Great video. Get the winch people to send you another one, then put one at either end of the field and you can winch back and forward - no long walks to the start. (Attached the unused rope to your back so you drag it out there).
Attaching the unused rope to your back seems like a safety issue. If the rope wraps around a stick in the ground or something, and you are coming to an abrupt stop.

Knee replacement surgery then becomes your option. You won't like it. Be cool Brother. You rock too hard on boards to risk it.

It seems like you could do so much with the motowinch. I mean put it on a sled and walk up, tie a small paracord to it and get multiple people up hill. Just take turns trekking it and save energy.
Grew up doing this behind cars and snowmobiles, with a water-ski hitch. Never understood why more people hadn't caught on. It is a bit hurkey-jerky though, cuz your always being pulled forward. And, If you get to deep into your turns it can pull you straight out of your boots.
It's been a thing for a long time, what some pro snowboarders do for street videos. Just no ones going out of their way to do something a kite or a snowmobile can do better in this situation.
