Excellent. You will get over the seasickness it is just a matter of time. For most people it starts to get better after three or four days. But spend any significant time ashore and you will have to find those sea legs again.
So glad you crossed so well and thanks for putting that video out there- as promised - great down to earth ( well sea!!😂) vid well done looking forward to next week from you both as always Malc uk 🇬🇧 👍👍👋
With the benefit of hindsight would you follow the coastal route if you did it again. With only two of you, 2 on and 2 off is going to lead to exhaustion maybe think about extending the off bit during the day. You did well though The Bay of Biscay is not for the faint-hearted.
I think we’d still make the same choice - we had limited time in Spain because of the 90 day Schengen limit and you can end up waiting for weather for a long time along the north coast of Spain. By day 3 or 4 we’ve found that our bodies get used to the watch schedule, it’s just a bit brutal getting to that point 😅
What is the wire that comes out of the aft cabin at the top of the door and appears to go up and out in to the cockpit? It’s not the power and data leads for the MFD is it?
well done! I'm wondering if your rig might need a tune-up, looking at your shrouds as you slam waves at th-cam.com/video/mc720Rhke-M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZrUbegmhD7uPdekh&t=756 one of them looked very loose. I guess this was filmed ages ago and you might have fixed it by now, but still wanted to mention it.
Yeah I have tweaked those forward lowers since then... But I am still learning the techniques to tuning. I'm getting there. The rest of rig is in a decent place tension wise.
Brilliant you two. Just shared this on the Chichester Marina community page. Love to you both. John and Claire xx
I enjoyed your video Stu & Laura, thank you❤
You’re welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
great video

Outstanding achievement, both of you. By the way, you have a nice boat. Cheers.
Thanks! 🙏
Perfect speed to put out a fishing line

Really glad you enjoyed it and see you next week!
What a fantastic video. It's not often that I come across a very 'real' and frank video of what such a passage looks like. Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you for such a nice comment - we tried hard to capture the reality of this passage and I'm glad it came across on screen!
Just come across this video and your channel. Is that accent English/American/Irish? 😊. Will check out the other videos also, good channel!!
Half English Half American! It's a strange accent for sure. Glad you are enjoying the channel

What year is your yacht looks in excellent condition lovely yacht.
Looks like Malo 36
It's a Malö36 from 2002. She is indeed in great condition. We love her.

No haha that is a long usb cable that I use to charge my phone whilst in the cockpit. It is the lazy man's version of running a cable
