I'm just gonna copy'n'paste my comment from another video that finally showed me the true arcade version. I like this one better because it's louder: I kept watching game replays to find the track Junk Factory... and it's all basically an N64 version of the music. I was starting to question my sanity... none of those replays sounded like I remembered... Did it really just sound that much better in my head as I remembered? And then I find this. Thank you for restoring my sanity. It slaps as now as much as it did then when I was a kid with quarters burning in my pocket waiting to play.
Thank you so much for publishing this- and especially for writing a timestamp for each song! I'm adding this to my playlist of music to study to, and it's really helpful so far with focusing. Raise the flag, X-Men. And let's go be amazing!
I might be mistaken 🤔 but there's one missing for the attract mode I remember it had one that was like x xxxxxx men and keep going it always caught my attention and would be like this wild x men nostalgic thing for me but I can't remember if it was double screen version or not. It's the one basically at 6 minutes but was kinda different from what I remember...
This is the music as it sounds from the arcade machine. The soundtrack was released on a compilation album back in the day (Konami All Stars 1993: Music Station of Dreams) and was mixed differently as well as with higher quality samples. That might be what you're thinking of.
I just played through the whole game on an original 6-player earlier today. It does sound slightly different (and better, IMO) out of the original cabinet. Whether that is a weakness of the emulation or just hearing it without the original tuned speakers, I don’t know. There are at least a couple versions on TH-cam with different balances/mixing, so I’m betting at least part of it is the emulation.
GREAT X-MEN ARCADE SOUNDTRACK !!!

41:52 is my takeaway
I feel like some instruments/channels are missing from this upload (or some are too loud and others too quiet). Is it just me?
