You deserve more views. Crazy that so few people care about the quality of their water. I replace my filrer when the light shows red, about a month or so because i drink around 146 oz of water per day, and it filters about 40 gals.
This is very true, taking a good care of the filter and replacing the cartridge on time would help with avoiding contamination. Although safe to drink, it does have a bit of unpleasant taste, which depends on many factors of course. But I can see why people would buy these.
There are strict regulations in Germany regarding water quality, so it is mostly safe to drink, but I agree about the taste it is not always as pleasant.
Thank you! If you don't replace it regularly, the cartridge will work in the reverse mode. Instead of cleaning it will contaminate your filtered water with all the bacteria and other hazardous components which it builds up over time.
@@Meowcrob Sure, it might contaminate with bacteria (not sure if there is silver for that?). But it won't release the already trapped contaminants. The new contaminants will just pass without being removed. The filter contain ion exchange resin and carbon particles. You can remove the contaminants from the resin, but not from the activated carbon. To do so, pour 1L of saturated solution of NaCl (table salt), then few litters of tap water until it doesn't taste salty. You will extend the resin for an extra month (good for hard water, Ca++ and Iron removal).
I know this thread is a year old by now but what about mold growing in the older filter? I tend to go over on my change times (the lights never really work)... I have PUR filters on my faucet and pitcher.... My city water is heavily treated and I'm wondering if it might be better to just drink the treated water rather than risk mold growth with these filters?
Great video thanks. I would like to see the results of bottled water before and after the filter also. Is it possible you make also a video for bottled water?
Hi, I'm going to be getting a microscope for my son as he is very interested in science, he wanted me to ask, what magnification would be required to see human blood cells?
I use the Brita Matra Pro to filter lime scale especially for coffee machine and kettle but they are still full of it even tho the box claims to filter and protect appliances. The filters that I’ve been using are new.
I changed my filter like a week ago to one of the heavy duty cartridges and the water oddly enough tastes "too filtered" like its kinda dehydrating. i need those bacteria and "harmful" particles back in my water lol
Hi. I’ve recently bought a brita. After a while it made me feel strange looking at it and imagining the microbes that could be growing in it. Am I mad? My gut told me not to trust something you replace every three months?
Hey guys! This is my very first lengthy TH-cam video:) If you want to support the content, drop a like and Subscribe:) Thanks for watching!

I have one Brita filter at work and one at home for a year now. Happy to see the results of your experiment 🙂
Thank you for watching!
We used a waterfikter years ago
But i think tap water ist just safe and in your water filter can grow bacterias over time

I use it ever since I moved to Germany. The tap water gives a very weird taste.

Nice experiment! I always wondered about the effectiveness of these filters.
Thank you!
Tap water in my country is not as clean sometimes it feels like piss with yellow color🤢 one of these would be handy
Sometimes it's also rusty 😑
Cool! Very educational!
Thank you for watching :)
Coming from your comment left on Future Proof channel. Thank you, very informative!!
How can it contaminate if you don't change it on time? Great video by the way, loved the experiments.

can you boil tap water and show before and after please
Great video thanks.

Such a valuable video! thanks.
Thanks this was very useful
Thank you!
Nicely done🎉
Thank you for the feedback!
🎉 first long format video 😅 ✌️
👀
Never had these
Pretty handy in some countries I would say, where the tap water is not safe for drinking.
Hi,

Great video, subbed
Thank you!
I watched your entire video with great interest
Thank you!
@@Meowcrob Sir, if you solve all the problems I found in your channel, you will grow the channel.

😀 Give it some time, after multiple usages it will be contaminated enough to give the likable water taste:)
valid! lol@@Meowcrob
Would you be willing to do a Commercial pesticide like Temprid FX diluted at .08?
Wasn't it like a dude from cali who filed a lawsuit against them? I don't use it anyway but pretty fun to watch its capabilities
True👍🏼
Did you use the standard brita filter or the elite (blue coloured) filter?
All very interesting, thanks. I am based in the UK :)
can you try the OKO bottle filter ? thanks
Bro u a legenddd
I knew it. Meowcrob is in the pocket of Big Brita.
😮

i suppose you could steam clean the filter
what's this about a lawsuit? 🤔
They are being accused for false advertisement that their product removes hazardous contaminants from tap water.
Как профессионально 😍
Thank you😊
I pour Boiling water into mine 🙂
And I have visited your whole channel and found some problem in your channel which is causing your subscribers and views problem.
👍
Or Brita paid you to scare everyone into buying Brita filters more often ? 🙂
