That but Nickelodeon is also in big trouble especially when the series called "Quiet on Set" where the producers on Nick are being exposed in abusing children who work for them since the 90's and 2000's
What I don’t understand is, Doesn’t Nick realize that Blue’s Clues & You has A LOT of global appeal? They should have never taken that show down. They made a huge mistake by making it a tax write off.

This wasn't even the FIRST BIT of removals from Paramount+, sadly.... Earlier this year, Nick Jr. Shows like "Abby Hatcher" and "Butterbean's Cafe" (two favorites among my nieces, BTW) and the only Butt Fartman Nicktoon I ever cared about, "T.U.F.F. Puppy" were removed from the service entirely without warning! This (alongside this bit of news) is EXACTLY the reason I cancelled my subscription to Paramount+.
Thanks to people like Warner Bros inventing to concept of "writing off content for cheap cash", it seems like nothing in the entertainment world (animation, live action or otherwise) is safe anymore.
@@urahara64360 I know the concept existed before that. I was just that thanks to Warner Bros’, the practice is becoming more of a common place, which is bad news for new and existing creators of multimedia content.
It never was safe. Even at the beginning, digital content wasn’t safe. I lost all my sims 3 games off of origin after their service deleted it. Also, there’s a company who’s losing the rights to certain products. They are revoking access to the content and won’t issue refunds.
I have to agree with you. Big Nate doesn't look bad. I was thinking about getting Paramount plus to see Big Nate because I only saw a few episodes on cable, but now with it being deleted as well as other shows, I don't feel like getting Paramount plus anymore.

Because of this exact sort of situation you describe - HBO Max was absorbed and the situation changed. Just giving a real world example. BTW, there's an official YT where you can see it.
In addition to the Quiet On Set documentary exposing the evils within this company and their producers and the PR fails, this is another hit to their network's standing. 3 months in and this is already a bad year for Nickelodeon. Ouch!
@RainbowDash-sn7ji I think Vhs has a shorter lifespan that dvd as if it gets too hot during the summer or something, moisture will build up causing the footage to be messed up
Streaming: *constantly removes shows and movie making some harder to watch* Physical Media: *Nobody really uses DVD’s anymore and plus some shows never seek a DVD release* Piracy: That’s where I come in… (It shouldn’t be illegal to watch movies and shows through websites if they’re basically the only way to watch them at this point)
At this point, I can see only bad things in the future, not just for the animation industry, but also for the executives behind these terrible decisions, as they will likely gain massive backlash for removing shows, canceling projects, and whatever else comes up. In the end, I do hope those executives learn their lesson, even though they probably never will.
Don't give Netflix all praises and roses, early this January, they literally pulled the plug on a sci-fi movie called The Mothership that was set to star Halle Berry. The movie started and finished shooting in 2021, with no word about its release until January of this year to which its release got cancelled. We're in some truly dangerous times for filmmaking in general if you ask me
I love how Disney Channel is just chilling throughout this whole period while Nick and CN are vanishing their shows out of existence, infact it’s probably the best kids channel on right now.
I'm more annoyed that Blue’s Clues and You is gone. I mean Come on it's Blue’s Clues. Might not be the most popular version but still. Kids should be able to watch our blue puppy whatever form she takes
That’s absurd. Whether a show is good, bad or has a cult following you should watch a show if it’s not airing anymore. No one looks at Seinfeld or any other classic show and says “wait, no new episodes air anymore, it’s a hard pass from me”.
This makes me ask myself the same question over and over: Why get a streaming service when said service’s staff are just removing so much of the content on it?
Dude are you afraid of the dark was and is the best original show Nickelodeon has ever made. I love that show. It was scary, the story was interesting, the characters were amazing. It's sad to see it like this.
Oh, no. It's not just animation that's in big trouble. The ENTIRE FILM AND TELEVISION INDUSTRY is becoming a sinking ship with no hope of salvaging it. Soon all big name studios will fall, and independent studios will take their properties and claim what is left of them.
@@Autisma515No, that would NOT be a good thing. If all of the television companies were to fall and maybe even shut down, imagine how terrible that would be. I felt like there was no point in having it anymore (even though i was just being dramatic because i knew there were still shows I liked on it) but then heard they're getting rid of a lot more. It's heartbreaking.
If this keeps up, Paramount+ may only have SpongeBob and The Loud House as our only two cartoons to watch on there. Honestly, I hate how they’re removing a lot of shows for supposedly not doing well. Hell, they even removed Back at the Barnyard along with its movie. I loved that show as a kid… It’s like they lost the purpose of streaming services. We have these to watch any shows of our choosing. Whether it’s a new series or a classic, they have stuff for everyone to enjoy at anytime. Especially some shows that haven’t been aired on normal television for over a decade or two. I swear, it’s like all of a sudden, Warner Bros. and Paramount hate animation. Something tells me the same is gonna happen across all of the other streaming services, and companies too. It’s like they want to try and extinguish animation off the face of the Earth. I _really_ hope that that will not happen… Animated shows are unique to watch. They have a nice change of pace from live-action shows.

The day I snap will be when they take away the "7 seas" option for copyright infringement WHILE keeping the content locked up with no plans to release it in any official capacity. It's one thing to take away official options for viewing, and I can also understand wanting to stop piracy IF it's currently available in some official capacity. But taking infringing content down AND not offering the same content officially? That crosses the line.
This is why i hate the current times of cartoons. When asked why its stopped airing on TVs, it used to be "because it got a happy ending" or stuff like that. Thanks to people like Warner Bros inventing to concept of "writing off content for cheap cash", it seems like nothing in the entertainment world (animation, live action or otherwise) is safe anymore.
They didn't invent the practice it's been a regular thing for decades they are doing it on a more noticeable scale but it's been a common practice.

As a Big Nate fan, this upsets me.
