  • Perhaps I need to connect something else to the computer as I don't want to abandon the soft synths.
I do want to abandon the Rodecaster Pro II however. What a piece of work that thing has been for me!
    First world problems.
Update: Push 2 has been sold since I filmed this. I have other device that can fill in if needed. (LPP Apc40 MKII) No regrets.

You can always sequence the softsynths via midi from any midi capable external device. there's a tiny app that even allows you to just run the VST's outside the DAW and just send MIDI directly.
As always it's mostly just a question of what your goal is 😊

@@sandroidmusic true on the goals. I’m finally finding mine. Taken long enough 🤣

Perhaps a Zoom L-20 or other device from their Live Track series can help mix and record at the same time?
They also have a rack version which would fit right near your patchbay.

+1 on the recommendation of the Livetrak series. Had an L-20 myself. And if it is too big, there's also the L-12 and i think an L-8.
If you don't need so many channels but want some flexibility, don't underestimate the power of a patchbay (cheap and good investment).
