because of my back. Thanks Jackie, for sharing you opinion. It will be weighed with everything else I've learned!
Thanks for checking out the video and for your input! I would love to try a Yamaha Bolt. Jon had one a little while back, but it was before I started learning. Ride safe!
I would choose the Kawi. I had a friend that had that Harley 750 and it was in the shop 4 times the first yr. Not my idea of reliable. Go with comfort, it will make you more confident!

Way more comfy!! Thanks for watching!
@@JackiesMotoGarage one thing i would love to see is a comparison within a brand of bikes that use the same engine e.g. Kawasaki Ninja 650 vs Vulcan S vs Z650 vs VERSYS 650 etc.
I don't know how you would pull it off, maybe some fans of the channel would be willing to help.
I haven't seen any other channel do it, mind you I haven't checked hard.
@@RichGrueber great idea!! If we can get our hands on some of those we will definitely do it!
@@JackiesMotoGarage Thanks really looking forward to it....
I like your style of bikes
Thanks!! I appreciate you checking out my video!
Cuál se te hace más cómoda para viajar, la harley street o la kawuazaki vulcan s 650
The Vulcan looks WORLDS better than the Harley. Better just about in every way.
The Street Rod 750 & Vulcan S are the Best Cruiser Motorcycle for Beginners
i Mean "Sport-Cruiser" ✌😄
It’s not fly by wire, lovely vid however my wife is watching now.
Shoot, I guess Jon lied to me then 🤣. Thanks for the correction and I appreciate you both checking out my video!
Great video.... And no wheelies lol
Thank you!!! I'll leave the wheelies to Jon 🤣
lol like his vids too just think his wheelies are over done. You guys have a great day. Stay safe out there.
Omg your spoilt for choice. Lucky lady 👍👍
A lot of bikes circulate through our home! That's what happens when you have a husband that buys and sells motorcycles. It has been cool seeing which ones are easier for me to ride! Thanks for checking out the video!
Kawasaki all day long ❤️
Yes! I agree.
how nice it would have been to listen to the engines instead of that elevator music ;-)
You´re looking way cooler (and more relaxed) on the vulcan (and the color matches the shirt, too lol). You´re invited to my vid´s if you like btw.
The Vulcan is now the one I've been practicing on the most! I checked out your channel! Nice videos! Thanks for your support, too!
@@JackiesMotoGarage You´re perfectly welcome! Thanks for your visit and your praise! Very much appreciated!

Good choice!!
Chain drives are a pain in the wazoo.
That seems to be the case with a lot of Jon's bikes. But they do serve a purpose for him!! Luckily he knows how to do all that maintenance so he can teach me!
Neither are really starter bikes
. Want a starter bike? Get a Rebel! The same shit you're crying about for comfort on the HD is just a little customization.... Also, get outta that monotone style of speech. This is supposed to be for entertainment not history class!
First off she wasn't crying, merely giving her opinion. And 2nd, she can speak however she wants, its her channel and her voice. And 3rd, maybe YOU can learn to STOP nitpicking/ criticizing and be less of a douchebag. How's that for your history class. It's condescending jerkoffs like you that don't let people be themselves.
