Looks like the handle was surprisingly functional. This is my first year doing the advent calendar. I would not worry about the time. I plan to watch the videos before I open to get excited about what’s coming that day.
This razor reminds me of the multi knife/tool i had growing up. I day release at your regular time as they don't have to watch until after they shave. Have a great eeek
That's a cool razor! Before I got an Advent calendar, I looked forward to seeing people's reviews as I scrolled in the morning, and they were usually posting them pretty early. I wouldn't worry about changing your routine. Also, if you post at noon, a lot of people won't see it until evening. Now that I have an Advent calendar, I am not worried about anything being spoiled because it's just as easy to open it as to look on Facebook.
Release at your regular time, B. You’ll never please everyone. They know when your video is out and you don’t have to spoil it with the thumbnail or title. Great shave!
IMO, Stirling’s soap samples are one of the best values in wet shaving! Two of my personal favorites are Glastonbury and Arkadi, so good! Shave on Brother!
Christmas Eve is really great this time of year! For Advent Calendar videos, whatever time works. I'm an every other day shaver so I might have started mine to end on time 👀
What a fun razor! You did get me on the towel bet 😂 My vote is to just post your advent as usual. I'll be jumping out of bed to go open my advent bag, so no worries of spoilers here.
Those Stirling Soap Samp bundles are the best Value in the business . Never thought to buy two of the same for a two ounce container! I love being able to try new scents while not having to buy a ton of soap. I’ve been 3D printing some containers . Although I’m sure those tins are a better value! Thank you for sharing.
Interesting razor. I have used Christmas Eve a number of times since I received it. The scent is very nice as you said. I have no preference on when you release your videos. Very considerate of you with respect to your viewers.
Sitting here in the dark in a tree, no better way to start my hunt 😂. Cool shave tool. You just jogged my memory of something I been wanting to do. I just went to Sterling and picked up a couple samples each of their Sheep Tallow offerings. Have a good day.
Great video Bary! Great review of Stirling Soap Co's Christmas Eve soap/splash and the travel razor. I'm looking to receiving my Stirling shipment tomorrow with my Christmas Eve set, along with some Black Friday deals.
Thank you, my friend! I have my cart loaded on Stirlings website right now with more, lol. I need to pick up Destination Unknown after smelling the bath soap.
It's funny I was just telling Matthew about an idea that I've had for a while for a straight razor that opens and locks like a pocket knife, that would make it into a kamisori. I have a hard time using western style straight razors because I have an essential tremor and kamisoris are easier for me to use. I think I could make a design that would adapt for vintage straight razors. The problem with kamisoris is that you have to have a cap to protect the blade and with the folding design that's taken care of. That's an interesting razor and that sound reminds me of the Focus pivoting razor with all the clicking. The head sign reminds me of the old Schick travel razor, but that one doesn't lock. Have a great one Bary!
You pointed out so well why Stirling is such a great company. I buy the 5 pack 1 ounce pucks because I know they both last long enough and allows me to have more variety in my soaps. I really wish more companies would have this as a buying option (I only know of Stirling and Mama Bear's 1.5 ounce pucks) though I can understand the economy of scale as to the likely why it isn't an option. As for the advent calendar schedule, I think releasing when you normally do is the best course of action. As for the razor, that was interesting looking indeed. My fear would be my clumsiness would break it. Fun video.
Thank you, my friend! Stirling definitely has some of the best value. I think releasing at my normal time is the general consensus currently. I doubt you could break this razor. It is made quite well!
As soon as I seen the razor, I clicked your link. Was able to order it fo a special first time Ali Express user $.99. Had to get it just for the uniqueness. Then I watched the rest of uour video. Cold try doing advent calendar on each day of advent or 1 day earlier. But I aldo think just do them like you usually fo your shave videos.
Hey Bary, I have been using Stirling samples since day one.... the only difference is I actually purchase Stirling's own small empty green tubs! Christmas eve is a great scent! As for the advent calendar, do it at your convenience, no spoilers here. By the way, you probably could have gotten away on your second pass without any soap because of the slickness that Stirling soaps leave on your face from the first pass😂 Take care!
🥶👑 - I'm definitely getting one of those razors after your review, at that price why not 🤣. I have those tins and also some soap travel containers from Ali Express, I put my samples including Stirling in those containers and "tub load" from them. I have one in my travel bag pre loaded with a Stirling sample as well. I swear just watching your videos obvious things that I don't think of come to mind, I remembered I have Stirling splash samples and put them in my travel kit, your right samples are perfect for travel! I bought LOTS of soap samples when I first started DE, about a year ago and I still have a few left, I use samples 90% of the time I shave and it taken me almost a year to go through them all 🤣. I've limited my purchases to balm/splash and hardware with an OCCASIONAL soap. Also I'm more focused on hardware right now, I need to get more variety of razors. As far as the advent calender, I think your fine with your 6 am releases unless you put the name of the scent in your title. If it's just like "PAA Advent calendar" day one or something I don't think that spoils anything, and if someone complains they shouldn't have watched 🤣.
Thank you Alex! Yes, I have decided to release at my normal time. My thumbnail will be generic all 12 days with just the number of the day changing. Samples RULE for travel. You can take so many scents!. I too discovered 2 aftershave samples in my dopp bag this last trip I forgot were in there lol.
G'day from Australia. For the price, seems like it is worth having in a collection and it appears to be an efficient mild shaver. Thanks for the review! Cheers mate Pete
Someone (looking at Steve Tinter) needs to make that razor in Titanium (lighter), tighten up the tolerances and make that a spring loaded mechanism 😳😂😉 I too was impressed with the colorlamb “knifezor” and it is quite hefty… price was well worth it💪🏼. The little crescent indent rests the razor well on the side of my sink😂
It really is unique. It's made oretty well already, but it could use some improvements. Maybe if a knife company designed one? But for under $20 it was a win in my books. Thanks for watching Felipe!
Definitely handy as a travel razor👌
Absolutely! Taking it on a trip in January. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, it's a conversation piece for sure! And very surprising shave.

Yes, sir! I was thinking Swiss Army knife when I first saw it, lol. Or maybe a Boy Scout knife.

@ATexanShaves for the price is pretty good. Hopefully, a company pick up some ideas and comes up with something cool.
And for under $20 if the TSA takes it it's not a big deal.
