- You don’t really need much equipment to make tinctures, but some key pieces help. A simple press and a simple dispenser make medium scale production a bit more efficient.

I have the same press. I screwed mine to a board that I can then clamp to a table.
For small amounts of herb it doesn’t do so well and I found I still had to squeeze the herb by hand and got another 50m of tincture.
@@vancamerawoman7399 - I have since switched to a homebuilt hydraulic press using a bottle jack - much better.
Just subbed! Over from Southern Prepper. Good content, right up our alley.....looking to make tinctures w my herbs and stuff this yr as well, so this looks interesting.....Don't think we'd get a fancy press for just home use tho. This has me thinking about posting again, been 6 mos....a lot has happened...thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the sub! The press wasn't very expensive and is pretty good quality. The dispensing machine (another video) is along the same lines. Durable and still useful in a grid down.
@@tablerockteacompany Great thanks for the info. I left my nursing career (b4 the coof) to get back to basics, for many reasons. It is time to get back to the wilderness for sure. This will be yr 5 for us w chickens etc. We used to post regularly, but had some issues w mold in the house, and hubby having minor spinal chord injury and all....so we kind of just let the channel go. We need to get back into it....especially w having a greenhouse now....ND/Zone 3 here......we can get away with some 4 crops as well. I'll check out the dispensing machine video.
What do you do with the leftover leaves after pressing? Try Drying them out, grind up and make incense 👍
Good thought. I'm not sure we have the bandwidth for yet another project, but good thought.
