Loving these explanations man. I haven't had enough time to work through these interactions myself, and it's nice to have a bite-size video. Keep it up man!
I agree about Silent's style, and kinda "mesmerizing" formula "informative + smooth". What the end of the video left me question this important topic is - "wouldn't this be complete if there would be a few advices what affixes I should chase and what affixes to sacrifice, on what items, etc. in order for nice resistance amount?" Thank you a load
you should use the black sun, ending the storm, reign of dragons, age of winter, and spirits of fire blessings to take what resistances you can(whichever ones you dont absolutely need for other defenses or offense). Beyond that, you should try to get most of your resists on suffixes for rings, belts, relics, amulets, and helmets when possible. While gloves, boots, and chests can give you them as well with chests giving the highest, those pieces also have some of the best health mods in the game.
good question! You still take 1000. Uncapped will only come it to play if you have some explicit effect reducing resistance. It doesn't apply to the "level based" reduction.
@@silentstill Wow, that sucks. So at high level, 75% resistance to all reduces my damage taken less than half. Because if I had no resistance I would take 1750 dmg. And those resistances are expensive stats. Seems like they are very weak.

So what if my uncapped resistance is 150% and I get hit by 1000 damage in a lvl 75 zone, do I now take 1000 or 250 damage?

At 700 corruption these small precentages add up to thousands of dmg lol
