    Great job restoring the CA, friend had a B that he let us use for a couple years, definitely needs those wheel weights!

    Mine has the lever on the right, is the process the same? Currently the hand clutch doesn't disengage on my CA, only the foot clutch

      Yes it is the exact same procedure just mirrored from the left to the right.

      @@The1952caallis any ideas on what may cause the clutch to not break power flow through the axle?

    • @The1952caallis

      May be a few issues. A mechanical problem with the actuator, clutch facing rusted to clutch linings and sometimes previous owners have bolted the clutch together so it will not slip.

      @@The1952caallis I looked into it, it seems my adjustment hub isnt engaging. Any chance you could show me how to adjust it? Neither of my shop manuals describe or show diagrams for adjusting it.

    Are you running inside and outside wheel weights on the front? What is the outside casting #?

    • @The1952caallis
      @The1952caallis  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Front inner weights are #AM-4688
      Front outer weights are #AM-3684

    Just bought one of these beauties, I'm assuming there are many resources on keeping them going out there. Anything you could recommend? Great video BTW.

    Can you tell me where you purchased the parts from to rebuild it?

    Two questions- are the hand clutch parts the same if it’s mounted in the LH final drive vs. the RH and what’s the casting number for the inside wheel weights? Thanks.

      The only difference in the clutch parts is the actuator which bolts on the differential housing. I don't remember what the cast number is on the weights. I was going to look but I would need to dismount the weights from the wheel center to see it, so I got lazy and left it alone.

    Good day Interesting video. I never had CA, had B, & 45. Now how do you get live power, pull clutch lever that stops 1 side , shouldn't other wheel keep going. They are not in oil either? Thanks

    • @The1952caallis
      @The1952caallis  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      To get live power one must pull the hand clutch lever back. This breaks the axle on one side and the differential does the rest. It works just as if one wheel is spinning in a mud hole. Unfortunately it is a dry clutch. It would have been great if AC would have designed an oil bath clutch like the WD. All it would have needed is a little bigger final drive housing with a sealed oil chamber.

    Great video thanks and it might be time to update your tap and glow flashlight.

      @@The1952caallis I bought a nice Milwaukee USB rechargeable flashlight, pricey $79.00 but a great light. I carry it everyday in my carpenters pants, leg pocket. Eye blinding, less blinding and strobe settings, had it for over a year and just have to recharge it like a phone (just not every day like most phones).
